The Bazaar is very important to the city. Here is where most trading happens. There are many stalls and merchants. Many shops and other places of business line the streets and lie below them. One can find just about anything here if you know where to look and what to look for....

Werlis stands calmly in the Bazaar, easily able to see over the heads of those around him. At 7'1", he easily stands out in drow society. Looking human on top of that doesn't help him blend in. Not that he cares. Not at all. He is enjoying his time out of the Hous Kilndar complex. Time away from the bothersome females and their wants. Their whips. A growl rumbles in his chest at the thought of those wretched whips literally biting into his flesh. It makes him see red. A splash of red forms around his pupils as anger rises. Taking a deep breath, he calms and and his eyes return to black.

Sage flew through the sky,all the children at the Bizarre area recognizing the shadow as one they had not seen before gathered, regardless of gender race or social standing, curiosity overweening thier deeply instilled belief of who is better then who for a moment as the demon landed.
"well boys and girls have you all been practicing your respective talents?"

the kids all nodded "yes MR but what dose that matter?" a random child spoke out "most of us will just end up house slaves some of us meat sheilds and a lucky few of us will end up dieing for the upper class's amusement" [these children...full of such despair...the bitter sting of their fates hidden behind false smiles...how ...SICKENING] this thought went through his head in an instant, the last word pounding and causing a knot in his chest,no,,,these children needed hope...maybe that's why he ended up in this strange world.

"where are your parents? the ones that tell you this is not to be your destiny?"
the children all looked at one another, thier false smiles replaced by somber expressions, then one child mumbled just afew words "they...are with our goddess sir"

He felt a pang of sympathy,it was obvious what that meant in any world, the wave of intense sudden sorrow...it was almost crushing,
He would have proffered a blade across the midsection
[Ok bleeding heart enough of this tear jerking i'm taking over!!] the two personaleties felt it best to keep actual speaking to when they were alone, for now it was mental untill he transformed and the kids were addressed "show me what all of you can do,if i'm impressed i'll train you" the fox was smart enough to whisper this, knowing to anyone else it would look like a preference by somewhat skilled circus children,,,if this world had a circus

The children eyed one another sceptically but decided to demonstrate what they knew, soe were surprisingly skilled at pick pocketing without anyone knowing others were good at swordplay and soe even knew magic and hand to hand combat.
They were even smart enough to bow when the crowd started to throw money "thank you thank you!!" they all shouted putting their false grins back in place.

the fox whispered in thier ears one by one before turning to the crowd "now children speak what I have just spoken to you to this fine crowd and all who here it,keep it in the back of your mindsand never forget"

the kids cleared thier throats and spoak with a confidence they had not felt before and recited the words the fox had whispered "regardless of what the future brings we must never doubt our power for it will be there for us in our darkest hour" with that the children bowed and returned the people's money.

[those kids will follow your words to their deaths in this world, we both know I don't spout uplifting tripe likethat!!] the winged kitsune now walked through the bizarre looking for something very specific

[well It isn't my fault, we both felt for those kids plight and you know it] wile having this mental conversation he failed to notice the kids had begun to follow him,he had too much on his mind from the earlier awkward confrontation in that castle, one he hoped never to repeat, not to mention the feeling of the sage Identity repressing him...plus he was kind of hungry from the shifting...but not about to give into the foxes are thieves stereotype,no matter how much his stomach growled...then he thought maybe he should have picked those guards pockets at the castle stereotype or not, then he mentally scolded himself for the thought

Sage soon resurfaced when Karzain's mind began to get jumbled and he went back to his previous form, this did nothing to help the hunger but at least their mind was at peace for now.
when he relized the children were still following him however, this would undoubtedly shatter that peace and send the two personalities back into conflict.
atleast he and the kids would be able to eat soon, atleat the plants in this world somewhat resembled ones from his world, unless he ran into someonw he could fill his belly a short distance from the place he was now in...but he probably used all his luck up already.
((hope this eddit was good enough,if anything still seems off check my character bio, please let me know if i need to make mor corrections over PM or messenger))

Werlis, emerging from the shadows, scares the children off. Not a hard thing to do when the giant of a man wheres the insignia of the first house and all in the city know him. He eyes the stranger before crossing his arms over his chest. "You play a dangerous game with the children. Should the women see you, all of those children will be sacrificed and so will you. What good would that do them? You wish to do some good for them? Teach them skills and how to get hired by mercenary bands. That will at least keep clothes on their backs, roofs over their heads, and food in their bellies."

