Stellar Dragon

Dragon was up and out of bed early, wanting to get ready for his outing that was heading from his home up to where the Mall was located and inside of it was the grocery store that he needed to visit. His plan was to stock the cabinets with things that were either very simple to make or things that were already made. Either way he would be happy so long as he didn't have to cook to terribly much with his own hands since that was one skill that he'd never figured out. He found himself wondering if there was a chance that there would be a cooking class to be had at this place. The thing he was really hoping for was that his roommate knew how to cook, being a girl you would think that it would be something she was a natural at.

The young Prince set to work dressing, wondering why it was that most of what he'd gotten sent with him clothing wise was somewhat plain and boring... perhaps he needed to pick up some new clothing as well? First and foremost though food was the important thing as he felt like he could eat an entire Minotaur at this point he was so hungry! His tail lashed behind him as he found the best of what he had on, bypassed his shoes though at least carried them with him, and headed down the stairs to the bottom floor. When he got there he realized his hair was still down... something that made him toss his shoes onto the floor by the door before he headed back up the stairs. If nothing else at least it was good exercise to make up for the fact that when he was outside he was a touch lazier since he didn't want his bare feet to touch the dirty ground.

Brush and a hair tie was fetched and he was heading back down the stairs once more, jumping off at the third one from the bottom, landed easily and continued on over to where his shoes were awaiting him. He paused there so he could run his brush through his hair, making sure he didn't have any bedhead or knots before he tied it back in a lazy pony tail at the nape of his neck. Brush was tossed over his shoulder to land somewhere at random, shoes were retrieved along with the list he had hung right next to the door so he wouldn't forget it on his way out, and he was off.

The moment that he passed by the threshold between his place and the outside world he was floating along a few inches above the ground to protect his feet from whatever might be down there. Anything from dirt to bugs to sharp things that he didn't want to risk his feet coming in contact with. From where he lived the mall and everything that was contained within it was North, a short enough distance for one who could float along at a quick pace. Once he arrived he floated up a little higher as he set to work pulling on his uncomfortable and unwanted shoes, grocery list held firmly in his teeth so it wouldn't escape.

Well that was something you didn't see every day. Phoenix had currently been sitting on a bench just inside the grand sliding-glass doors in the mall, wings spread over him like some kind of canopy, elbows propped up on his knees as ember-bright eyes regarded the rest of the world with a haughty sort of self-satisfaction, when he espied the newest shopper to make his entrance to the mall, an odd piece of paper clasped in his mouth as he hovered off of the ground in an attempt to get his shoes on. Now that...that was just priceless. Dragons, naturally, the phoenix child regarded with not a little respect, they were, after all, some of the most highly regarded Myths...though they did not have the enigmatic line of ancestry that Phoe himself possessed.

But to see one fumbling with footgear, blatantly using his abilities in order not to touch solid ground, the student had to be amused at both the practicality and utter absurdity of the situation. Smiling faintly, bemused for once, he arched a brow as his wings shifted back with the straightening of his shoulders. "Do you require any assistance?" It was good-natured, of course, he had no wish at current to garner any enmity with other members of his house. Enmity amidst a house just looked bad to the outside world, and such petty squabbles created political rifts that had aftershocks for years to come. Or at least, so those vague memories in his headspace told him...and thus, Phoe followed the instincts gifted to him by what he'd not-so-fondly dubbed the 'ghosts of Phoenixes past'.

So here he was, attempting to make early alliances. Even if this fellow turned out to be a p***k, he couldn't be half so bad as that irritating little b*****d from Guerehonbo. Raven, he'd said his name was? Whatever the case, he'd been infuriating, and Phoe was still plotting rather terrible revenge on the other, the sort that lasted and would be remembered as the years passed. Or at least, Raven would remember it. Dismissing the rather unpleasant subject from his mind, he canted head to one side, still observing the rather strange, wiggling dance that Dragon was currently performing. He really should have put those on at home and spared himself all of this indignity...Phoe was going to have to give him some pointers in private, should they hit it off.

Dragon froze in place when he heard a voice, his body going for a moment stiff before his head turned toward the voice. He starred for a moment at the one that standing there before he visibly relaxed. He knew what this one was and he found it alright that an Indignadi child caught him in such a pose, were it a child from any other house he'd of been a little more worried. He dropped his grocery list from his mouth into his hand before he allowed himself to lower down to the ground as though he could finally settle down on it now that his shoes were on. The last thing he wanted was for the dirt of the would to get on his feet, something he supposed he liked less then being forced to wear shoes though only to a small degree.

"Thank you but I am quite alright." He told Phoenix, giving a nod of is head. His tail swish from side to side as he took a step closer to the fiery colored boy and seemed to be a bit interested of him. That he didn't say anything about catching him in that situation automatically made him think better of the winged boy then he'd of felt about him otherwise. There was a moment where silence seemed to reign as he tried to figure out what it was that he should say to the other boy.

After what felt like an eternity, which was actually just a few seconds, he finally held his list up as though it were something important, "I am heading inside to procure some food for myself and my roommate." He told Phoenix, "If your bored you can feel free to accompany me." The closest the other boy would get to an invitation from Dragon, not that he believed he would want to come along on so dull a task as grocery shopping.
