This classroom feels not unlike a library, tall windows streaming in sunlight and illuminating the shelves of books on either side of the rows of desk. The teacher, Man-o-War, calmly hovering in a chair at his desk, sits with half-lidded eyes, seeming to be almost caught in day-dream as his students arrive. All at once, however, when class time arrives, his eyes brighten, and he smiles serenely. "Welcome children, today we embark upon a voyage to the history of the world...now...let's see what you know about it, shall we?"
Quote: The teacher has you divide into groups, 3-4 people in each, and then gives you the entire class period to decide on a segment of history to summarize. A summary which then must be handed in to the teacher.
Post order: Rattlesnake, Phoenix, Butterfly

The classroom was awe inspiring. Were all these books records of the past? Rattle wondered about where the books came from and if there were books here that were not in the library as she waited for class to start.
Rattle listened to the teacher speak as he defined their assignment. Work as partners... As in she had to get accepted into a group? What a hassle. The snake preferred when groups were assigned since she was used to other children not wanting her in theirs. If given the choice she doubted any of the other kids would go up to her to ask. She scanned the room and chose to go up to someone who still looked to be without a group still. "Hey, are you in a group yet? Would working together be ok?"

What was it with these teachers and their obsessions with group assignments? Phoenix didn't have a partner, likely as not because he was still sitting at his desk with arms crossed over his chest, wings twitching slightly with vague tremors of irritation. Honestly, he'd much rather embark on these in-class projects alone, as experience had proven that those about him would simply bog him down. Ah well, at least partners were good for something, and that was placing the blame on them if the grade returned back shoddy. Turning bored, ember-toned gaze to the girl who approached him, he scanned her idly, snorting softly as he noted her most unique build. Funny little oddball, wasn't she? Well he supposed she would do.
"Sure." He replied, shifting his chair around to face her. "Though we are still going to require one more..." Too bad just this one wouldn't do, the fewer of these idiots he had to work with the better. Thus far, none had proven particularly interesting...he'd much rather be off singeing Rae's tailfeathers. He played at being brave, but really, he was just another snotty-nosed brat. Ah well, time to make nice with the populace. Extending a hand to the Rattlesnake, he smiled blandly, an insincere expression. "I'm Phoenix. Just Phoe for short. And don't pronounce it Fee, it's more like Foe." Feathers ruffled a touch in irritated remembrance. Only his mother called him that.

Butters loved and dreaded History class.
She loved it because she got to learn such awesome facts and come to see how the world was brought to where it was today. The reason why she didn't enjoy it so much was because they had to learn here, not that Mister Elder Man-o-War was mean or wasn't a good teacher, it is just this classroom was stuffy and didn't have enough windows. If they could just go outside and read or take notes Butters would be able to pay so much more attention.
Butters fluttered her wings a bit as she saw all her usual partners pair up with each other. She gave them a smile and waved her fingers at them to show that she wasn't mad.
She loved meeting new people so it wasn't totally unthinkable for Butters to walk up to the pretty snake and the pretty bird(?) and beam at them.
"Hey, do you guys have a third person yet?" Butters kept her smile folded her hands in front of her so she wouldn't flutter her wings again and blow peoples papers around. She has gotten a talking too for all the other times she has done it.
"My name is Butters." She added when she realized that they might not know who she is. This made her blush a bit but her smile stayed where it was.