Resisting the urge to scream at the large man he looked him in the eye "thank you for the advice but...that is exactly what i was planning to do with them and i would have gladly put my life on the line for those children who ihave known less then an hour, lucky it should not takeme long to find them again...you see my friend...berserker if i'm not mistaken, appearssome thingsstay the same in all dimensions" He propped himself up on his tails so they were eye to eye "I do not planon staying here...but if I can help those kids in any way to become strong so they do not end up slaves like those others I ran into before I leave then I shall"
He stopped to take in a breath "aside from a 6 inch height difference and you being human I assume my obviously tormented friend we are not so different,,,aside from the fact that i am not looking for a battle in which to die" it was then that he backed off a bit "my apologies...your mind...is rather vocal about your regrets...no something deeper" He shook his head and forced his third eye shut "donot assume because i am not from your world...that I wouldn't care for the children of it"
it was way too familiar in that man's skull "you should get someone to put up a mental wall" He held his head and began walking slowly after the children ((thisis anexample of brain over load, aka the down side of being as gifted as Sage is with magic and mental feats, certain minds litterally burst into his own))
PostPosted: Tue Oct 12, 2010 6:39 pm

Werlis calls after him. "To have such a wall here of my own doing would be folly, Sage." The demon smirks. "Do not assume. I am no human as I look." He sighs and shakes his head. "Train them in small groups and in secret, away from where you will be seen." His black eyes stray to one of the smaller orphans who roams the streets. A little girl he has secreted to House Kilndar on many occasions to feed and heal. "The priestesses keep the society the way it is. It is the way of things here. You will be seen as trouble." His dark eyes rest upon the man again. "If any ask, I will deny helping you. They will believe me over you."

He stopped turned to the man and returned the smirk that he couldnot possibly have seen re'openinghis thirdeye to have amentaltalk before leaving "As i suspected,we are notso different asidefromour appearances...as for therest, anyhelp youdo give will never be known to anyone besides me...unlike most of the people here I don't back stab those who aid me in any way...oh and good luck with the girl Werlis" he extended his wings and took to the air
the irony that he was below the earth yet soreing in this world's sky quite the amusing paradox.

He was soon back on the trail of the children, they seemed to be running out of the market...and toward the...smell of stalee arth and fungi? ofcorse, they ran out of fright, but like him they soon needed food, this dark place would surly have all types of mushrooms and plants that normally grew in dark places.

sure enough when he found them they were shovellingwhatever they could find in thier bellies, buttrying to avoid thecretures that also fed there
"Hey Mr. you found us!!" so what are we gona learn first? the children all asked wide eyed
"how to get meat" He eyed the thives first "empty your bags"

the kids did as told, sure enough they had swiped pans and afew seasonings from the market, theother kids looked on in amazement, at the man that didn't fear these creatures

"very good" He used the blood to form a brothandtossedinthe herbs plants and meat "you must always worktogether, thier is power in allies" He eyedthe spell casters next "floating flames now"
they nodded and created fire under the pans, they also stirred as the mix began cooking

"before you can learn to fight against those that would make you slaves, you must first know how to survive without them,so that you never have to grovel to the higher class in order to live...after this meal we will find a place to train, this is far too open to stay for long"

Thekidsallnoddedrather eagerly and handed him the pot "it's too hot right now," a young boyspokeup timidly
"yeah we'd burn our mouths off" a girlspokein agreement "but you can take it you are made to withstand heat right?"

Wile these facts were accurate both sides of the man...dragon and fox were speechless as he took his first bite, not cause it tasted better then he thought it would, which it did butat how unselfish these kids were despite their obviously rough lives, after eating his fill he gavei t back to the children.

they smiled then ate like starved piranahs, which wan't surprisng since they seemed almost life threateningly slim, thesmallest child ate last licking the pot clean

"perfect, you all look healthier already...now" He sheded his scales, a new fresher layer gleeming in their place "lets fly"

they blinked, but the amature spell casters knew it must be a wing trick, they probably wouldn't last long, but they would be far away by the time the wings became dust, the thieves were smart enough to pick up what they had taken,so asnotto give away where they had been

Seeing how meticulous the thief children were he figured they had been planning an escape for quite some time, maybe he was here to help them, that would be a good enough reason for now.
He smiled to himself and took flight once again

The children followed him one by one, luckly from the altitude it would have simply looked like a bunch of bats in the sky,the only one that may know being the berserker who had turned out to be one of the good guys

Loud talking hushed to normal voices and normal voices to whispers as Pelloth strode through the bazaar and those who weren't women of the houses stood aside to let the man pass through. He walked around the shops a few times to get a look at everything and smirked before walking out of the main area and onto a side street, leaving behind him a wave of whispering and hushed voices for a few moments until everyone's original business overtook their interest in the sorcerer.

