I don't know how much use it will be to you now, since so long has past, but I read it, and thought it really made the reader think, but you worded it so it could be understandable to someone who is really into the words you are thinking. I like how in the beginning it kind of sounded like you liked being left behind, but then as it went on it almost turned frantic as you were worried that being left behind wasn't the best option. At least, that's what I got out of it. I still don't understand whether you favor living in the present, or like the safety of yesterday.
