The Lost
Falling.. falling away from paradise. It was hard to do. It was hard to let go. But eventually, humanity finally slipped. They finally left behind their home, to be welcomed by a new world. The home they left behind was Rukan.
No one knows why they left. And no one knows where they went to. But inevitably; all know, that humans left behind paradise, finding anything to satiate their uncontrollable greed. But satiation is not what they found. In their departure, the world itself cried at the loss of its children, promising itself to never house anyone again. And so it cut itself off, leaving only the children who loved the world they lived in, to eternally live in paradise.
But even those children, the ones faithful to Rukan, could not control the future generations. Eventually, every human had to die. Even in paradise, there was no escape from death. And eventually, every human left the world behind, not knowing the true meaning of paradise.
But these children were loved. Rukan loved them, as they, and their future generations, had grown on him. He blessed them with powers that the traitors would not have; the power to control the elements at will, and hold almost infinite possibilities. The families that gained these powers were called ''Archons.'' They held power over all others, and they were blessed with long life.
Originally, all Archons would live for hundreds of years. But their corruption, and their loss of faith in Rukan led them to a lower existence, almost that on the terms of the Lost, the ones who left Rukan behind.
However, the Archons and the Lost, although their superiority and inferiority, and their religious differences, eventually all came to peace, only holding one thing from each other: companionship. The Archons could not bear child with a Lost one. They could not be an equal to a Lost one. They were always superior, and they were always on the lookout. If an Archon would to bear a child with a Lost one, their child would be cast away from society, and seen as vermin. The mixture of the two races was called, ''Rukan's cursed.'' For, Rukan believed that the Archons should not desecrate his gift. If a Cursed one was born, they would not only take their mother with them, but would be bound to a life of thirty five years. However, during this time; they were as the Archons were. They could bear powers, and were superior to the Lost.
But many Cursed ones did not make it to thirty five. As humanity had always looked for something to look down upon, they viewed the Cursed ones as disgusting, worthless beings.
And as they were already frail, alone, and afraid, many Cursed ones ended their own lives. In fact, so much so, that there is a planet ONLY used as a graveyard for them. Rukan.
As the memories faded, and history was lost, people began to forget that Rukan was their home. They forgot that Rukan was the only heaven filling this barren wasteland, of the galaxy of Androricta. And they also forgot why the named ''cursed'' was placed on the children.
It is because when a Lost bears a cursed one, their life will end, on the full moon after their childs death. Inevitably killing all remains of the family bearing a Cursed one, ridding the universe of them.
And eventually, when the world was filled with an uncontrollable hatred, and the Cursed began to die left and right, the Lost were slowly pushed into an inevitable extinction.
That is where this story begins. And that is where this story will end.
-------
As a cursed, child of a Lost and an Archon, Mira Yokubo had always been an outcast in her life. Now a young adult, at the age of eighteen, she finally decided to escape her old life, and hide from all others, her status of a Cursed one. She moved to the small mercenary planet Reiala, to join the Ishinana mercenaries. But even here, searching for acceptance was futile. All of the regular mercenaries, the ones who used arms, were all cruel, arrogant Lost. And all of the elite ones, were all Archon supremacists.
But, she'd gone through this her whole life. She'd pushed through the hardships all alone, and nothing would change that now. Especially now that she wasn't alone.
When she finally got her first job, she was assigned to a young Archon, of only seventeen, Shane Venson, and his best friend, a Lost one, Ko Toni.
Through the days, they worked small jobs, and worked their way up the ladder, until finally, they were assigned a vital job to humanity: Save the Lost from destruction. Protect the Cursed.
----
Authors notes: I start off with Mira, but that doesn't mean she's the main character, lol. You can guess who is. xD
I got Dyzzi's characters last name from her DnF account: Kotoni. I didn't know what else to put lol.
And Venson is shortened of my rl last name, Stevenson. I think Venson sounds better for a story. xD
Also, noone send me PMs or anything saying, ''I want to be a Lost!''
Or, ''I want to be a Cursed one!'' Or an Archon.