Pelloth wandered aimlessly around the side streets and alleyways, not going anywhere in particular as the appointment he was out for was still not for a short while so he had some time to kill. Several orphan children skittered past him like spiders when a door is opened to a dark room for some reason so he decided it would be fun to see what had scared them enough to forget who he was, his smirk not abating in the slightest. He heard wings flapping and a few small eddies of wind when he turned the corner to see only Werlis standing in the alleyway.

"Oya, if it isn't The Kilndar's prized man," he snickered, "Scaring children doesn't seem like a very amusing hobby, but if it suits you I won't judge." He didn't speak in a manner so as to egg on the man since he didn't want to get into a fight, but most would find something in his voice abrasive. He crossed one arm and put his other hand to his chin, "I didn't arrive at a bad time though, did I? I promise I didn't overhear anything. I wouldn't want to know of any secret dealings- I do abhor involvement."

Werlis eyes the man before him. He prides himself on remembering the important people of the city. "Archmage Pelloth." He doesn't bow his head as most slaves would. He is the personal slave of Matron Mother Kilndar after all. He may not be proud of it, but it does bring him status in this chaotic society. "If I scare children, it is by reputation and appearance. Or by order." Black eyes study the man intently. "What is an archmage doing out at this hour?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 16, 2010 8:26 am

Pelloth gave a slightly exaggerated stage bow as though he was being introduced when Werlis mentioned his name, his smile appearing all the more questionable because of this, "As expected of one of your position, you remember names well," he hummed, looking over the man nearly two feet taller than him. "Without a doubt you have a reputation, although I must say that in person you aren't the same as the rumors say; I wonder if just nobody stays around to see this," his grin took on a dark cast as his eyebrows lowered in the middle, "Or do those that stay around see it?"

The man's expression softened back to the previous Cheshire Cat grin as he thought a moment before answering the man's question, "I've just got a little while before an appointment with Matron Barriurden about the matter or some slaves, so I was walking about the bazaar when I started to feel as though my presence was a bother. I then went into a side street and here I am." Pelloth tilted his head some, putting a hand on his hip and the other at his chin again, "What about you? Even one as high as you- a slave in the dark corners of the city just screams of intrigue."

"It is my place to remember names as you well know." Red forms around Werlis's pupils as he becomes a bit irritated. Of course he has a reputation. He is a demon and a berseker. A berserker who does not have full control of his rage any longer because he is too old. Too old. Calming he looks the mage over. "One even of your caliber should not take a meeting with Matron Barriurden so lightly. A meeting with one such as her should be prepared for. Carefully." He lifts one dark brow at the drow male. "Does it? You would accuse me of intrigue?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 16, 2010 7:30 pm

"Yes, as men if we don't remember names they might just off us at such an insult," Pelloth said, eying Werlis' face with interest as his eyes glowed slightly. Despite his usual demeanor his face did gain a serious cast as Werlis mentioned the Matron Barriurden, "Yes, especially since mine is a power of strength and not particularly skill. I can and have reduced a lower house to ash with a thought, but if I need to be tactful and play with the dark dance of social skills then I do get dragged around quite a lot," he said, his expression softening somewhat as he thought nostalgically about the house he mentioned. "Ah, but that sure was wonderful. I think that was the first time we met after all. That one upstart house a few years back that was stealing slaves and acting the part of complete boors. Once everyone had proper evidence I went in and turned the entire estate and family to ruins." Although he said ruins, a smoking crater would have been a better way to describe it. The whole city had called it Lolth's punishment on the house for their inelegant selves to be destroyed in such an inelegant way.

