So, I was browsing some of the more recent threads that had went inactive. In the interest of trying to get people talking, because the last post was made several days ago, I decided to start this thread. It is sort of inspired by a thread NoSon had started a little while back.
In that thread people talked a little bit about things they hope to find in a "perfect mate", what they seek in a relationship. I decided to make a thread dedicated just to discussion of that matter.
What things do you most look for in a perfect mate? Which of those qualities are flexible, which one's are not? Why? What type of relationship do you usually go for? Is that a firm goal, or is it pliable? Any other info I didn't have a specific question about? Definitely add it.
Everyone play nicely!

Well thanks RB, for actually trying to keep this place going. I had run out of ideas.
So, I guess I'll get the ball rolling. Keep in mind I've been in a steady relationship for over a year, so most of these are already filled.
Personality: I prefer a partner who's not afraid to speak their mind, more outgoing. Someone who isn't afraid to stand up for themselves. They need to be creative, no matter the outlet, and supportive of what I and my friends do. Also, I prefer that they're not overly jealous, and trust me when I'm hanging out with other people to not cheat on them.
Physical: In a girl, I prefer a girl who doesn't look like a stick. Someone I can hold without fear of breaking. They don't need to be unnatrually, media pretty, but I do personally have limits (not afraid to admit it) In a guy... I don't really know. It's been a while. The last few were kinda girly, I guess. But still emotionally strong.
So, this is what makes my gears grind, as it were. Anyone else not afraid to speak their mind?

I see quoting the Bloodhound gang isn't allowed in this guild. Good to know.
Anyways, to be a bit more serious.
Things I need in a female companion: Good looks. Intelligence. Self sufficiency. As in, that they can spend time by themselves and are fine with me not being with them all the time. A general 'dark' sense in style. Not too much jealous. I have a lot of friends, and I talk to a lot of people, and yes, some of them are women. And no, nothing is happening between them and I. A good sense of humor, and not someone touchy about silly things such as the use of a wrong word. Skinny, but healthy. Similar music taste. Or at least someone who wouldn't mind listening to what I like, and them liking something that doesn't make me contemplate shooting myself if I have to listen to it for more than one or two songs. A laser cannon for an arm.
Things I could bend on, but I'd really like them to have: Eastern European descent. (ex. Russian, Ukrainian, Estonian, latvian, etc) An artist. I noticed I tend to fall for artists, so I decided to start looking for that as a quality. Quiet, or the complete opposite. Anything in between is just strange. Attractive to honey bees.

@ Crinos You're welcome. I figured it was worth a try to get some conversation going. I hope others are willing to speak their mind.
@ Digital Malevolence Who said you can't quote BHG?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Ok...so I figure I should answer my own query.
As I believe I have made mention of before in this guild, I am not big on relationships. I really have no desire to be in one. I am basically looking for anything from a one night stand up to "friends with benefits", and anything in between, so basically anything short of a real relationship. I am even open to non-committal dating. I would MAYBE consider trying a relationship again if someone really special came along (my parameters for this are longer, and much more strict than what I am going to list below). BUT I don't believe that person exists. So, for this the main things I look for are very simple. The woman has to be attractive and in good shape, fit, maybe even LIGHTLY muscled. I prefer a hourglass figure, but that is not important. Good taste in music is pretty important, especially if it is someone I would be spending time hanging out with, likewise a taste in films and tv similar to mine is important. Also, some level of intellect and a personality. Also, I really appreciate a talented woman, especially if that talent involves music or dancing.
I think that is all for me. Anyone else?

