This is a meme from journalling sites, linked to by Maenad Nuri on the "Hangout Thread for Pagans" in FC. You can nab it yourself and journal privately, but it's also a good way to help form a pathways thread for yourself.

So this is how this will work, if you want to join in with us here in the guild.

Make a post with this list in it (following), with a little intro at the top about why you want to participate or just saying hello. You can go through the list in your own pace... one a day, or take the days as they come. Do do them in order, and don't do them all on one day. Then when you have one written (you can make a pathways thread in this subforum, or use a blog as I plan to do) link the posts to each individual topic in the list.

If you don't know how to make links, it works as follows:
1. List item

I'm excited to participate in this, and I'm hoping other people will be too. As I've said, it's a meme from blogging sites, so if you'd rather just do them privately and not post them here, that's great too. This list comes to us tweaked by Nuri, so I'm not sure about the absolute original form thereof, and may alter it slightly again as events signify.

Here is the list:

1. Beliefs – Why (not) Paganism?
2. Beliefs – Cosmology
3. Beliefs – Deities

20. Paganism and my relationship

I was trying to find this list the other day after reading Nuri's blog. Thank you for posting it.

This may be exactly what I was looking for. It sure seems like it could help me get on a Path or help with it. I will give it a try and post it up here when I get started. Probably this Saturday I will start.

Hello, I am San. I'm a religious Hedgewitch and a Heathen. There's not a massive amount of crossover in my practice of each, but really I just try to practice as myself without making lines or barriers between them. There's not really bleed-over so much as my beliefs aren't exclusive of one another.

Anyway.

As I write this, I'll be doing it as both a Heathen and a Hedgewitch. Sometimes it'll be clear if I'm speaking of one or the other, and sometimes it'll be confused or mixed in together. If you have an LJ you can ask me about it there, as that's where I'll be posting them, but otherwise I guess you can ask here if you're interested in something but confused. Or PM.

I'll be writing NaNo over the next month, so I'll probably write this when I get bored and want to procrastinate. So it won't be a daily thing.

Here we go...

30 Days of Paganism (intro)
1. Beliefs – Why (not) Paganism?

8. Beliefs – Holidays
9. Deity Gender
10. Patrons
11. Pantheon – For these posts, pick a deity or speak of elements of the patheon, such as tribes or nature spirits, etc.
12. Pantheon – Thor
13. Pantheon –
14. Pantheon –
15. Pantheon (anti) – On finding a pantheon.
16. The meaning of terms like "earth-based" and what they mean to this path
17. My ways of worship
18. Community
19. Paganism and my family/friends
20. Paganism and my relationship

Not late - many of us have been slow in doing them. (I've found theyre a good nano procrastination wink ) I've really enjoyed the variety of ways in which people choose to respond as well.

Link us up when you start ^__^

I absolutely will. I'm actually really excited to start. I've never had to distinctly define many of those things on that list before. Now that I'm in transition from eclectic, non-definable paganism (culture theft, which bothers me immensely) to CR, I think this exercise will really help me put myself together. I may do a "This is what I've been doing vs. Scots-Celtic Recon and how it resonates on a deeper level" thing.

*Glee!* ^-^

I know I'm far behind on replying, but I just found this. razz

Maybe once I've really been able to define what exactly I believe and come up with a definite path, then I can do this. I really want to, but it'd be nearly impossible at this point.

I think I'll do this as well. This will be a really good exercise to think out some concepts I've been trying to nail down. I'm Gallic/British Reconstructionist (Er... Maybe Gallo-Roman is more accurate to my attitude, even though I only use Gaulish names and not Gallo-Roman syncretic names for the deities), and I'm trying to work more actual ritual and prayer into my theory and research. I haven't been nearly as good with personal worship as I would like to be, so this could be helpful.

I think I'm going to attempt this, but I'll most likely be putting it in my grimoire, not online anywhere. I think it will help me pick a specific path. I really like having something to give me topics to think about, thank you for posting it.

I did this meme last November, but totally forgot about this thread, and to post anything here.

I made a tidy little website for mine, though, to post the link on my tumblr, and figured I could drop it here as well.

Sry for bumping up an old thread, but I think I will give this a go. I really need some more structure for finding my path.

OMGOSH! Limits and restrictions on pace for a path! This is EXACTLY what I need right now. Lol! I'm sure a lot of people know by now I'm pretty excited, maybe TOO excited about my search for a pagan path, and all my questions and requests for help. xD;; If not, then you'll know soon enough. razz

Anyways, I will definitely try this! I'll be using my Gaia Journal, cause its easier for me than creating on on a blogging site. o.o