Your race depends on my choosing. This isn't the main fic, so it doesn't affect anyone if you happen to become a Lost, or an Archon, or a Cursed.
However, here are some extras on all three races:
Archons mainly use jutsu, named here, ''Kano.''
Lost use guns mostly, as their bodies are also weaker in physical strength than Archons. However, they are much quicker in speed. This was Rukan's way of mocking them, saying, ''all they're good for is running.''
And Cursed ones have the same abilities as the Archons, but many use guns to hide their nature. An Archon can tell the difference between an Archon kano and a Cursed kano.
I know this chapter was short. It's because it's an intro.

Heroic Villains
One day, the three were called into the office of the leader of the Ishinana chevaliers, the mercenary group they worked for. Her name was Yuko Ishinana, and long had the group been under her control. As an Archon herself, Shane had looked up to this woman since his arrival, as she cared greatly for all of her mercenaries, Archon or not. She treated them as her children, and unlike so many other employers, she kept them from harm, and cared about them, even in their deaths. So of course, it was hard to not idolize this woman. It was hard to not love her like a mother. So, why not do so?
-
As the three walked into the office, the woman put down a medical book she was reading, and looked up at them, a smirk on her face, ''Ah, here we are. Hello, my chevalier.'' She said, as they sat down. There was three glasses of wine on the table, and she smiled, gesturing for them to drink it. As they began to drink, she spoke, ''I'm sure you wonder why you are here, and why the couriers acted upon you so urgently. I will tell you. I will tell you what I told the others, that I have brought you here to protect the Lost, and I will also tell you what I did not tell anyone. That in order to do this, you must protect the Cursed ones.'' As she said this, Mira and Shane both had a strange look on their face, hard to tell from happiness and confusion. But she simply smiled at this, and continued on, ''You three have what is required to do this job. You are not bigots, you are not biased, and you do not dislike the Lost or the Cursed. And, in fact, all three of you have something that is essential in carrying this out: you all hate Rukan and the Archons who worship him.''
She whispered the last part, as indeed, there was followers of Rukan in her group. But surely, she continued on. ''Why is this essential, you ask? Because the root of the destruction of the Cursed is Lirilum. I will tell you now, you will have to kill many Archons, but it is for the good of the world that the Cursed survive.'' She said, leaning back on her chair. Shane sighed, and spoke quietly, ''And our reward?''
Yuko giggled, ''Tch. Always like you to ask for a reward first...'' She sighed, and got out of her chair, to where she stood up, and turned around, facing her window, which gave a clear view of Lirilum. ''If you succeed in doing this, I will grant you the small planet of Uzushiogakure. Agreed?'' She asked, turning her head to the three. All three of them became filled with excitement. ''Our own planet?!'' They all thought to them selves, quickly nodding to the woman. She smiled, and immediately began to speak, ''Then, make your way to the populous of the Moon village. I suspect that an anti-Cursed mercenary group, Tora, will attack there by the next sunrise. I have prepared you an initial reward, the ship Noistro, and the key to one of my relays.'' She smiled, and tossed the key to Shane. He caught it, and after briefly thanking her, ran off to his new ship.
And he was surprised already. Noistro was HUGE. It rivaled the size of a blue whale, and was painted in his favorite colors: White and Gold. However, it had one of the most peculiar designs he had ever seen. The ship, or as you could call it a space-ship, had a flat face, with an illusion of what could be seen as windows, which were actually titanium plates that transmitted images to the other side, the interior. The wings were alot like rectangles, pointing downwards, though they had a sharp, pointed tip on each side. But those parts were not odd. What was odd, was the giant glowing orb, in the center of the bottom of the ship, that had three metallic wings of its own, leading out to the back of the ship. It could be assumed, by its blue substance, that this orb was indeed, a relay. Relays were necessary for traveling between planets, and creating personal relays costed billions of dollars.
However, the three weren't thinking about how they were basically just given billions of dollars. They were thinking of the danger that could be expected, if given such an amazing INITIAL gift. But in walking through the ship, they realized they weren't alone. Not only was there dozens of people operating it, and doing miscellaneous activities, but there was two other people, who seemingly did nothing but observe the crew.