Pelloth quickly shook his head and turned back to his usual Cheshire Cat grin, "Oh Lolth's webs no. I'd never do such a thing; it's far too bothersome to be involved in the dance of our society knowingly. If my strings are pulled then I'll go along, but if they are loose then I'll do nothing on my own to others' strings. Especially since you are Matron Kilndar's favorite. Which reminds me, I hear that one of her daughters has just done something extraordinary. The event escapes me at the moment, but my esteemed mother was speaking of it quite animatedly before giving me this chore. I think it's why she isn't going herself. Either way, please give my congratulations if you would be so kind; to both the Matron and her daughter. Now, I must be off," he seemed to hide no ulterior motive despite his hard-to-trust smile as he turned and walked back the way he came whilst waving one hand languidly in the air.

"Archmage Pelloth." Werlis gently grabs his arm and pulls him back. His black eyes look about to make sure that none are listening in. The now favored daughter's exploits have been brought into light now. "It is her fifth daughter of which you speak, the one whom which previously had no name. Matron Kilndar has now named her LiNeeerafae." He watches the mage for a moment. "She is trained in the arts of magic. She is powerful. Perhaps the two of you should speak when you have the time."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 17, 2010 2:03 am

Sage even at the great distence away felt a flurry of rage in the winds "that was a fast mood shift,he may be in his latter years but that berserker is rather impressive with his level of control
"why are we eves dropping? with second sight? it see,s pointless"

"LiNeeerafae so that's how you say that woman's name...and stop saying WE i'm the one that decided to eves drop on the conversation, you can't use spy techniques worth a damn unless you're at close range...the way that guy is so proud of destroying weeker adversaries...it's sickening,,there's no sport in that at all he may aswell have went around clubbing mice!!"

"please refrain from losing your temper, we maybe separated for this training exorcise but it's still giving me a head ache"
in realety it was from using thier skill, infact one of the few skills they both shared,so soon after seperating, but it was easier to blame his other side.

The children had taken a break from training to watch the exchange, wondering how one person could litterally split in two, plus it gave them an excuse to bandage eachother up,the funny part was they had inflicted all sorts of damage on one another but they were still standing "hah I got you good!"
"oh yeah your a** still tingly from that ball lightning of mine? razz " 'you call that lightning? more like static" the lite haert-ed trash talk continued on like this for awile as they patched eachother up

the fox side eyed them all "I can't remember the last time I had such a lite heart-ed spar like these kids did...but we can't keep taking it easy on them"

"agreed...we will step up thier training day by day and see how fast they can adapt,,,but i feel bad training such young kids for a life of fighting"

"we don't have a choice Sage, and this is only the beginning...so you think we train this bunch and it's over?...it won't be over till we have turned all the lost children into skilled pros of thier trades amature tricksters into arch-mages scrappers into hand to hand experts...thieves into rogues and treasure hunters...the most we can hope to do is give them all better fates then the ones they would have without our intervention"
"but you have already done that...um am i suppose to say you both or just you? this isconfusing seing one man become two and all" the small half dwarf drow who was the sly thief that got them thier supplys now just laughed sheepishly like any other confused chiled, but then suddenly became serious "when I grow up i'll change things!!...probably not enough to end the war or make men as highly regarded as women, but i'll atleast find a way to make the laws fair and not gender bias"

the fact that these words were coming from such a small girl let alone a thief caused the men to become one again, because they felt the same kind of pride in this girl's words "you are wuite the speaker...I hope you do just as you say" Sage was once again the lead personality and simply patted the head of the small child. ((you're doing really good with the story))

At the same time Werlis grabbed Pelloth's arm he felt something in the distance, looking to the side and almost seeing eyes staring at him from far away, but he didn't quite understand what it meant so he put it from his mind for the time being and looked back to the berserker. He slowly and peacefully slipped the arm that had been grabbed and turned the hand over, "Ah, LiNeeerafae. A good name if I must say. I'd much like to speak if given the chance," he said, taking a long knife he had at his side and lifting it up. He fixed the nail of his thumb under the jewel on the bottom of the hilt and popped it off into Werlis' hand. Lightning crackled from Pelloth's extended finger into it, making it glow a moment before it settled back to just a simple red jewel, "One of the scant few bits of wizardry I know," he explained then closing the hand around the gem, "It will glow some if you hold it in the direction I am in and will turn blue if I'm alone or green if I'm in company." He picked up a stone off the ground and held it above the knife, heating it up until it melted down into the old jewel's place and created a new one. Once more he glanced in the direction he had the strange sensation from with concern, but merely smiled at Werlis before saying, "We'll meet again," and setting off once again.
