A new village. The second kage has just recently died so they've chosen a new one.

User ImageDuring the war between the Land of Claws and the Land of Fangs, there was a medical ninja of the land of Claws who was at the level of a genius. As much of a genius he was, he was insane wanting to CREATE a new kind of ninja to help them end this lifelong battle that had been going on since before even his great great grandparents were babies. He wanted to create humans with animal senses, abilities and create powers. Human transmutation. He failed many times. Killing many innocent animals and children. Then one day, he told himself if he failed, he would give up and kill himself, but of course, he was successful. He had successfully mixed the genes of a cat with a baby boy. So of course he just HAD to continue, to check if it had been a fluke. Mutating humans and animals together. Felines, canines, birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians. He had become more and more insane every time. After mutating HUNDREDS, he tried to do it to himself, but died in the process. He was found lifeless with physical characteristics of all species. As for the experiments. They were still human so they couldn't be killed, it wouldn't be right to kill them, especially while the majority of them were children with a few young adults. Other villages then decided to let them be, stating it was the problem of the Land of Fangs and Claws. And as these children-shinobi grew older, they helped end the war, and had created a new brand of ninja and human. It took many, MANY years for them to actually create a village, and it is still quite small. The village itself is only roughly... fifty years old so many of the 'original experiments' have long passed.... very very few are still alive and are probably ready to keel over.

This village is a place full of animal like ninja. Each Beast-nin with their own companion that is given to them on their first birthday. From then on the ninja will become best friends with his or her companion until they die. Each ninja also has at least two physical attributes of their race. For example one of the felines may have a cat tail and ears. Also each clan have their own jutsus, based on what they have learned from combining the ways of ninja with the ways of animals. There are some that can emphasize senses, make you look like a normal human, or make you change into the animal of your kind. The four main clans are listed below... but there are many others though not quite as large in size. Reptiles and amphibians, vertebrates and invertebrates (though... they aren't many of them)... there aren't JUST mammals.

The main clan is called the Nekogami clan. The Nekogami are above all others saying to have direct blood relations to the first and original baby who was mutated, the first successful experiment. They do have branch families of halfbreeds and wildcats seeing how the majority of citizens aren't blood related but, they don't ignore anybody. They aren't as excluding as the Inugami clan. But they do seem to think of themselves as 'higher' than all other clans. Especially the Inugami clan. I guess you could say... they are like the royal family of Yajuugakure. This clan is specialized in speed and stealth.

Second is the Inugami clan. The clan is full of ninja that have the genes of a domestic dog in their blood. They have a rivalry with the Nekogami clan but are generally more calm, collected and loyal. They are rather, greatly excluding when it comes to 'inferior breeds' of dog. The Branch house is for those that are halfbreed and 'wild' (like wolves etc...) claiming them to be too impulsive, simple-minded and uncivilized - believing that the genes of their species was too powerful, or they are too weak to control them. The whole village is full of BEASTS already, at least try to be a little civilized. Ninja of this clan are the supreme masters of Taijutsu in the Beast Village; hand to hand combat and strength.

Third is the Torigami clan. It's an avian clan full of ninja that have the ability to fly. When they use a certain jutsu they can grow wings if they don't have any already. Then they can make themselves lighter and buh bye! But there have been known to be 'defects' that never do fly. This clan is a bit different from the other clans. There is no main house or branch house. They believe that everyone is equal. This clan is specialized in Genjutsu; Illusionary techniques.

Fourth there is the Gesshiruigami clan. They are the rodents. The are like the Torigami clan, all living together in the Gesshiruigami Manor. There are no branch houses or main houses. Just different breeds. There are rabbits, mice, squirrels any rodent you can think of. They are naturally 'small' but like the Nekogami clan they are masters of speed and stealth and make brilliant scouts.
