Name: Ringo Mesht
Nickname(s):
Rin
" Bandit of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist "
Gender: Female - Animal x3
Age: 15
Height: Human 5'2" - Raccoon 28'
Weight: Human 100lbs - Raccoon 13lbs
Sexual Preference: Males [ Even though they are gross and stupid ]
Origin: Kirigakure
Personality:
Blood thirsty and cruel were the two words that got her into the position she is in today. Ringo’s personality when she was younger was not changed enough, which led her to madness and to the darker life. She takes pride in what she does now; slashing people apart either for fun or to make sure her identity is remembered. Blood does not bother her in the least bit and the injuries she receives, she just shrugs them off. When she was little pain meant nothing to her, she was treated like a dog until she stood out among the rest. There was no room for feeling sorry about the life you have or feeling pity for anyone or yourself. She grew up on trying to save herself and herself only.
Her personality ranges from anger and brutality to calmness and understanding. Most of the time she is rather outspoken and likes to make sure her voice reigns supreme over others. Yet most words of hers are not that kind and she likes to make sure when she is angry, someone is left crying. Ringo does restrain herself from using curse words, but she still makes her words hurtful in any way possible. In her human form it is hard to see why she is so angry all of the time, but when she is in her raccoon form, no one can believe how that small of a creature can be filled with anger. She uses either form to make a decision sound and then moved onto her other personality. Like a flipping coin, she could be either side in a second. It leaves one with a feeling of whip lash how fast her personality can change. This has often led the members of the seven swordsmen wanting to kill her or never wanting to be her partner. She was fine with that decision, because with her brutality she cannot really tell the difference between an ally and an enemy, so it would lead either to a quick funeral. Ringo does try to calm herself down when she gets to these sudden rages of hers, which can be subdued by either her distracting herself or someone changing the topic. But she never loses a vocal fight or gives up.
The next part of her personality is one that is seen after a battle or when she is deep in thought. A sense of calm washes over her face and everything goes eerily quiet for a few moments. In this state, her maturity really does stand out and people would know why she was also chosen to be a swordsman. Not only in this state can people tolerate the differences between her and the others, but also she opens up to people rather easily. More outgoing and kind she tries to play the part of where people look at her and show utmost respect. Yet that does not happen, for obvious reasons. People can easily talk to her when she is not in a state of rage or brutality, which can give her qualities of being a friend.
Yet now in her raccoon form things have changed quite much. She is intelligent enough to know that she still has chakra and is able to do battle, so people should not leave her out. A rather trustworthy person, she knows whatever side she chooses, she sticks with that side. But at the same time her mind has been rambling on about how she can change the world and how her life has drastically changed. These deep moments leave her struggling with herself, but also it makes her vulnerable. Ringo still has contact with the other members of the Swordsmen of the Mist and has been called in at times for a mission or two. She is often captured, because of the mistake of a regular raccoon, but she has also been captured by shinobi before. This concerns her the most, because if she cannot find the release for this curse, then she is stuck in the form of a bandit for the rest of her life.
Weapon Class: Sword
Name of Weapon: Grolo of Anicent Ruins
Weapon Range: Balanced
Special Abilities:
Ringo's blade is able to split into two swords instead of one large one. Where the blade and the actual attachment to it break off, is where the two blades separate. The spikes on the black end elongate and Ringo is able to hold onto the original blade. Both are deadlier when they split apart, because they have balanced ranges.
The real ability that goes along with Grolo is that he is able to absorb whatever from an opponent with each cut. When the blade touches the skin and a wound of any kind is inflicted the blade automatically absorbs the water within a person, draining them of energy. This water that is absorbed is then transferred to Ringo's own chakra where it will strengthen her own water jutsus. But also Grolo can absorb the water in the atmosphere to strengthen the playing field. With the more water that Grolo absorbs the stronger it becomes, but another ability is added to use. Grolo with its absorbed water can change its structure and then become apart of the water in the atmosphere. In this form Ringo is able to summon the blade in any given moment or release it.
Weapon Location:
In human form the sword is placed on Ringo's back parallel to the spine.
