Genesis: God created the Earth, seperating the heavens and the earth. the waters and the land, the light from the darkness. He created plants, and animals. And finally he created man. Then he rested.

This is the truth according to some. This is scripture, from the mouth of God.

Did god create the strange things that are unexplainable? Stonehenge, the Peruvian picutres, and the other strange sites around the world? No. Man did. How did man? Before the Cro Magnums, that's how.

The Earth 'resets' itself every once in a while. Making exact carbon dating impossible, but there were people before us. We call them The Previous.

The Previous knew their world was dying. They left us clear signs, trying to tell us they were here, and get us to try to figure out what happened.

Before the world reset itself, there was an alien visit. Not unusual with the technology they had managed to discover. They sent 6 children to live with the aliens, to preserve the human race. They said to bring them back, after they had continued the race, to come back to a whole new Earth.

They were, however, decieved. The aliens saw only profit, breeding the humans as slaves, creating stronger, prettier, more graceful, perfect, humans.

Meawhile, Earth reset, and started the race anew.

But what happened to this other human race? They are spread out, over the galaxy. Still perfect, but very few in numbers, only the very rich can afford them as pets, slaves, and sometimes, snacks.

On Earth, we find the messages, and are blind. But one scientist discovered the secret. This Scientist has solved the equation and is out to rescue what's left of the previous human race.

The scientist gathered a crew, and a starship, and set out to the inhabited planets on the map.

Time: The Future.
Place: Mostly Space, sometimes foreign planets.
Details: Think of Star Trek, and don't kill me for it. I'm a trekky, and I thought this would be fun.

More details: Keep in mind, no one will likely speak English. They do have translator technology, but only for alien species they've encountered.
