A long time ago, in the history of Gaia, one of its greatest rulers, Lord Phantom, was sent into exile by none other than his brother. Unwittingly issuing a call to any who might answer, it came to only one; The Lone Peacemaker, Arannis Desrani. Having just recently managed the undoing of his own brother's traitorous acts, Arannis hesitantly answers his calling...

(Go ahead and make the first post. I've got the setup done o.o)

A small flash of golden light, and a form appeared, entirely golden, colors waving in and out, until a frail Celestial figure had entirely given shape. He looked around for a moment, then spotted what could have been the source of his call. He held a hand up, and a faint white glow encompassed it.

"Surely enough..."

He walked over to the man, and knelt down next to him, concern in his eyes.

"Is there something I can do to help you?"

Arannis bit his lip, hardly able to remember the last time he needed any sustenance, but rose to his feet, and almost started towards the nearest town, but a look to the stranger convinced him that time might be more essential. He put an arm out to him, and a small box of fruit appeared in front of the man.

"Very well, then. Might I ask your name?"

(You really need to work on post length... I can't be the only one making hybrid posts here o.o)

Arannis sat down, slowly, curious worry coming across his face.

"Phantom...? I... I see. I suspect, by your attire, then, that this goes far beyond mere lack of sustenance? If I can help, I will..."

"Your brother, you say? Indeed..."

Arannis sighed, putting a hand to his forehead.

"Tell me, then, Phantom... why is it that you so desire your former kingdom back, even at the cost of your brother's life? What has been done since his ascension that makes him any worse?"

Arannis spread out his wings, those on his back about 5 feet long - each - and his wrist and ankle wings about 10 inches in length. They resembled a mass of elegantly placed and carved golden runes, impossible to decipher through any non-magical means.

"Barton's history has not been kind to any of us, it seems. Perhaps I should introduce myself. I am Arannis Desrani, supposed last survivor of the Celestial race. These days, though... I cannot exactly say it, as a friend of mine finds himself so caught between Divinity and Corruption. But I digress, a Celestial mercenary, such as myself, finds himself aware of many calls to aid, and is thus obligated to heed them. Yours was no different."

Arannis folded his wings back in, and accepted the offered aid.

"Dramatic?"

He chuckled.

"It's been said of me before, but this is my mannerism. Complaints mean nothing to me anymore, not after all that I've been forced through..."

"Well, I can't rightly say... I have traveled the worlds, Gaia notwithstanding..."

He cringed a moment, recalling Barton's prior two annihilations.

"But here, I have not seen once. I fear my navigation would fail in an instant."
