___________________Time ღ SettingSeventeen century clans feud for the better part of fifteen years; families torn apart, murdered or took as recruits or slavery. Which made it idle for a voracious eater Youma; to come out of hiding and feast off humans while the battle raged on. No one would even notice a demon killing and eating humans with so much war and death already going on.
The Scottish Clan McLeon figuring out what was amidst sought out help in destroying the creature. Neighboring kingdoms laughed at the claims; slamming their doors one after the other in the messenger's face. Merely assuming deception and lies brought upon such a false story to get closer; causing them to lower their defenses and strike a blow from the inside. Clever plan and thought; yet one that was far from the truth. The Scottish clan lost contact with it's messenger for little over a month now; assuming the worse. McLeon sends out a small war party in search of him.. ___________________Town ღ PlacesGlasbleer Castle Glasbleers Tavern & Inn Merchandise Stands & Trades Catholic Church Neighboring Clans ღ Kingdoms (How Many?) McLeon..The name of my clan. I am one of four children of my father's; two have passed on during battle and the other I have yet to uncover their where bout's. My father being the bairn of are lands and clan leader. My brother's and I were expected to fill in his shoes if he became ill or died during battle. Yet sadly he lost two of his own sons to the war instead; the last heir to his throne my second eldest brother Gregory was sent off as a messenger for the neighboring kingdoms. It should have been I; yet being looked down on as his baby sister I was left behind to look after father. Great idea brother; now I shall have to find you regardless..
Fanning the country side with my band of so few; we push on in search of Gregory. All the while my heart screams out in hope that the Youma hadn't found my dear brother. He may in fact be strong; yet as far as we knew this 'thing' was enormous and as strong as forty men. I kicked my heels and edged my horse faster as dread took it's hold on my burden heart.

A slight flash of light, a golden pillar coming into view in the distance, and Arannis appeared, suddenly collapsing from the travel to the world from a trans-dimensional distance. He slowly put a hand down next to him, igniting a beacon that nearly any being in possession of any unnatural talent could see quite easily.
"Humanity... never did me well in the past... and yet I fight on, for their sake... how fitting..."

Shaynie rode hard and fast with her men trailing a few feet behind her. Her armor fit nice and tight; the weight of it seemed meaningless as the worry engulfed her every thought. Coming around the bend into one of the neighboring kingdoms, a flash of light over the horizon shot through the trees from above and seems as if it descended. Racing up the hill to investigate; the sounds of hooves thudding, armor clanging here and there and horses neighing. Shay's hair whipping behind her in unison to her horse; set before her was a magnificent sight to behold. The rays of light seemed to come off of the male figure in the distance yet with all that's happened as of late. I wouldn't put this behind one of the more bizarre things going on around Glasbleer.
Coming to a halt near by the figure; Shay held up her hand to her men and she alone got off her saddle. As she came around her horse; patting it for the many miles it had taken her, she faced the man before her with a heavy sigh. "You there; have you by chance seen a clan member of mine? My brother Gregory McLeon. It is of the extreme importance that you tell me all of which you know." Knowing it wouldn't do any good to ask such a stranger as he; being that he wouldn't careless or know about the feud and war going on. Yet Shay won't rest until she's asked everyone in search of any hidden clues anyone might have missed. By the gods; I hope he can help us...

Arannis slowly picked himself up to all fours, still panting from the wearisome travel.
"I... I know nothing... of even where I have come to. I heed a calling, and I arrive, unknowing. Where, then... am I?"
He pulled himself up to a sitting position, resting on his heels.
"And how might I be of assistance?"

Shay's teal blue eyes observed the stranger; his attire and clothing rather odd, yet the air and presence of this man seemed unnerving. Whatever this feeling was she got from him; it wasn't something she was used to. Clearing her throat Shay lifted an eye brow towards him curiously, yet you couldn't mistake the disappointment that quickly vanished in her eyes upon his reply. "Soo.. Do you mean to tell me you haven't the slightly clue to where you are?" knowing he would reply yes once more making her seem like the fool for asking what was already given..
Baffled for a moment in thought; Shay tapped her right foot with a thud to the earth and gazed at the cloud of dust that casually swooshed outward each time she did so. Shay stood like that for a few more minutes as she pondered on the statement he had given her and wondered if he was serious or not. Hmmm.. that only leave me with one option..
Quickly glancing back up directly into his blue eyes; Shay's hair brushed away from her face and showed her facial scars from battles long past briefly. "If that is the case; it would be best if we take you to the nearest village so you can rest and gather you're wits about you." The man seemed delirious which most often was caused by dehydration. Eying the poor fellow once more; Shay took note that he neither looked dehydrated or seemed mentally unstable. Hmmm...
not sure on how to reply to his other questions; Shay faced her men and gave orders for the man to have one of the mare's to ride. "You can ride.. can't you?" She asked hoping for the best. |--Got Carried Away Hehe--|

"I can do far better, madam..."
Arannis slowly rose to his feet, and almost without a motion, large golden runic wings - easily appearing as immaterial, considering they were entirely an energy - sprouting from his back, and smaller sets from wrists and ankles. He rose into the air, and waited, a slight smile on his face.
"Lead the way, then. I will follow."

Watching the stranger; they all gaped as large golden wings materialized before them. Some rubbed their eyes in disbelief while the rest of her mean grabbed hold of their swords and condemned him. "He's a demon!" One of Shaynie's men called out, "Kill him; he might be like that god awful Youma! He'll kill us all!" Other men in her band cheered in agreement and began dismounting off their horses to attack; Shay threw up her hand stopping them all in their tracks. No word was spoken out against her, her commands were obeyed without question or second thought.
Shay placed her hand on the hilt of her sword and looked up slowly towards the stranger. Well I guess thing can go from bizarre to down right mad here after all.. Pondering if she should allow such a --thing like him to join them; Shay glanced at the smile on his face and decided to trust her gut. That and if he did in fact decide to betray her; she'll give him one hell of a fight before her last dying breath.
"Get back on the horses.." She spoke in a stern voice to her men, "We ride on." Turning her back against the stranger Shay walked to her mare and patted it on the neck before she spoke once more. "This doesn't mean I trust you stranger; but you shall accompany us for the time being." Getting on her horse, she flung her hair out of her face and look over at him with unwavering cold eyes. "Get out of line, in my way or give me reason to not trust you and your dead."

"Understood... although I must say, I have been called many things, demonic never having been one of them. I do not even stand on the scale between Angels and Demons."
His voice lowered some.
"I do wonder, though... why I am so judged as evil, when I come only to assist those in need..."
He flew slightly behind and reasonably above the last of the horsemen.

Leaning over in her saddle slightly towards him; Shay replied. "My men and I have seen a great many things as of late; nothing the gods themselves would have us endure. And yet a monstrous creature roams this land seeking out humans to feast upon. Pardon my men's quick judgment; yet wouldn't you a mere mortal see such a thing that is different, something to fear? It is in are nature to fear what we do not truly know." Pausing for a slight moment she sighed heavily and nodded towards her men to ease there troubled thoughts. "And my men and I have yet to find you worthy enough to trust. You may have wings like an angel; yet even they have the ability to turn on you at their on will." She turned away from him to end their conversation. She then took hold of the reins; nudged her horse into a gallop and headed for the next village.

Why, then... am I given no chance to earn it?
Arannis' look easily betrayed his concern for those below him on the road, as he opened his mouth to speak, but decided better to allow them a chance to learn by his actions how well-intended his actions were. He followed in silence.