Raccoon form - Grolo becomes a stick
Other Weapons:
Shuriken, Kunai, Ninja Strings, Paper bombs, HyourouGan, and Makibishi
Occupation: Ninja - Swordsmen of the Mist
Biography:
Born in Kirigakure automatically means you are going to have a hard life. Those who are born in the Village of the Mist have no life to spare for others and they are granted with hardship. Kain and Yulso were two villagers who had joined the shinobi world through sweat and blood. Neither of them was special in any way and neither of them actually liked each other. They did belong to the same team though and it became an almost immediate partnership. Their lives together were filled with misery. Kain was constantly on missions, while Yulso was given the task of trying to go on missions. Even if they were married it did not mean they would be earning the same wages as people usually did. Kain was more advanced in jutsus and healthier than Yulso, so he was asked to go on missions more than her. At birth Yulso had been weaker than most people, because of a sickness that plagued those just born. The mist village is constantly under a strain of water and poverty, so her parents were not able to care for her properly and she did not get the right nutrients to grow as a strong shinobi. Yulso should have given up on her life there, but she did not. There wasn’t determination that kept her going, but something almost forced her to make the decision to keep going. These were the times where the village did not see regular customs and most people were left on the street. They worked together though to make a home and they tried for a family. The first time was a failure and they both wanted to give up and just continue. They had thought if they didn’t have children, then they could work more and be able to take care of themselves. Yulso did feel incomplete without trying once more and she convinced Kain to try again with her. So they did and it did not end up like a failure the first time.
Kain decided on the name since Yulso soon passed out afterwards. He named their daughter Ringo, even if it was a boy’s name, he believe she was the apple of their eyes. That day he had changed slightly, because he had a daughter, someone that he could train in years to come. He thought of her like a prodigy, wanting her to succeed to better levels than he or Yulso. Even so, he wanted Yulso to wake up and see their daughter, but she did not wake up. Kain was concerned of course and left Ringo to the doctors for the first few days of her life. He asked many medics and others what was wrong with his wife, but they could only explain the obvious. Yuslo under the strain of giving birth and also her weakened state left her in a coma. No one could predict if she would ever wake up or not, but Kain took that chance. He would pay the fees to keep her alive whatever way possible, as long as he could visit her whenever he wanted to. Ringo, when she was born, had left her in a state where she would never wake from. The guilt would eat away at her in the future, but Kain never thought of it. The hard truth did hit him like a truck, but he wanted to accept that there was someone behind that pale curtain. He soon took his daughter home and began to act like a father for a short time. He couldn’t stay with his daughter all the time, because with Yulos’s state and his promise to keep her alive, he would have to take on more missions and make money enough to keep his wife, his daughter and himself alive.
Now Kain did have high hopes for his daughter. Unlike most children who looked like their parents, Ringo did not. She had skin that was the color of ice and hair that was the color of cyan. He believed that these characteristics would automatically make her different from the rest of the people in the world. He took that opportunity to lavish people about stories of his daughter. Even with the rugged state of the town, Ringo was news to everyone. She looked like a child who was born to be in the mist, but also she looked like someone who would grow to change that. Kain took whatever time necessary to help train his child. First of course came the regular duties of walking, talking, eating and everything else, but after his long missions he did not hesitate teaching his daughter the basics of ninjutsu. Training by his care often left Ringo in a state where she could not stand anymore. She also could not remember the beginning or ends of days anymore. The constant mist over the village made it hard to determine if it was night or day. So training could take place at midnight and neither of them would know the difference. She actually became a quick learner in this way, because the longer the training, the more it concentrated her energy on perfecting a skill. Her stamina and endurance also increased, making it difficult for her aging father to keep up with at times.
Then the time of the academy came around and Ringo was accepted without second glance. Even at this age she had set up a name for herself. Classmates of hers would often shy away because of her strange looks, but she was easy to approach also. Her appearance did make people question a lot of things about her, so they wanted to know and curiosity got the better of them. Many students got to know her and soon she began to act like a regular child, even though she really wasn’t. Ringo had heard about some of the previous students at the mist village. Those like Zabuza or Kisame were known for their brutality, during the Bloody Mist’s exams, they were part of the ones that lived and advanced on. Ringo didn’t understand why they were thought of the bad guys when she was young, because they did what was told. If they were supposed to accomplish something, they should do it better than everyone else. Her father told her to make sure no one could stop her and to never turn back. That is what she thought of as well when she was child, because if no one could stop her, then she was granted excellence. Training with her father became bothersome, so she began to take after school lessons from teachers who were willing to. No one was actually willing to do anything, since they had to do what they could to survive, but most could not say no to Ringo. Training again focused more upon her ninjutsu, but some of them discovered she had a natural talent for taijutsu. Her strength surpassed some of the lessons she was given and when she reached a point where she even drew blood; it became a concern of what she was becoming.
