A Land of Pleasures...
Standing alone in the middle of the mountains is what travelers would consider the ultimate oasis. Standing strong out of the sandy mountains is a large city made almost entirely of marble. Though this land may seem like one only for nobles, the merchandise and housing is surprisingly cheap as well. Yes, this is a land where any man can have his fill.
In this city there are two places considered to be the most luxurious; the many brothers, and the large town square.
The brothels have many young women and men, but unfortunately, these are probably the most costly things in the city. In the square, however, one can find almost anything at a decent price. You can find many foods, jewelry, pottery. There are vendors of materials and clothing, food and water and in one shady spot, there are large cages from which you can pick out and buy pets, farm animals... and even slaves.
A Tale of Horror...
Below the mountains there is a small town called Palesus, a town bearing the mark of a strong tower. The people of this town are average but very close together. These people do not take to outsiders well and will defend their town with their lives. Unfortunately, one horrible night, they defended and lost their precious town to an invading army, and none of the villagers were heard from again.
The Empty Eyes...
In the back of a large cage in the square of the fabled marble city, a young man sits, hugging his knees to his chest. His hair is a messy blond, his skin tanned and dirty, and his now empty eyes a mossy green. Every day he sees people buying off the people he is told are his companions and every day he sees them mistreated. At night he often dreams of this fate which will befall him soon enough and wakes up, not sleeping for the rest of the night. He will often pray that he will be bought by a kind person and be able to be at least healthy and unharmed with his master, though he knows it's probably useless.
This boy waits silently in his cage day by day, waiting for his master to finally take his hand.

I am considered way too nice at times and people wonder why my face hasn't frozen from smiling so much.

I dislike noise, being woken up while taking a nap, and being called 'pretty'.

Perseus woke in the shows of his cage once again in the night and stared listlessly at the large, full moon. He hugged his knees to his chest again and glanced off to the side, knowing once again he would not be going back to sleep. As the sun rose and everyone woke up it didn't take long for more of his companions to be bought and replaced by newer boys and girls. At around noon he was given his usual meal of bread and a small bowl of vegetables. He was surprised to find a bit of meat in his bowl today and hoped it was a sign that today would be better than the others before it.

Rin was tugged along towards the vendor in which pets were purchased. "Why are we here again?" he asked, wondering why his friend, Apollo, was bringing him here. He was told, for the sixth time, that he needed someone to keep him company. "Fine... I'll get one." the blonde sighed and spoke to the vendor about the best choices. He found no interest in the many animals and slaves though, except for a cage farther back.
Walking back to it, looked the cage over and wondered why it was so far back. "How much is this one?" he asked and was surprised by how little it cost. Apollo gestured him to buy it, especially since it wasn't so much. "Fine fine fine. I'll take it." he said, paying and picking up the cage. He and Apollo walked back to his own home. "Well... now to see what it is..." he said softly before sighing. Apollo was shocked and asked why Rin hadn't looked inside first.
"Well... you forced me so I just picked what I found interesting..." he shrugged and set the cage in the middle of the floor. Opening the cage, he opened it and stood back. "Come on out. I don't bite." he smiled and waited for his new pet to come out into the light.

Perseus could see two men walking through the section, obviously to buy some sort of pet probably for their amusement he assumed. He was slightly surprised when they came closer to his area instead of buying a suggested pet or slave. 'Don't get your hopes up... they're here for some pretty little pet that they can torture and toy with like all of the others...' he assured himself in thought.
When his cage was moved it was the first time he had moved from his huddled position other than when he slept. He had his hands against the cold walls to keep himself steady. He felt slightly frightened at the realization that he had been bought and feared his new masters reaction more when the man said he never looked at him.
When the cage was set down and finally opened he hesitated but slowly emerged from the cage. When he came out he had to shield his eyes, the light being very hard on them. The light showed him to be a shorter than average and obviously underfed teenage boy with jaw length, dirty blond hair and tanned skin, his empty, mossy eyes were squinted though his hand shielded them from the light and looked up at the blond man with nervousness and fear. He was dressed in torn, dirty clothing that looked typical of any slave boy. He waited for his master to speak to him, knowing most of the others got hurt for speaking without being spoken to.

Rin looked the male over, surprised that he had picked a human. He had never seen a caged human before but it was actually quite interesting. "Hello there. I'm Rin. What's your name?" he asked softly, petting the little one's head and giving a warm, welcoming smile. Apollo looked at the male and shrugged. "He's a little average looking don't ya think? The others were a bit more well kept." he shrugged. Rin gave Apollo a glare and the other male held his hands up in surrender. "So what if he's average? He is much more different than the others. I just know it."
Apollo nodded and said he was leaving before going out the door and closing it behind him. Rin looked his new 'pet' over and smiled. He was actually quite cute once you got right down to it.