Arlan and Rose.
Arlan was a tall, attractive, black haired man, with the same gold eyes as Shane. Rose had long violet hair, and crystalline blue eyes, to hide her uncontrollable desire for death. Indeed, Rose was a dangerous, destructive sadist, whereas Arlan was calm, and did not like to resort to violence. Two opposites, that joined together to make perfection. For, when Arlan couldn't talk things out, this woman was always there to protect him, and destroy everything at ease. Not to say that Arlan did not have skills of his own, of course.
Rose quickly spoke, her vision facing Shane, who she knew was the team leader. ''Rose. Lost.'' She said, coldly. Shane raised an eyebrow, and silently spoke, ''You skip straight to business, huh?'' He asked, smirking, waiting for Arlan's introduction. However, he was interrupted by Rose, who always had something to say. ''I'm letting you know that the Lost CAN indeed murder the ******** out of everything possible. If you doubt me, then screw you, Archon.'' She said, with an angry look on her face. He didn't bother to ask how she knew he was an Archon. Perhaps Yuko told her. Or perhaps her partner was an Archon himself, and could easily tell. Regardless, it did not matter. Finally, Arlan introduced himself, as well.
''I am Arlan. I have been invited to join your crew by Ms. Ishinana, to lend a hand in things such as infiltration and tactical analysis. I do not like to fight, but if you require that of me, I will do so. I am an Archon.'' This man was certainly more pleasant to speak to. Shane smiled at him, and responded, ''Well, you two, as you probably already know, I am Shane Venson. I am not very high-ranked here, and honestly do not understand why I was chosen for such a task, but I believe that I can do this, especially with the help of you tw-'' He was cut off by Rose. Again.
''Shut up. Stop being so damn formal. We get it, we're here to kill the s**t out of those arrogant assholes, the Archons. You were chosen because you're an Archon, and, ''Miss Ishinana,'' is just another one of your repulsing league. I'm here for the money, not for an excuse on why you were chosen to lead this.'' She spoke, an angry tone filling her voice. She stood up, and walked down to the lower floors, which likely held the housing block. Shane raised an eyebrow, and Ko muttered, ''What's her problem?'' Arlan sighed, and stood up, going over to the three, to shake each of their hands. ''I am sorry. Rose has problems with Archons, because of how many of the Archons here treat her. But I do not believe they treat her like that because of her blood, but because of her bad attitude. I am sorry if she offended you, and I will try to find a way to make her apologize.'' He said, firmly shaking Shane's hand.
''No, that's alright. It's fine. I don't need an apology, for I know how she feels. And plus, I don't need her kindness. I need her strength in battle.'' He said, with a blank expression.
''Aha. I suppose that's a good outlook. Anyways, if you ever need my assistance, I am likely in the relay bay, or in my room, 202C.'' He said, with a smile, letting go of the mans hand.
Shane stared for a second, before finally questioning what he just heard, ''...Wait.. 202? ..C?'' If there was A, B, and C, and 200 of each, then...
Arlan shook his head, ''No, it isn't what you think. There is only block A and C. A is for analysis division, and C stands for combat division. Oddly, I am in the combat division, although I am the chief of analysis. I believe you three are also in the combat division, in 100C, 101C, and 102C. Respectively, all right next to eachother.'' He said, a bright smile covering his face.
Shane didn't even bother to comment on how many men he had. Alot was the only answer he would get, and regardless, he was happy. He felt like he was finally worth something, even though it was only for one mission. He knew he had to do perfectly in this mission, not just for him, but for all of the Cursed, and the Lost. So, he, Mira, and Ko, got into their beds, sleeping away as they waited excitedly for the morning.
-
Shane was not awoken by his own-self, but by Arlan. ''Morning, captain. I am sorry that it took so long to arrive, but we had to unlock the relay. It is a strenuous task that takes hours. However, once active, it took us here quite easily. We are now in Moon village, docked near the capital. The locals do not know why we are here, and are, of course, wary, so I have decided it is best if you speak to them, and call for evacuation.'' He said, holding a pair of clothes, obviously for Shane to wear. Blue and gold clothes, with black pants. The design was quite simple, but he could tell it was quite expensive material. After putting the clothes on, he and Arlan quickly left the ship, with Mira at their side, to help ease the locals.
