Kares-Eternal Chronicler Captain

For 5000 years, Arannis and Eri stood side-by-side in the worlds of the living, struggling against hopeless circumstances against an enemy so far beyond even their understanding, unable to express their truest feelings, until on Earth, they find themselves taken into death all too quickly by a well-organized military force, and now, finally given the peace they had wanted for longer than many would ever care to remember.
Our story ends here, in the eternal aftermath, at the Last Blood Cafe, the sole location between the mortal realms and the netherworld.
House Rules: 1: No violence, period. 2: Wait... there isn't a second, but all standard rules apply.

A single flash of light through the Cafe, followed by three more, and suddenly Arannis, first in the formless silver mist he had faded into death by, then taking shape to form his own self, and turning a pale gold, solidifying, appeared. He looked around, all too quickly spotting Okiku, the ghost girl that he had met several thousand years ago. He smiled warmly, and held his arms wide.
"As promised, Okiku. I'm back."

The not-so-little ghost spun around quickly and flashed a wide smile.
"Arannis! Yay! You're back!"
She ran forward and jumped to hug him. She clung there for an instant before stepping back, remembering her place and what events would have transpired to bring him back to the Last Blood.
"Oh, I am so sorry. I do hope that your death was not elongated and painful."

Arannis stumbled back from the impact slightly, his Celestial frailty again nearly getting the better of him, but he caught his balance.
"At least it wasn't tortuous. Unfortunately, the rate things are headed... I suspect a very close friend of mine will be arriving shortly."
He turned to the side, then back again.
"You've grown since last time, the day notwithstanding."

Okiku spun around, twirling, a happy smile on her face.
"I know! It's amazing, I've added at least eight years of living, so now I'm finally older!"
She looked around expectantly.
"This is wonderful! More people on the way!"
She paused thinking before continuing in a quieter voice.
"What I meant is that it isn't good that they are dying, but I am happy that soon I'll have more company. Does that make much sense? To be happy yet sorry at the same time?"

Arannis chuckled, his smile not fading for an instant.
"I know all too well. Even in my first time coming, I knew how that was. Still, it does do me some solace to know that finally I have earned my peace... well, as much as I'll ever want of it, anyhow."
He held a hand out, and an image of Eri appeared above it.
"She is the only real reason I'd prefer not to face judgment. I fear nothing, but I would much rather not risk solitude."

Okiku nodded, studying the image intently.
"I'll certainly keep an eye out for her. It should be pretty easy. You know as well as I do that we don't get very many shiny people around here."
She giggled, remembering how frightened she used to be of facing judgment.
"If you talk to Mister Lyrandis, he might help you out."

"You do realize, don't you, that Lyrandis is the demigod of the Celestial? We have already spoken on numerous occasions. He understands as well as I do that in my own best interests, I should be allowed to decide."

Markirus felt cold and weightless, the last thing he could remember was Ryn killing him off. After a few seconds he felt himself gaining weight once more as he fell towards a shimmering Light below him. Bracing himself he did not feel any impact, as he opened his eyes he looked around to see that he was within a Cafe. Making a small sigh he brushed his hair back, he paused, his form was back to how he was before he had taken the path of Darkness, his hair and coat back to that of a pure white and his skin a pale hue.
Looking over he saw Arannis talking to someone he had not met before, they both seemed happy, at first Markirus wasn't sure whether he should say hello or not. But eventualy he remembered some more about what he had done and decided against it, sitting himself down in the farthest corner he could find to think about what he had done.
(Yes hello..... I shall delete this if you do not wish to have me here.)

Arannis glanced over to Markirus, his face suddenly a mask of doubt, but his non-hostile behavior allowing less judgment. He walked over to him, and seated himself.
"It's been far too long, Markirus... I know you probably have a lot on your mind, but I'm willing to listen."

(I noticed that the moment I posted and edited it accordingly. I must apologies for my behavior in the past, I have missed so much and joining in now is probably a problem for some of you.)
Markirus looked up at Arannis, only to lookd down again at the table where he was sat by. He wasn't sure what to say, let alone why he was here, the traitor felt out of place in such a world. "Indeed it has.... But please, it seemed like you were happy with the person over there, don't make me interrupt your peace within such a place."

The ghost followed Arannis' line of sight, and saw a newcomer sitting at one of the tables. The air inside the cafe suddenly felt a little heavy, and Okiku wasn't very sure if she should approach yet. Instead she went behind the counter and and started making drinks for her guests.

"Not at all, Markirus... I have all eternity to my time here. Surely I can spare a few moments for a fallen comrade. I do hope the troubles have come to an end, inwardly, though... I've seen enough fighting already."
He looked over to Okiku, and motioned for her to come.
(Seriously, where's Eri?)

Markirus let out a small grunt as he smiled slightly, his head never lifting from looking at the table. Why would Arannis accept him so willingly? "What I have done.... Cannot be forgiven so easily my friend, I was enticed by Ryn so easily yet all I did was become a sacrifice for him..... I myself cannot forgive what I have done as easily as you might." He only looked up for a moment and saw the other figure walking behind the counter, smiling at her politly before looking back at Arannis.

(I am not dead yet >^.^<)
The ghost hurried over, balancing a tray of drinks on a silver tray. She set these in front of the two and smiled.
"Welcome to the Last Blood Cafe! If there is anything I can get you, please don't hesitate to ask."
