Personality: He believes in the good of the village and will give his life for it without a second thought, but also expects dedication from the other shinobi. He tends to keep a rather short leash on the shinobi in the village, not tolerating very many nuisances to occur under his order. Now don't get it wrong he's not a horrible person who has no character, he would just rather keep his strict and loyal composure in front of his fellow shinobi to keep up appearances, but around his close friends he is probably one of the most outgoing people you could be around.

Biography: Shinji didn't have much of a childhood, unlike most of his other comrades of the same age. Being brought up in a strict household, Shinji maintained the rules of Konohagakure in the highest caliber. School, training, studies, food, and sleep was his daily routine for 9 years straight, up until the day he graduated from the academy. Yes, he graduated several years earlier than most other shinobi do, due to the rigorous training and hard work he was forced into in his childhood. His family did not concern themselves with the usual love and caring that most other families showed their children. Both his mother and father were decorated shinobi, his father once being in the candidacy for Hokage. Unfortunately he did not win, but he vowed that his son would win the title no matter what.
Once he had graduated, Shinji was quickly put into high ranking missions. His first mission consisted of him taking on a Jounin rank enemy from another village. The battle was tough but Shinji managed to kill the man in the end. This quickly promoted him to Chuunin at the age of 10 which gathered him much needed attention if he was going to become the Hokage. After one and a half more years of constant missions and training Shinji was finally promoted to Jounin rank at the age of 12. Although being one of the most promising shinobi in all of Konohakagure's history, he distanced himself from making many comrades in his life, in fear that his family might lash out at him for weaknesses and the such.
It wasn't until he was the age of 17 that his true prowess took a leap. A deep fog rolled over Konohakagure one evening, enveloping the entire village in seconds. Being away on a mission at the time, Shinji arrived several hours after shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Mist attack Konohakagure only to find part of it engrossed in a dark blaze. Enraged at the scene he came home to, Shinji immediately headed towards the top of the village, knowing this is where the head of the attack was going to be. Quickly dispensing of several shinobi in his path Shinji appeared in front of the commanding general. A fierce battle ensued, leaving Shinji with dozens of injuries but ultimately killing the general in the end with his jutsu. His combination of fire and wind jutsu in this fight earned him the nickname Tempest. The remaining Mist shinobi quickly lost all morale and retreated back to their village, not to return again until Shinji himself became Hokage. This act of heroism and bravery is what helped push him to the spot of Hokage 18 years later.