After long hours of speaking to the locals, trying to put them at ease, the three finally began to ready themselves for battle. Many were evacuated by now, the rest of them being the guards. It was their job to protect Moon village, so without second thoughts, they all decided to assist the group.
-
Back at the ship, while in preparation, Arlan spoke to himself, ''These people are so trusting...'' He muttered, a frown filling his face. But of course, Shane could hear, as they were almost directly next to each-other, while gathering their combat equipment. He did not know why he would frown, or even say such a thing in the first place, so, he quietly spoke, as well.
''Why does it seem like that's a bad thing?'' He asked, turning his head to Arlan. The other man sighed, and only spoke, ''It's never a good thing to trust a mercenary lord. This is no different.'' He was quickly startled when a hand grabbed onto his shoulder, and he was turned directly to look at the other man.
Shane did not speak for a few seconds, before finally asking, ''Are we really doing this to protect the Cursed, and the Lost? Or is this for Yuko to gain prestige?'' The question was simple, but the answer was not. Not even Arlan knew the answer. All he knew is that this was for her own gain, not the gain of the Cursed. So that is all he told Shane, before they both stood at their posts: stationed inside of a far-off abandoned house, where they would direct the others. However, Shane did not believe in staying in a safe little house while the others fought and died, so he stood at the front lines, awaiting the enemies.
He did this, while Rose did what she was told to do. She placed the ''salvation'' device near the other side of the moon, awaiting the enemies assault.
And finally, Tora came, but not to destroy the Cursed,
but to save them.
But Shane would never find this out, as, as quickly as they came, the group was obliterated by the Ishinana forces.
Upon leaving the moon, no one could understand why it lit up, leading the Cursed to destruction.
_______________
Authors notes:
Not very action-filled, huh? Tora wasn't a very big group. I promise, the next chapter will have alot of action.
Also, Arland will generally be taking Aedan's place as right-hand-man in this. Although he doesn't fight much, you'll see him in action next chapter.
Also, this marks a 1/2 mark for episode one. Each episode will have 4 or 5 chapters.

Selfish
Upon the return to Reiala, and confrontation about Moon village, Yuko's brilliant lies washed away all of their doubts, once again.
All but his.
In fact, he knew many times.. when he was being used, and abused, and when he was simply an instrument of destruction. But he so blindly followed... because, in the end...
Selflessness is an illusion. Even the greatest heroes strived to preserve themselves, the consequence of one another mattering little. In fact, inside of the hearts of so many great heroes was their true self: a tyrant.
This had never been an illusion to him. He had always known of the dark nature of humanity, and had always followed by the principal of surviving, no matter what the cost.
But... as of late, in meeting his friends, he began to question this. If every human was a dark, cold devil; then why has humanity survived? Do good figures arrive for prestige? Has an opportunity for destruction never arose? He couldn't answer these questions. And truly; no one ever could. The impossible question of the meaning of life, was nothing in comparison, of the truth of life.
But there was once a time, when humanity had been forced into destruction. There was a time when anger and hate were the only emotion one could bear...
In the old world, when the Lost first escaped the grasp of their master, they were indeed put through torture and punishment, to the verge of mentally breaking all who lived. But none was as bad as the torture unleashed upon the world in the dawn of Archon colonization, in 1941. Four thousand years had passed since then, and inevitably, history was lost, but one memory did remain.
The emotions lead by humans are not their own; but of their creator. Rukan controlled all emotions, and thus, controlled society. Whenever he decided it, he could unleash a darkness on the land, or even an unfathomable light. But one darkness had blackened over all of the rest, the darkness of the Jubi.
