I was re-reading Hivebent when I realized that they didn't show all that much relating to Sgrub. Like I would have loved to see Gl'Bgolybsprite and Gamzee's Lusus' sprite. I would have also loved to see Eridan's world and more of his feud between him, Sollux, and Feferi. Just think of all the awesome things that could've happened. So I made this topic so you can post your ideas on what could've happened and whatnot. Actually if this gets enough heat, I'll probably edit this post and in chronological order, list the things you people come up with. And since it didn't happen, there's really no right or wrong answer, so post whatever you image, as long as it makes some sense of course!

There are lots of little world-building details-- like each Land's Consorts, the details of Operation Regisurp, and what Karkat's ectobiology session was like-- that I would have liked to have seen but had to get left out due to the brisk pace of the arc.
But considering the fact that Hivebent took all summer even with all these omitted details, I guess Andrew knew what he was doing!
Speaking of troll ectobiology, I did some thinking the other day. I realized that all twelve trolls could have been produced from just four paradoxified adult trolls. (And we know that there had to have been adult trolls, based on what we know about ectobiology and troll reproduction.)
If the paradox slime from four adult trolls had been mixed together, then every possible pairing used to produce two paradox clones (one "caliginous" pairing and one "flushed" pairing), then that would make 12 paradox clones.
We also know that one of the adult trolls has to have been the Troll Empress, since she's the only one to share Feferi's blood color.
I am such a nerd sometimes. biggrin

Consorts I think would make sense: Aradia - Ghosts? Tavros- Lizards (he has them already) Sollux- No idea Karkat- CRABS Nepeta- Cats Kanaya- Insects (based on Mother Grub) Terezi- Crocodiles (she already has them) Vriska- Spiders Equius- Plankton (based on silence) Gamzee- Monkeys Eridan- Turtles Feferi- Cuttlefish

I don't know. I've heard people saying that, but it doesn't seem likely to me. It also sounds less interesting!
But at any rate, my reasoning is that the one ectobiology session that we have seen involved a crude facsimile of human reproduction (i.e. a male "parent" and a female "parent" combine genetic material-- or their paradox sludge combines, in this case-- to create a child), so I figure the troll ectobiology session would also involve a crude facsimile of troll reproduction (i.e. a pooling of genetic material-- or paradox sludge-- from Black and Red pairings).

That may have been how it went down, but I personally couldn't see it happening.