Ringo grew deeper into the fact that she could do better than what she was doing currently. By now she was reaching the days of graduation where she would pass a few tests and then become a genin. There was an idea forming in her head of course, which consisted of the Hidden Mist’s villages past. The Bloody Mist’s exams sounded exciting to her and she could feel her body aching for some real action. She could remember that first moment when she had drawn that teacher’s blood. That teacher could not see it, but it had excited her to a state where she wanted to see it again, but on a larger scale. Those days where she had to wait were painful, because she just kept getting more and more excited. Kain had been busy getting ready for a mission, that he did not notice his daughter’s difference. He wanted to see her graduate, but that day he had to leave and would not be back for a few days. Ringo took that as part of a blessing, because if her father wasn’t around, then no one really had authority over her. She did not believe that elders had the right over anyone else, only those with power actually could tell her what to do. Her views on these teachers were that they were pathetic and acting like they were high and mighty, when they weren’t. So that day when she was asked to finish the tests, she did, with flying colors. But it did not stop there, because Ringo had found out that someone else had done as well as a performance as herself. She could not stand for believing she was on the same level as someone else. So after her test she approached the once bloody arena where the students would fight. It was easy to get the student to come down with her, because even the student was curious as to what person she was. Ringo stayed a part of the crowd for this long, but she would not accept that she was weak. It only took a few moments for her mind to go through the steps of how she would precede this task. Getting the student down was easy, but it was getting everyone else here which was the hard part. Ringo wanted an audience of people to watch her performance of power, to make them watch as she fought her own classmate.
That is what she did when she began her next steps. Shoving the kid down into the arena was easy and she approached him with an intense gaze. Her eyes had been characterized before as being pools of water, but water that no one could drink. Taking out a kunai knife she made the first attack and stabbed his ear to the earth. The student screamed out in pain and agony, causing the audience that she wanted to arrive. Now Ringo expected the kid to lash out and hold up some kind of fight, but they didn’t. The blood that was coming down the side of their face was enough for them to forfeit the match, but it would not end there. Ringo wanted blood spilt in the very area where those of the great past battled. Yet she did not want to see the student in pain and putting up a pathetic fight either. So using the same blade that she used on their ear, she used it to quickly slash the kid’s throat open and leave them there to run dry. She was shocked as well that no one had stopped her. It was a curious little fact that she later found out, wasn’t that curious at all. Shinobi of the Hidden Mist village are known for their hard lives and brutality. Even though it was not accepted to kill a person, they wanted it as well. Ringo had really only brought back a tradition that was used once before, there was nothing wrong with it. Yet those who were dumb enough to try and stop her were not fast enough. No teacher of hers could stop her, so she left the village behind.
Unlike most others who became part of the missing ninja rank, Ringo did not. She did commit a murder, but no one really reported it. The student’s family was running down the drain anyways and they did not care that their child was gone. Ringo took this as a stepping stone and began to proceed down a path that would lead her to the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. The first step to them of course would have to be the introduction of her sword. Grolo is a mysterious sword that cannot be handled just by anyone. Ringo had heard about strange swords from her father when he travelled, but she never did believe that she would encounter one of her own. She had snuck into an emperor’s home for a way to get some quick cash, but instead she found something else. The chambers to the treasure room she believed would be easy to find, but when she opened the doors, she discovered that the room was practically empty. The only thing inside was a wardrobe and a few cobwebs. So having an interest of what was inside of it, Ringo went up to wardrobe and opened it up to see what was inside. She didn’t expect to find a sword to be in a place like that, but it was. The blade was covered in what seemed to be seals of some kind and also did not have a sheath at all. Finding it interesting, she grasped the handle and lifted it down. Now no one can handle this blade properly, just because of its heavy weight. Ringo had been training when she left home in taijutsu and had upped the weight in which she could carry. It was difficult to lift the blade still, but she was able to. When she looked at it, she had no idea what it was, and just thought it another plain sword. Then it began to hit her and she knew what she was holding. The emperor who lived here collected items of value for selfish reasons and he didn’t even know that in his possession, he had obtained a sword that was fitted for battle. Ringo thought she could hear the blade’s pain, so taking the money she could get and the sword; she began another step down the road of her power.