Ten tails to signify the ten dark truths of humanity, and yet, none to signify the light. Nothing to prove to humans that they weren't the devil themselves. So groups arised. Rukanists believing in aiding their own destruction, by killing all others. This was their illusion of justice; and they believed, that by doing so, they would be sent to a place where only light emerged, and the only darkness was from one-self.
Indeed, they did wish to return to Rukan.
But it was too late. The Jubi, controlling morale, willpower, and everything in between, ravaged through the nations, destroying everything in his path.
But as there is always groups that support tyranny, there is also always groups who oppose it.
Rikudo Sennin, a Cursed one bore from Archon Shiranui, and Lost one Dono, led one such group.
It was called the six paths, and it consisted of six Cursed ones.
At the time, many believed that this was simply one person, controlling all six. But in time, it was realized that it was six people. Six people who defeated the Jubi, and gained honor, and equality, even as Cursed ones. Rukan believed these six deserved something that so many others had taken for granted; Archon blood.
So as the six were laid to rest, their ancestors flourished, populating the planet of the Jubi's emergence, Lirilum.
But only three of the family lines had survived.
Venson, Yokubo, and Descot.
But they were never equals. They were never seen as Archons, for their family was, in the beginning, Cursed.
And eventually, as the memories faded away, it didn't even matter what they were. To vent hate, and anger, people had always needed a target. So eventually, their ancestors' will dwindled, and the three were left behind to a barren world, to be treated as scum.
But this was all in the past, now. Finally, the Yokubo line had also lost its Archon blood, and the only Descot and Venson remained.
Back at the outpost, after another long day, Shane finally decided to go to bed. He knew tomorrow was important, but he did not know why. Yuko was never very direct in assigning missions, as she always wanted to give a ''surprise.''
But, he could not sleep. Not with all that had happened this day. Millions dying... and for what reason? What had happened in Moon when they left? These questions persisted, all the way until early morning, the next day.
''...'' He breathed in deeply, and sighed, as he looked at the numbers on the clock, 6:32.
''Have I really not slept all this time? ...Whatever. I guess I have to go to talk to Yuko, for my mission..'' He muttered, while slipping on some casual clothes. However, he didn't even make it to his door before noticing that: he wasn't alone. He didn't bother to make a production out of it, so he simply said, ''Come out,'' to be welcomed by Arlan, his new team member.
Of course, he didn't bother to speak about this, either. Sure, it was creepy that Arlan was watching him, but he really didn't give a crap. So, he opened the door, and was quickly followed out by Arlan. The man smiled, and awkwardly spoke, ''I am sorry for monitoring you, but due to hearing strange noises coming from your room around four hours ago, I thought you may have been having odd... nightmares. It is my job to assist the crew in such things.'' He said, with a straightforward tone.
''..Strange.. Noises? ..Huh? O-'' Shane quickly began to blush, and quickly said, ''Oh, yeah! Err, well, thank you! I was having such a scary nightmare, and you must have really done something, cause.... bye!'' He said, running off, Arlan chuckling, and rolling his eyes. Looks like this one really did need to be monitored.
-
Upon arriving at Yuko's office, Shane awaited patiently, as it seemed she was inside, with another mercenary. And, she was. A few minutes later, Rose had emerged from the room, carrying a smirk on her face, paying no mind to Shane. He looked back at her as she walked away, and although he felt strange, he didn't bother to act upon it. So, he went into the office, to where he could speak to the woman.
''Hello, Shane-san. Although everyone in Moon village died last mission, it was not your fault. You did a good job, and so I will now promote you to Warden. Besides that, I believe I already paid you quite magnificently with Noistro, yes?'' She asked, smiling at him. He cracked a fake smile, and promptly nodded, awaiting her orders.
''This time, you are to spy on Sendoir, Lirilum. As you probably know, it is the smallest terrace in Lirilum. However, it contains valuable information in the salvation of the Cursed. What you must do is find the Night-Club titled, 'Ragnarok,' in the center of the terrace. Ask around for a man named Arden, and ask him if the flowers are blooming.'' She said, smiling at the young boy, who had a confused look on his face.
