Hmmm... Sam has some good lines in this time.
"He's got us by the short and curlies." XD So, the polite way of saying that Crowley has you by the B@!!$
And he quoted Ghostbusters!! "Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria."
What else did he quote? ....He had another line I knew... Can't remember though. *sigh*

What's with the moster explosion?!?!?!? DX Corny wants to know!!

.....I'll admit, at the end, I almost felt sorry for the dude... Almost. But, that whole thing was just creeper material. *thinks about my dog and shivers*

And that point-blank from Sam at the end... As much as one wishes to slap him, it's rather refreshing to hear him be honest for once.

I can't help but notice that they love ending episodes alongside scenic rivers and lakes X3 Especially when something is being revealed (ei, when Dean revealed that John told him he might have to kill Sam, they were at a river)

I guess there isnt a whole ton you can really say about the episode apart from Sam. As much as I wanna punch the guy in the freaking face, it was so good to hear him actually honest at the end. The tears welled up when he said he didnt care about Ben and Lisa and even Dean, but when he said he wanted to go back to being the old Sam I felt so relieved. I know what he's saying is hurting Dean, but at least he's being honest about it. For once.

I was on tumblr the other night and I couldnt help but notice people slating Jared because of the way Sam is acting. Not everyone is Sam's biggest fan at the minute but I mean, people are actually hating Jared because of what Sam is doing right now. I just had to go off on a rant about it because seriously, why cant people tell the difference between an actor and a character? The whole reason we feel so much love/hate towards Sam at the minute, the reason why everyone is so passionate about him, the reason he makes people cry or sympathize with him, the reason he makes people laugh or the reason he makes people wanna punch him in the face is because Jared is amazing at what he does. The guy is absolutely working his a** off this season because for five years he had to play normal Sam Winchester, and now, he has to play the same character "without a soul". I mean, it doesnt sound like much but it's a big job and he's doing it so well. Some actors would be rubbish at it and they'd just act out the character in pretty much the same way, but with Jared you can actually feel that there's something wrong through the way he acts. So, yeah, I just thought I'd throw that out there because just because Sam is getting under our skin shouldnt give people a reason to hate Jared. We wouldnt feel so much passion for Sam's character if Jared wasnt this good at his job. Jensen and Jared are freakin' amazing at what they do. End of.

Amen sister! You know me, normally I'd go off on a similar rant at this point, but there really is nothing more to say. Jared is doing an amazing job this season, and he deserves praise for it. For him to be able to take a lovable character, our "puppy Sam" for 5 years now, and turn him into a character that is still the same guy, but somehow just makes your skin crawl . . . . that's talent. Both of the boys are very talented, and this season has really allowed Jared especially to shine.

Episode review . . . . . I don't really know what to say. I mean, it was a good episode. I enjoyed it. But there wasn't a whole lot of substance, was there? It was mostly just Sam being a creepy hanging out in a playground with binoculars and switching back and forth between saying, "He's creepy" and "Ok, he's kind of cute" about Lucky.

Then there was the talk in the end, and we pretty much knew everything Sam was saying. It was just him finally owning up to it all. And that's significant and whatnot, but not terribly exciting, you know?

So, all in all, it was a good episode, but might end up being my least favorite episode this season.

Did Sam watch Dean sleep?
That's totally rapey.
And I feel for Sam.
I want the old Sammy back.
The one that gives awesome bitchfaces and the that actually gives a rat's a** about people.
I WANT THE PUPPY BACK!!
I want the brothers to be brothers again.
Jensen and Jared did an amazing job doing this episode.

I told my cat Macey: "Don't kill us in our sleep, kay?"

*end rant*

RANTAGE TIME!:

1. NEW YORK, THE BOYS ARE COMING TO NEW YORK!!!! YAY!!!! .....Why the ******** do they always go to buffalo when they do?? WHY???? There's nothing up there but 5 feet of snow year round! COME TO SOUTHERN NEW YORK BOYS, PLEASE gonk

2. "I dunno Bobby, keep digging" How many times has that EXACT line been said??? Jeez writers ><;; OH AND HAI CROWLEY blaugh

3. rofl Dear lord the writers really are begging for Crowley/Bobby to become real aren't they? D;

4. "You'd sell your brother for a dollar right now if you really needed a soda" LOL FAIL rofl . Sam you're screwed up =P

5. Even while he's burning Sam's hand off, I still heart Crowley. Is that bad?? sweatdrop

6. Uhh..... how does he give a "little" of Sam's soul back? What will that even do? How will Sam change? THIS BOGGLES MY MIND.

