Evan's family was never blessed with good luck. Evan's older brother was born with muscular distrophy. Evan was born with dysthemesia, a disorder in which one gains a perfect photographic memory. Because his learning curve was so high, he was able to able go to third grade instead of kindergarden. Having those abilities, he was always made fun of. After all kids are cruel in third grade. He loved his older brother. They would play mind games because Evan had his intelligence and his brother had no muscular ability for real games. After a while, The brother died. Evan never related to anyone at his school. His mother, not sure how to help him, let him go to the homeschooling program for the orphanage across the street. It wasn't the Whammy house but the leaders were imitating the methods. He became friends with the kids and even entered their school's trivia challenges. He eventually grew into a young man.

As a young man, Evan ran. He wasn't strong and his lack of excercise as a child meant he didn't like sports as a normal kid. Video games bored him and dungeons and dragons was too unrealistic. He ran and gained a quick metabolism. He grew more intelligent but only moderately so. After the eighth grade, he became average because memorization only game him information and not application. He began to want to regain that feel of being smart. He legally changed his name to Evan. That was the name of his brother. He finished school and went to college. He excelled in every science that he applied but was terrible in every other subject. Math was pretty good for him though.

Eventually he decided to visit the orphanage rivals that beat him every year at the games. He happened to meet a violent whammy child named Damon. Damon wanted to beat him, seeing as though Evan beat him early in the games between Evan's school and the Whammy's school. HE was so angry about it that when he saw Evan he formulated a plan to kill him. Damon became Evan's first murder case and also his hardest. Evan was an amature detective at the time and Damon commited a murder challenging Every detective in the world to find him. Only Evan was able to decipher the various hidden clues in the crime. Damon almost killed Evan with a bomb but Evan had anticipated it and captured Damon.

After a couple years, Evan found love. He had joined the FBI and found a woman who was a detective for the B.A.U. II. At first she hated him, but she figured out that he wasn't like other men. She decided to give the relationship a shot. Her bipolar disorder mixed with his incapability to empathize with anger gave them the perfect relationship. They became partners and wanted to get married but couldn't due to the rules of their jobs.

Eventually Tilliana (the agent) was called by the queen to perform a unique case due to her high involvability with her past cases. He was bored while she was gone. His branch of the FBI was shut down after riots saying that profiling was wrong due to racial profiling and so he was fired. He went to a new detective agency to find a job along with one of his old friends from the FBI. Frank, his friend, started his own business after he realized that the new agency's owner was a bigot. He let Evan do whatever he wanted with resources but Frank, being African American, was limited. They kept in contact and eventually Evan got enough money to start his own business. He and Frank soon became the two best detective agencies in their city. Eventually they found a new case. Frank, being rather religious, didn't want to dabble in the new Kira case. Evan didn't care. He just wanted to give honor to his brother's name. After two years Tiliana came back. That was three months after the case started.