The years passed and she had advanced in whatever way possible. Scaring some villagers was now just child’s play and she wanted to do more. Ringo took whatever opportunity available to show off her power, destroying small homes here and there, draining a person’s life, those became a routine. That is when she had an encounter with someone who she believed at first was weaker than her. Ringo has that superiority complex when it comes to new people, because she likes to show off. This person seemed reasonable enough and of course, she hadn’t hacked someone’s head in awhile. Reaching behind her back, she grasped Grolo’s handle, but before she could even land an attack on him, he had defended. This infuriated her to a point where she even decided to abandon Grolo and lash out at him with jutsus, which was a mistake of her own, because she should have stayed with her blade. The person she was going up again was well known, but also, Ringo didn’t know who he was. Ringo did not know that of course and she began to brutally attack him with everything she had. But he being a swordsman was calm and rather took this display, not in annoyance but a test. Even still he was cold and like her, did not just stand there and take everything. Ringo had some wounds afterwards and her sword was being held by this guy. It was almost an insult to believe that Grolo was being held by this guy, which infuriated her some more, but instead she waited for once in her life. He told her his name and then his title among the ranks of the swordsmen. Since they were both from the Village Hidden in the Mist they did have common background, but even still they had another similarity. Ringo had a sword and could use it like it was her own arm and he was the same, which made it fate in how they met. Kan did not wait for an answer from Ringo when he asked her to join the swordsmen, which she accepted. Still being young it was hard at first to situate herself among the others ranked, but she did. Like before she hoped to make this a show of her strength and power, but also she wanted to learn more about those before her. Some say that she reflects Kisame in a way, not by her strange appearance, but something else. Whatever the reason, it led her to the position as a feared person in the world and she would make everyone know that.
Ringo would at times return to the Hidden Mist village, because she would visit her father, but in secrecy. Even if she wasn’t a missing ninja it became evident that she was not allowed in such a place. So these small trips she took would please him, but she could do nothing to help him. She did not care about his condition and how he was slowly falling apart, but she did care about how he was holding onto her name. Ringo could tell that by her new title it added strain to him, because people would ask constantly about who she was, because even if her background was plain as day, it is still strange to have a teenager join the ranks of legendary swordsmen. Ringo would make these visits short and then return back to the members. Even if she was a new member, she held no one back and often worked solo or with another member. For awhile Ringo worked with the guy, not because he was more experienced, but because they both worked well together in summoning. Earlier in the time she joined the Seven, she had come across a wolverine that brought a contract to her. The boss was interested in a person like her and wanted to make a partnership, which involved some intense battles. Ringo took all of those challenges and then became a part of the summoning ranks, another step to greatness. Kan was gifted with more reptilian creatures, while Ringo with forest creatures. A strange combination, but that did not stop them at all, because whatever mission they went on together ended in victory.
Yet one particular mission did change. It ended in a loss for the both of them, but also in a life changing event on Ringo’s part. A year ago when Ringo was with him, they were asked to dispose of a person who was conducting some secret work for the Mist village. It wasn’t really a two team mission, because one of them could take the person on, but it did make the mission a fifty - fifty chance that someone would be changed. It so happened that the person they were going after was a witch of some sorts, working with spells and trying to make jutsus that seemed impossible. Grolo was itching for a fight and so Ringo was the one who struck first, which was a mistake. The witch had been expecting them and had conducted a trap while she was waiting, so while he hung back for a few moments, Ringo was the one who took the effects of the trap. A smoke screen of sorts wrapped around the both of them and he lost sight. The trap was also used a distraction so their target could get away, which made them lose this battle, but the distraction was large enough. When the smoke had cleared Ringo could not be seen anywhere and even Grolo had gone missing. It seemed as if she had disappeared forever and he would have to leave without his partner, but that was not it either. It took a couple of moments for her to actually come back to her senses, but when she did, she was confused to see that everything was much larger than they originally had been. And also it felt ten degrees hotter in the room and she just wanted to get out of here. So she tried to stand up, but found that she couldn’t and her legs were shaking. Looking down she discovered to her horror what exactly happened.
The witch’s trap was a curse that would lead Ringo down the path of misfortune. The curse was placed upon her when the smoke covered her and transformed her into the form of a raccoon. She would now remain this way until the witch is dead or until a counter curse is found. By day Ringo is stuck as a woodland creature and by night she reverts back to her human form. It became a disadvantage for herself, because she would have to try and work through the new disabilities she had and try to get used to this new body, but also she knew that he would not let this go. He had been the one with her when she had transformed and had been the one to begin his constant joking with her. This led her into a worse mood than before and also made her discover that her bite was much better than her bark. So for the time being she left the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist to get used to her body. But during that time she also found out that he had left the group to join a fouler one. He had died and took her secret to the grave. It was disappointing news, but it was also bad for her. No one else really knows the story behind her misfortune, besides he who was there. The rest of the world just believes her to be a special case.
For now Ringo is trying to find a counter curse or track down the witch who turned her into a raccoon, but all clues have gone cold. She is worried about the state in which she is in, but will take anything on when it arrives.
