User ImageTwenty Years ago, Princess Koyuki was targeted for her necklace, the key to her father's treasure. While imprisoned, Naruto Uzumaki (who had happened to be one of her biggest fans) told her of his devastating past and how he overcame it. After escaping from prison, Koyuki gave Dotō her necklace and attempts to stab him. She was then kidnapped by Dotō as he discovered the treasure is a generator to change the Land of Snow into the Land of Spring. Naruto ultimately defeated Dotō with the encouragement of Koyuki who remembered her father as she looked out to his achieved dream, the Land of Spring, and sheded tears of joy and truly smiled for the first time in 10 years. With her film complete, Koyuki explained that the Land of Spring will temporarily become the Land of Snow every winter.
The Village Hidden in the Snow, had been by the Matsuragi Clan, those were able to manipulate snow and ice. As the years passed by the Matsuragi clan grew more powerful and other clans were established in Yuki no Kuni. The village officially established as a shinobi village for the Land of Spring after Princess Koyuki asked the Matsuragi Clan for protection from invaders after Dotō had been defeated by Naruto. During the time of when Yukigakure was not "officially" formed, other clans had soon grown into power as well. The various clans soon had developed strong bonds with some or most clans in the village.

Almost 18 years had gone by since the fall of the Matsuragi Clan. Shiki Matsuragi had murdered his entire clan, supposedly including his brother Quan as well as his niece Shizuru. The only alleged survivors were Tenjou and Shiki Matsuragi. Since the tragedy, Gakupo Kamui had been elected to be Yukikage

Masturagi Clan- Had been destroyed by their own member Shiki Matsuragi. The Matsuragi District had been closed until Quan Matsuragi revealed to Tenjou that he was still alive. He had gained ownership of the district. The district remains empty and the manor is used as a vacation home for Quan and his wife Yuuko as well as Tenjou and her husband Kakashi.

Kamui Clan- The Kamui Clan is a powerful and well known clan for their speed and agility. Most members of the Kamui clan end up as Anbu, Special Jounin, Hunter-nin, or Anbu Black Ops. They are often used for difficult missions such as tracking or hunting for assassination. Their clan also possesses a jinchuuruki known as Gakupo Kamui as well as him being Yukikage.
