Baako was practically strutting with pride these days. The Hollow had become an addict a few weeks ago, and still couldn't get over how much better he looked now. The sleeker lines and noble horns were perfect for a creature of his good looks.
His change happened not long after the outting with Fayrhen when they were attacked by a giant bear. Apparently his obsession to get himself and his mate back in perfect grooming order, despite critical injuries, had proved he really was addicted to grooming.
Now Baako and his beautiful mate were out on a new mission; to find Baako's twin brother, Frankie. Now that Baako was an addict they weren't quite as identical, but the family resemblence was still quite strong. Or so Baako had assured Fayrhen, as they still had yet to find Frankie.

Frankie had been lazing happily in the meadow by his cozy little den. He was contentedly snoozing among some daisies after he had rolled in some mud and was covered in dried dirt clods. He didn't care. Frankie didn't really care about things like that anyways.
What he did care about was his brother and his sisters. He hadn't seen them in a very long time, and it made him sad when he thought about it. Frankie didn't like being sad. He really missed his brother Baako. Baako was his best friend. He dreamt of him often and wished he could play with him like he used to.

Baako pushed through the trees and came out in the meadow that was, last time Baako checked, the place Frankie called him. A lump of blue and purple fur lay heaped in the meadow. It didn't appear to be moving.
"Oh no. Frankie!" He quickly moved over to the lump on the ground. "What have you done to your fur," he cried, absolutely horrified.

Fayrhen had been silently listening to her mate as he talked animatedly about his twin. When they reached the meadow, she rolled her eyes as the newly Addicted Baako charged in screaming about grooming. With a heavy sigh, she walked in after him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Frankie was abruptly woken up from his dreaming as he heard what he would've thought as Baako' voice. "B-Baako?", he called with a yawn. Shaking the sleep from his eyes, he saw a bright colored Hollow coming towards him. Then the antlers registered and he began to panic. "Oh-Oh NO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! LEAVE ME ALONE MISTER ADDICT!"
Baako had already placed a large paw over his brother's shoulder blades, pinning the excitable fox down like he always did before grooming.
"Last year it was prickers, and the year before that it was pine sap!" Baako, shuddered, remembering the horrible week it had taken to remove the stuff. It didn't help that Frankie knew most of his tricks and Baako had to practically drag his brother into the river. Frankie thought it was all one giant game, which was probably why he always got dirtied up. Baako just couldn't resist cleaning him.
"Can't you look presentable when your brother's coming for a visit! I'd hoped my warrior queen would be able to see my handsome brother, not a dirt and daisy mound!"
Baako stopped scolding, but only because he needed his mouth and teeth to remove the mud. He had to work a little slower than normal, to make sure his new antlers didn't poke a tender spot.
"Warrior...Queen?", Frankie asked as he stilled at the familiar touch of his brother's grooming. "You...you've taken a mate, haven't you?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fay had come to stand with her mate and smiled to herself as he easily overtook the other. It was funny to see him be dominant for a change. What was strange was even though they were twins, they were opposites.

Baako chuckled, even as he deposited a chunk of dirt to the side. "I wouldn't say take. More like flaunted myself for all I was worth. Fayrhen was very hard to win over." He looked up to spot his mate standing to the side, and winked before going back to his task. Already he'd managed to clear away a sizable amount of the dirt, and was just picking at the smaller stuff.

"That sounds more like you", Frankie said easing into the grooming. He started to laugh as he pictured his brother in some funny costume dancing around like one of those colorful birds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fay rolled her eyes again as she came closer to the brothers. "My name is Fayrhen. I've heard a lot about you, Frankie", she said nervously. She was very unused to this kind of interaction between siblings and wasn't sure what to do with herself.
"Love of my life, light in my heart-," and so the list went on, several flowerly nicknames, until he finally ended with, "-but she prefers when I call her my Warrior Queen." While he was talking his paws weren't idle. One still pinned his brother, just in case, but the other was lightly scratching through his fur and removing clumps.
He eyed his brother, wondering if he let him up and told him to shake out the dust if Frankie would just dash off. He'd done it before.