Perseus was surprised by the petting but found it nice and comforting, like his mother used to do. "Perseus..." he replied softly, even more surprised when he he was defended after being called average. 'This man... he seems so kind... I don't want my hopes to be crushed by over thinking this but... I truly hope he will be this way for as long as he has me...' he thought and watched his new master, taking in every detail of his kind face and long blond hair. 'His hair is much lighter than my own... but I suppose mine would have been that way too if I was never sold...' he thought and found himself staring.

"Alright then, Perseus. How about a nice meal and a warm bath. I doubt you've had either for a long time. Follow me." he smiled and led the smaller male into the kitchen, gesturing for him to sit at the table. He made a quick batch of pancakes, eggs and bacon for the other and set it down in front of him. "I know it's not morning, but I couldn't think of anything else to make for you." he admitted and poured Perseus some orange juice. "I'll go prepare your bed. Or would you prefer to share a room with me?" he asked. Some people didn't like sleeping alone, so Rin took this into consideration.
"I'll go run your bath alright." he smiled and walked up the stairs and into the bathroom. He ran the water in the tub and added bubbles. Making sure the water wasn't too hot or too cold, Rin was happy that he had someone to talk to.

Perseus looked in shock at the food he was given, not even sure if his stomach could handle it, he looked up at Rin with a still unsure but slightly more trusting gaze, "Um... thank you.. um, master..?" he asked, not sure if he should call him that or not. He tried a bit of the pancakes timidly and found himself only able to finish one and a strip of bacon before feeling like he might be sick if he ate more. When he was asked about beds he felt nervous again, "I haven't slept in a bed in a long time... only my cage..." he said, "But... I would like to stay with you, if that's okay..." he said. 'If I don't, I might wake up and think this was all just a dream...' he thought.
When Rin mentioned the bath he followed him and watched him. He felt very hopeful and blessed all of a sudden when he felt the warmth wafting off from the water and shivered a bit.

"Oh and Perseus, you can just call me Rin. Go ahead and get washed up. I'll go get some clothes for you." he patted Perseus' head before exiting the bathroom and going to his room. He found a smaller shirt and a pair of shorts that would fit the other nicely. He walked back into the bathroom, he knocked first of course, and put the clothes on the sink. "Those should fit. Relax in the bath as long as you want alright." he chuckled and went back downstairs.
He munched on a pancake that remained and sighed. He doesn't seem to have ever been with anyone. If he has been, he must have been mistreated... Rin thought before going back upstairs and going into his room to find an extra unused toothbrush.

Perseus nodded and undressed before slowly getting into the bath. He found the warm water soothing and for the first time in a very long time, he smiled very softly. He found some soap and a wash cloth and cleaned the dirt from his skin, then washed his hair. He felt like he wanted to look nice for Rin's sake. He wanted the other to be happy with him. He let himself relax for a short while longer before getting out. He dried himself carefully and was surprised when he didn't recognize himself in the mirror. His hair was now a lighter blond, close to Rin's color but still darker and his skin was a slightly darker creamy color. he put on the clothes and made sure his hair was nice and dry, as well as brushed before going downstairs again.
He looked around when he didn't see Rin, though he knew he had been there once he saw the slightly nibbled on pancake that he had left behind. he frowned a bit, assuming Rin was in his room but not knowing where that was.

Rin trotted down the stairs and smiled at Perseus. "Hope you had a nice bath. You smell nice as well." he chuckled and ran a hand from Perseus' hair down to his cheek. "I just went to go get you a toothbrush and such. Tell me what you like to do, and what you want to do right now." he asked, going over and sitting on the couch.
"Come sit with me. You must have been tired of sitting in that cage everyday. It's comfortable." he invited and patted the couch beside himself. He wanted Perseus to be able to trust him with his life. He would so his best to make sure Perseus was happy before himself.

Perseus couldn't help blushing a very faint pink at the gentle touch. He nodded slightly and joined him on the couch, "Well.. um, what I like to do...? I suppose just small games and finding pretty things, like shiny rocks and flowers..." he said softly, still a bit nervous, "I don't really mind what happens now... I didn't have anything in mind..." he said.
He gave Rin a slightly apologetic look, "Um, sorry for not eating everything you made... I didn't eat well while waiting to be sold so... my stomach can't handle it all..."

"Please don't apologize. It's absolutely fine." he smiled and wrapped and arm around the smaller male. "How about later we go outside and look for some pretty flowers?" he suggested. "As for right now, tell me what you feel like doing. I just want you to happy." he gave Perseus another warm smile. He took a few strands of the other's hair and looked at it. "Your hair is a very nice color. I like it." he complimented.

Perseus felt more nervous when Rin put his arm around him but smiled very slightly at the suggestion and nodded, thinking one of his old routines would calm him. "Um... right now...?" he paused, "I don't really know... t-though... I'd kind of like to know what you bought me for..." he admitted timidly, "Getting all of this kindness all at once and not knowing your intentions... it makes me kind of nervous..." he said. He blushed very softly again at the compliment, "o-oh? Thank you..." he smiled a bit.
