Personality: Kenji could be considered an intellectual person who loves to rationalize everything. From an early age Kenji was taught how to critically think in order to conclude the best course of action, this was the way his parents raised him to be. Some would consider Kenji a strategical genius for his age, albeit Kenji likes to refrain from using such a word. He is a very modest kid who enjoys helping out others when they really need it.
Kenji is a person who thinks concrete, often times he strays away from abstract thinking since he was brought up in a science savvy household, but that's what came with the Last name Shokubutsu. Most of his clansmen are botanist and some are toxicologist (study of poisons) like his parents.
All in all Kenji is an emotionally impulsive kid who has a trail and error mindset. He is kind and respects authority whilst also having the emotional fortitude to sometimes disobey a said authority because he is often emotionally driven by his actions. It is also clear that Kenji is still very young and although he tries to give off the impression of a much older person it becomes extremely clear that he does not have the infallible knowledge he boasts and is still in some aspects quite immature.
Weapons: Kenji has two different places where he stores his weapons. One is a holster located around his right thigh, the holster holds his projectile weapons like the senbon and shuriken. The second is a pouch located on the belt around his waist, in this pouch he has his seeds and a custom reel for the 60ft of wire. The exploding tags are also located in this pouch also has a leather strap that holds Toge in it's sheath.

x1,Toge とげ: Toge is the chakra wakizashi which Kenji carries around. The reason the weapon is classified as a 'chakra' wakizashi is because it has the ability to channel Kenji's chakra through the blade. The blade also has a unique design which is a thin hollow barrel running through the sword from the end of the hilt to the tip of the blade. This design was specifically made for the Shokubutsu clan in order to slip tiny seeds through this hollow hole. Kenji always has at least one Dokushido seed inside. Aside from the small design just explained this sword has no other special property other than it's light weight and razor sharp end makes it a deadly fast weapon.
Chakra Shido (Chakra Seeds):
Banshido: The most basic of plants is grown from this seed. The plant is completely green and is capable of spreading like a weed, it's main purpose is to constrict, entangle, and whip enemies using it's thick vines. The plant spread strong roots that are very strong and resilient.
Dokushido: A basic seed that sprouts and green and purplish plant similar to the Banshido. This seed sprouts thick vines that are lined with purple needle like protrusions. These needles on the vines are capable of absorbing chakra and storing it within the bud of the plant, where via his Kekkei Genkai Kenji can absorb that stolen chakra. This technique is named after poison (Doku) because it also fatigues the person being absorb in a similar way to a toxin. The Dokushido's roots aren't very thick, they are more fine and fluid but more quickly and can attach themselves to a variety of areas including other plants.
Rokkushido: Another basic seed used by the SHokubutsu clan. With the ability known as Hatsuga they can cause the seed to sprout into a rock like plant that is capable of sprouting a rock that is covered with a rock-like skin capable of causing much more damage than the Banshido. This particular plant can also summon a plethora of roots to entangle around Kenji and shield him from attacks. So the Rokkushido once matured is both an offensive and defensive plant. The roots of the Rokkushido are much thicker and stronger than the Banshido, the Rock Plant grown from this seed is extremely hard to uproot even during a hurricane.

Kekkei Genkai: The Shokubutsu Clan evolved from the Senju clan with similar characteristics to nature manipulation. Members of this clan have a very close relationship with botany and the abilities they are gifted with involve the use and or manipulation of said nature. Also, because the Shokubutsu's Kekkei Genkai involve plant and nature manipulation their skills are further enhanced when they are able to draw external light energy from the sun. (Going with the whole Light is food for plant concept.)
The Shokubutsu Clan is famous for their Chakra Shido (Lit. Chakra Seeds). These Chakra Shido are very unique because their growth if manipulated through its planter via a technique known as Hatsuga (Germination), Hatsuga is the process in which the shinobi infuses his chakra into the seed in order to manifest the potential plant within the seed and use it's particular ability. The Chakra Shido are just as useful to the Shokubutsu as a complete arsenal of Jutsus.
But the Chakra Shido is one of the most basic skills of the clan, much more adept wielders of this Kekkei Genkai have learned the ability to become one with nature allowing them to use their body as a medium for their plant based jutsu. Some of these Jutsu involve the ability to communicate with plant life and other higher leveled skills involve the clansmen drawing out the energy of the plants, but it causes the absorbed plant to be sacrificed.

Biography: Kenji was born into the honorable Shokubutsu Clan that is well respected within Konoha and in the Fire Country. The history of the clan does not trace back too far considering they are a fairly new group, but in the short time they've been active the clan has contributed a plethora of things from skin balms made to cure severe burns, to toxins that can cure illnesses. So it was always the case that Kenji's parents always held high expectations for him. From an early age Kenji was taught arithmetic, language, and science. It was upon this foundation where his ninja training began.
After Kenji's father had laid out the foundation he sent him off to the academy. Kenji was able to pick up things here rather quickly and he was able to surpass most of his classmates. The young boy was always very modest and never let his skills for learning get the best of his ego, and that would of course be the modesty he inherited from his mother.
Continuing his growth in the Academy Kenji graduated to the Genin level at age twelve and was seen as the prodigy of the Shokubutsu Clan. There isn't much else to say about Kenji because he is still fairly young and just beginning his journey to the discovery of his nindo.