''The flowers are blooming..? What, is this some kind of weird code-speak? Bullshit, she can't even trust me w-... That's right... no one can trust anyone.'' He nodded, before rallying Mira, Rose, Arlan, and Ko, and leaving for Sendoir, Lirilum.
-
Finally, the crew arrived to a friendly welcome, as an odd group of several half-naked Lost ones led them into the club. Sendoir had no plant-life, no animals, and no sea-creatures, yes, but it was perhaps the most technologically advanced city in the cluster. As they walked by, they saw all sorts of things, ranging from laser-dancing, an extremely dangerous dance in which they move without triggering lasers, to nuclear explosion shows. Yes, in this world, such contained so little consequence that Nuclear bombs were used as an entertainment device. Humanity had evolved from Nuclear warfare long ago.
But it wasn't all of this that truly brought amazement. It was the aquarium in the center of the city, called '8'. And it wasn't the aquarium itself that entertained, but the monstrous eight tailed monster swimming within, looking upon all as prey. In the past, Sendoir had problems with finding suitable hosts, so in desperation, they sealed their demon in an unbreakable cage, where he would be unleashed, in times of war. Luckily, this had never happened. But in the city, every day was a war. From ambitious pickpockets, to murderers, to the fact that human trafficking was more common than driving traffic, in this city. And when the law is corrupted itself, who can stand against this?
But that did not matter to he, nor his crew. What mattered was getting the information, even though they would never understand it themselves.
And finally, they arrived, being escorted into the back of the club, to meet who seemed to be the leader, Arden.
Who was a child. Barely passing for eleven years old, the young boy was indeed, everything they would have expected.
In a fourth grader. Short, immature, and spoiled, they could already tell this mission would be muuuch longer than they anticipated. The boy didn't even ask introductions, he simply shouted, ''GO AWAY!'' And as he said so, the crew was literally kicked out.
But of course, they persisted, and after nearly an hour of hearing him whine and b***h, he finally let them in. And at their first sentence, of asking if the flowers had bloomed, he gave them a map.
Before kicking them out. Again.
They presumed it was a map leading to a better information source. But they were wrong. Very, very wrong. It lead to an elevator. One that would constantly shake, and be surrounded in deafening loud noises. Why would an elevator do this, they wondered? Where was it leading to?
And of course, not all things were as simple as they wished for. Instead of leading them to a source, he attempted to lead them to their death. They entered the center of the nuclear presentation, through an elevator they usually sent targets up through. Luckily, by now, all suits had extremely powerful anti-radiation gear.
But that wasn't the problem. The problem was, was that the elevator only lead upwards, and a nuclear bomb was already heading their way.
No one knew what to do. So they didn't do anything. They looked upon the large, accelerating figure, as it descended onto them, where it would obliterate them whole.
But Arlan was a trained, experienced mercenary. All of this was a trivial task, done by him once before. In all missions there was always a twist, and in all twists danger. He grabbed Shane's palm, and pressed down on his vein, making him force out a powerful gust of wind. Quickly after, he himself began to use his Kano. The air began to freeze, and slowly, the bomb began to freeze, as well. But it was hopeless. Upon impact, it would still explode, killing all of them. But no one wanted it to happen.
And, in an act that had been repeated so many times before, to preserve the life of one self, Shane pushed away the bomb, pushing it as far away from himself as possible.
Into the audience, who were only protected by a thick glass....
...................
Inevitably, it exploded, and not only was the entire audience killed, but the explosion expanded, destroying the bridge connecting Sendoir city, and Sendoir country.
A bridge connecting one another, only made through years of starvation and labor.
And with the bridge, all who traveled it.
Indeed, the crew now had the blood of millions on their hands, the only thing breaking the silence, the childish voice of Arden, sending his voice to them through transmission. He first laughed, but began shouting, ''Hehe, that was funny! And to answer your original question, yes. Now ******** off.'' He said, giggling at his last comment, before ending the transmission, leaving them to their fate. As guards began to surround them by the masses, all hope withered away from them.
And no one came to save them. Or assist them. Shane, who had an unbearable amount of thoughts rushing through his mind at the time, passed out, only to awake in Sendoir prison, sharing what could be his last days in the same cell as Arlan.