I like being in a relationship, but I've become rather jaded. These days most people only have an interest in me because I dance around on stage in minimal clothing. I tend to only go for long-term relationships. Short term usually doesn't happen unless something takes a very sudden turn while I'm in one. Only one of my relationships has ever lasted less than six months, vast majority last ten months or more. Longest being three years. Sometimes I'll date casually, though its more of a "I'll go out and get coffee with you on the off chance I might actually like you" than anything else. Definitely no actual commitment there.
What I'm looking for: -Someone who isn't going to immediately freak out and try to make me stop dancing once we get together. Its happened numerous times, even when I'm just casually dating someone. Its like they think its cool that I'm into them and then get uncomfortable once they realize that there are other people looking at me, too. -Someone who can also dance. Not necessarily a performer, but someone who isn't embarrassed to get on the dancefloor at a club. To be honest, though, I have a weakness for bboys. -Someone with a positive and outgoing personality. Its the only thing that can pull me out of the negative cycles I get myself into from time to time. -Someone who can deal with my musical interests. Not necessarily enjoy them, but tolerate them from time to time. I'm not looking for someone to go to concerts with, I just don't like having to censor my itunes selection or wear headphones in my own home. If they can't deal with kpop on occasion, they can get the ******** out. -In the same vein, they need to be able to deal with the decor at my house. Posters of Korean boy bands, androgynous Japanese men and power rangers along with large displays of figurines from various oldschool cartoons/videogames/TV shows (Pirates of Dark Water, Power Rangers, Final Fantasy......) -A person who understand that my future comes first. If I get a job opportunity in another country, I am taking it without a second thought. They are welcome to come with me, but I don't do long distance and I will not stay just for them. -They need to be comfortable with dealing with my masculine side during the day. I only look like a girl when I'm working. In other words, guys need to be able to deal with people on the street thinking they're gay. Girls, I'm not worried so much about with this one. -I won't stop wearing platforms just so they can be taller than me. Just suck it up, you aren't any less of a man just because I'm taller than you. Again, not really worried about girls with this one. -They need to realize that H.O.T will always be more important than they are. Again, deal with it. -Someone who doesn't nag me about my eating/cleaning/exercise habits. -Someone who isn't allergic to cats. -Someone older than me. I've had too many bad experiences with younger men. Best two relationships were with a person 3 years older than me and a person 13 years older than me. -They need to understand that they will never be prettier than Jaewon. Unless, of course, they're a curvy girl with a pretty mouth. (mostly a joke, but I've had a crush on that guy since I was 13 and it shows no sign of going away)
Yeah, I'm a picky b***h, I know. =)
And there is more. A lot more. But these are some of the more interesting/entertaining requirements or pseudo-requirements that I have. For the most part everything is flexible, but too many strikes on the list and a person has no chance.

That is ridiculous...dancing seems to be part of your identity, who you are. I think it's part of what makes you fascinating. That's like when I was wrestling, and I would date a girl who thought it was awesome i wrestled, but then she'd want me to stop wrestling...very puzzling (granted I don't wrestle anymore now, but it was of my own choosing, and I may go back eventually). Haha Power Rangers? I still have my whole set of the original Zords including the Dragon and the one that looks like a Plesiosaur. I also have the whole Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad set.. and they would all be on display when I actually have my own place again, and have the space to have a shelf for them , as well as a bunch of robots my dad has brought back from his many trips to Japan. I theoretically would also like a whole room to devote to my G.I. Joes...but one can't have everything..lol

Its happened way too many times. Its really frustrating to say the least. = It [it]is part of who I am. I've been dancing for mroe than 10 years, except for a hiatus due to a knee injury and barring another injury isn't something I plan to stop any time soon. Its a huge peeve of mine that people try so hard to change something integral to their s/o's life, particularly when they haven't known each other for a long time. Encouraging me or someone else to stop smoking? Okay. I can deal with that as long as it doesn't get into the realm of nagging or bitching about it every day. If you're going to be uncomfortable with an aspect of your partner's life, either don't date them or get over it. Don't try to make a dancer stop dancing. Don't try to make a model stop modeling. Don't try to make a wrestler stop wrestling. Don't try to make a scientist stop...sciencing? They are doing what they enjoy and it makes them who they are. Once they change they aren't the same person unless they do it of their own free will. CaptainRedBeard Haha Power Rangers? And I'm jealous of your first gen zords. I have a bit from the MMPR (Zyuuranger), like some gashipon of the zords, but most of my collection is from Magiranger which was bastardized into Mystic Force a few years back. I have a bit of a fixation on the actor who plays the green ranger in that season so seriously all but one or two pieces are the Magigreen. I also forgot to mention my massive collection of Battle Royale/BR2 memorabilia....Posters, photobooks, card games, official movie props. Even the handbag I carry is official Battle Royale merch. You name it I probably have it. But then again, like the guy who runs battleroyalefilm.net, if they made a BR tampon caddy I would probably buy it. The only two major things I know I'm missing are the prop gun from BR2 and the official BR2 toilet paper. lol, materialistic person much?

And to me it makes no sense to try and get someone to stop doing something they love, especially if it is one of the things that attracted you to them in the first place. T2G CaptainRedBeard Haha Power Rangers? I still have my whole set of the original Zords including the Dragon and the one that looks like a Plesiosaur. I have never had anyone say they were envious of my first gen zords, especially not an attractive female. lol I have a couple of the first gen action figures of the Rangers themselves too, I THINK I have the green ranger and the Red Ranger. I also have the White Ranger from the second gen. My sister has the whole collection of the second gen zords. We were both big fans of MMPR. I don't think i have ever actually seen Battle Royale....although I have fought in a few battle royales in wrestling lol. Nothing wrong with being materialistic... lol I barely even mentioned a fraction of what i have in my collection of stuff. I have everything from Gundams (both the Japanese and American ones), to an assload of wrestling figures/accessories/playsets (all different types..sadly i kinda stopped collecting around the time I was getting into collecting Mexican and Japanese wrestlers), to Mighty Max, to Transformers (all the ones i own are Armada, Beast Wars and older, I am not into the new stuff) to the aforementioned GI Joes.
