The Barton Castle Grounds are divided into two areas:

The Inner Compound is well-kept, and contains the central Barton Castle, the Royal Mansions, the Grand Hall, the Research Facility and the Castle Town, all safely behind the Inner Wall.

The highly-defended Outer Compound, which hosts both the Inner and Outer Walls. The Guard Towers and Training Forts are spread out in between the area of the two walls. The compound encircles the Inner Compound, and one must pass through one of the gates to enter.

Slightly smaller and less-impressive than the Outer Wall, the Inner Wall still serves a defensive purpose as well as adding organization and style to the compound. It is a good place to go for a jog, as it encircles the Inner Compound.

The Outer Wall is a massive wall constructed of concrete and reinforced steel, and overlaid with patterned tiles for style. It is wide enough for patrol personnel to walk along. It has but a single steel-reinforced entry-gate, and guard towers are placed at strategic points.