_____________________________
By the way, the bomb was only about 2 Megatons, but seeing as how there's like 5 million people per square mile in Sendoir, they killed alot. xD
And yes, as you can tell by now, Shane specializes in levitation, though he can use wind combatively.

Episode I finale: The Show Must Go On Prison. In jail; awaiting execution. Awaiting a quick death, from the hands of who they were trying to defeat. The Lirilum government. All for something they could not stop, all for something they could not control... But when they told the officers of the treachery, they simply ignored them, dragging them along the dirt and debris of the destroyed city. Once finally in prison, and noticing the complexity and impossibility of escape, all they could do was await their deaths.
In one cell, on block M, for Males, were Shane, and Arlan. And on the other, on block F for Females, were Mira and Ko. The reason they so happened to share the same cell, was because the most wanted prisoners were always paired with eachother. And the most wanted people in Lirilum right now happened to be the four.
But this was perfect. As Shane awoke, he began to feel a searing pain, and his veins began to pump quicker, and harder, giving him a large adrenaline rush. Then, in his hand, appeared a small circular little device. On the top, it read, ''salvation.'' He didn't know what it did, but, Arlan knew exactly what it was. Upon setting his eyes on it, he took it from Shane's possession, and placed it in a small crack in the wall. He knew what he was doing. But this was obviously an order from Yuko, and even though Arlan knew he could possibly die soon, he would follow her until the end.
Indeed, this was all part of the plan. The most perfect, most impossible place to conceal the device, was in the cell only touched every few hundred years, meaning no one would find it. Not only this, but the prison lied in the center of Sendoir, at the edge of the city, near Sendoir country. But of course, Yuko wouldn't allow her tools to remain in a cold cell any longer. As quickly as they came, they heard a large explosion, as the cell began to shake. It sounded alot like... a Traifex. (1)
But no sirens were sounded. No army began to rush through the prison, trying to escape. For it wouldn't work. The officers may as well have laid down and died, for many of them were Lost, and had no use after their weapons stopped functioning. And although they tried to survive, in the end, they all did die. As the Traifex grew closer, the guards began to die more, and more. But it was silent. To prevent rallies and rebellions, the prison doors were all sound-proof, and only the initial loud explosion of the fission reactor would be heard. Even as the guards screamed and cried as they fell, no one could hear them. And in the end, no one could protect them. Finally, all lie dead, as Rose marched down the prison halls, to where she made her way to Shane, Arlan, Mira, and Ko, freeing them from hostage. (2) They quickly escaped in the Traifex, the Noistro following.
And finally, as they returned to Reiala, without a word being said to one another, they returned to Yuko's office, awaiting her judgment.
''Ah, hello, you all. Good job on receiving the information I requested. My apologies for what happened, I had no idea Arden would pull such a stunt. Anyways-- as your payment, I am awarding you three elite weaponry--only used by the Generals of the Old Army.'' As she said this, she grabbed out three odd looking gems, and a smile began to creep up her face.
''Facades, the great invention of the 58th century. These will allow you to transform into another being, effectively allowing you to transform into that of another person, effectively allowing for you to make up for your weakness'.'' She said, and held out the first gem. It was Mira's. ''Mira, you are agile, and skilled with fire. But what of firearms? This facade is that of a master of artillery, and every bullet can freeze an army.'' She handed her the gem, and pulled out another. It was Ko's. ''Ko, you are strong, quick, and quite skilled with your rifle. But as a Lost, I am afraid you have nothing over magic. Your facade has powers over Lightning, and I hope that you use it well,'' She said, as she handed Ko her gem. And finally, she pulled out Shane's gem, and spoke, ''You use a gun. You use your Archon's magic. But what of taijutsu? This facade is of someone who is not very good with a gun. Or a blade. Or magic. But someone who is stronger than any person I have ever seen. Use it well, Commander.'' She said, and handed it to him.
