The 10th Squad's rec hall is divided into several areas. One area is designed after a modern billiards hall, complete with pool tables, dart boards and a small bar, as well as a few tables set up for chess, mahjong and shogi. Another adjoining area is a library containing copies of the living realm's greatest literary works, as well as material by some of Soul Society's own poets, authors and philosophers.
Just outside the rec hall is a zen garden and koi pond, perfect for those who wish to get away from everything and just find some peace and quiet or meditate. When Captain Murasame is not in his office working on paperwork, training or on field assignment, he is most likely to be found in either the library or meditating by the koi pond.
Like the dining/recreation areas of other squads, the Squad 10 rec hall is open to members of other squads.

Murasame Kenshin
Squad 10 Captain
With the unnatural peace and quiet that Soul Society had been experiencing left little for the higher ranking members of the Gotei 13 to do, save for training and pursuing personal endeavors since there was hardly any paperwork to deal with...and practically no hollow activity whatsoever.
Lately, Captain Kenshin Murasame had been spending a considerable time in the dojo keeping his skills sharp, but today, he decided to relax in the squad's library with a nice cup of tea and a good book. Of course, the one time Kenshin actually let his guard down for a few moments, he ended up feeling a sensation that he hadn't felt in years...a familiar reiatsu suddenly appeared in the vicinity of the 1st squad barracks. Zankuro-soutaicho is a big girl, and quite capable of taking care of herself, so Kenshin wouldn't move out to investigate or intervene in whatever was going on unless he received either a request for assistance or an order to do so, but he did make sure his blade was within reach just in case.

Whatever the disturbance from earlier was, it seemed to be resolved...at least for the moment, anyway. Right now, though, Kenshin didn't have time to worry about it because it was nearly time for his patrol of Karakura Town to start.
Captain Murasame re-shelved the book he was reading, and grabbed his zanpakuto before starting out for the Senkaimon gate, but before leaving the Squad 10 HQ, he stopped for a moment to dispatch a Hell Moth to Squad 1 asking to be informed if anything came up requiring his attention in Seireitei or if any information regarding the incident earlier became available.