They all planted the gems inside of their armor, and Yuko smiled at them, ''Oh, and I'm sure you have questions regarding what happened in Lirilum. I have one answer to that--don't. That little brat has already been assassinated by a friend of mine. He won't trouble you any longer. Oh, and that bounty of yours? Don't worry about it. The Lirilum government loves money. And the bounty was nothing in comparison of what I provided. So you're fine, my friends.'' She said, leaning back on her chair.
But quickly, Shane responded, an angry look on his face, ''So, you don't care that we killed millions of people?! So many people died just to find out if some ******** flowers were in the right season?! What the hell, Yuko!'' He yelled, and stood up, glaring down at her. She sighed, and told him, ''Saving the Cursed requires sacrifices. I am sorry for their losses, but there was nothing we could do. It was that boys fault. He has what he deserved. Death. So please, just try to forget what happened, 'kay?'' She asked, again putting on a fake smile. But a convincing one. They were still upset by all of this, but they all just walked away. It was all they could do. But upon walking outside, they saw something.. amazing. A giant, silver being, alot like that of a jellyfish, was flying in the sky above Reiala.
And it was descending, it seemed. As it got nearer, and nearer, people began to shoot at it, and missiles began to fly in its direction. But all for naught. Even the magic of the Archons did nothing. All it did was anger it. Quickly, one leg landed on the planet, and the other five began to knock buildings, destroying them, and destroying everyone in them. But what was worst, was what was in the center of the Jellyfish. Element I, rectori. He began to drop Rechtor bombs, and the mercenaries began to get picked off, in large numbers. But Yuko did nothing. And neither did Rose. Yuko was calmly on the phone, and Rose just watched, as it had all unveiled. But finally, Yuko hung up, with a smirk on her face.
And the woman stepped outside, and held up both arms, pointing at the colossal being. And quickly, it was surrounded by a bubble. Even though it was possibly larger than Reiala itself, she managed to conceal it in the bubble with ease. And then she dropped her arms, and the bubble popped. The giant being, who had before seemed invincible, shattered into thousands of pieces, all landing somewhere in Reiala, killing and destroying everything they touched. Yuko frowned, but all she said was, ''I am sorry children,'' before entering her office again. And getting. On. The phone.
Millions of people dead. Thousands of their homes destroyed. They were her children, but it didn't seem to be so anymore. It didn't seem that she even cared about them. But what was even more amazing was her power..
And what was that thing, anyways? Had it ever been seen before? And why was it using Element I? Wasn't that something only the Lirilum government contained? And why was it, that in all this chaos, no one seemed to notice that, off in Lirilum, Sendor exploded? And why was it that Yuko, who had full view of Sendor, didn't even look whatsoever in shock? Why was it that... Shane just noticed what had been going on..? That the flowers were bombs. That the Cursed didn't even matter.. Moon Village, and Sendor both... they were forced into destruction, right after they were visited.
And why was it that neither of the three cared?

AN: 1: A Traifex is a super advanced model of a helicopter, used primarily by mercenary groups. This is because mercenary groups have almost entirely replaced the military. A Traifex is equipped with a plasma gatling gun, three 1 Megaton nuclear bombs, and a fission reactor. The fission reactor drops down, connects to all electronic equipment, and shuts them down, before exploding. These can easily shut down millions of weapons, terminals, and others, making them very expensive and rarely used. However, the first weapon that was used, was indeed, a fission reactor. This is ideal for a prison break-in, as all it would leave the prison guards with were their fists. Also, I didn't mention this last chapter, but the substitution for Nuclear bombs is called a 'Disconnection Pulse,' which disconnects the brain from giving the body commands, instantly killing everyone, without giving radiation. It is an electronic pulse generally spread through hundreds of miles. However, as these are new, alot like Nuclear bombs today, they are only owned by select Nations, and are extremely expensive to make. 2: Only the four team members went to meet Arden. The rest stayed in the ship, which was NOT indicated. 3: Short chapter, I know. If you can see why I showed Rechtor, then you're awesome. If you don't understand what Rechtor is, then explanation in white. 'Cause it's a spoiler.
Rechtor is Element I. There are seven elements. They're like bosses.