7. WHAT NOW SAM??? Mouth breathing what???! Watch your mouth, Robo!Sam before I wash it out with soap!

8. BICEP!PORN AND SLEEPY!DEAN PORN!!! OMFG!! *flail* *explodes*

9. Haha I love how Sam is just "Robo" whatever now =P I keep getting images of the robot in "Get Smart" LOLOLOLOL.

10. IT'S THE DOOOGGGGGG!! Damn you spoilers ><;;;

11. THIS WHOLE SCENE IN THE KITCHEN IS SO AWWWWWKWAAAAARD..... I wanted to skip through it, but the site I'm on won't let me sad I mean jeez, I do NOT like interrogator!Sam. He makes me so uncomfortable sweatdrop

12. Ok..... if my effing DOG turned into a fracking CREEPY NAKED DUDE COVERED IN BLOOD WHO WATCHED ME SLEEP.... no words. just.... gonk gonk gonk
Thanks for the nightmares guys. I'm never looking at dogs the same way ever again. Thank Chuck Louie's not allowed in my room at night sweatdrop

13. SHE'S WEARING THE WHITE DRESS OF DOOM D: I think that only applies to girls the Winchester's have slept with, but still, it's never a good sign ><;;

14. EW PERVY FREAKIN DOG! The writers have killed dogs for me, THEY KILLED CATS FOR ME IN EPISODE 6 AND NOW DOGS. WHAT'S NEXT?? gonk

15. I don't know why but I laughed so hard when Sam casually told Dean to shove Mandy in the trunk. LOL WTF SAM?? Normal people, even hunters, don't do that! *facepalm* I love when Dean says he can do it, Sam just nods and walks away and Dean basically looks like "I can't believe he took me seriously" lol.

16. Doesn't Sam realize that if she WAS the alpha werewolf, most likely he'd KNOW and not be living some normal life? That doesn't even make sense.

17. Sam. Standing in a playground. At night. Watching a woman through a window. Wow. Well that might just pass the time he watched Meg change her clothes, on the creep-o meter Sam.

18. I like how simple they depict the transformation from the dog to the guy. Simple camera shots, but effective.

19. Huh. I just realized that Dean slept in the wrong bed this episode. He was in the bed furthest from the door, when normally he's the closest. That's just..... weird O__o *does not like*

20. LOL I got a image of Sam going by the tree and turning into a dog too XDDDDDD

21. OH POOR PERVY DOGGIE! D: (edt: why does everything in this show get hit by mini vans? lol, First Dean, now the poor dog/skin-walker/pervy-dude-thing)

22. Ew, Dean added Gwen to his contacts ><; (aw though at poor Dean still wanting to call Lisa sad Poor guy, finally got a real gf and now he can't have her *saddness* )

23. And this part of the episode shall be titled "Sam and Dean adopt a dog" LOL.

24. LMAO @ Dean holding the choker chain up. LOL poor skinwalker. And they keep calling him Lucky roflolol =P

25. Forward!Sam irks me too. Really. Badly.... thoughts of kinky skinwalker... do not want burning_eyes Sam's a real a*****e too. Urg, I can't take his character anymore, he's so screwed up. I hate it sad

26. Wait, the guy was a homeless guy? And they turned him? WTF, well... skinwalker idea win O_O

27. *is truamatized to go near my dog* gonk Well the angle is pretty impressive, I must say.

28. WTF IS WITH SAM AND THE BALL AND WHY WON'T HE STOP BEING A MORON? He's irking me stare

29. Um... I'm confused. When the skinwalker said "Fetch this, d**k." I was waiting for him to.... I dunno, do something? Attack? Break out? ....but... nothing :Stare:

30. OOH SHINY SEXY GUN biggrin

31. Love when Dean basically plays out what he's thinking to Sam, because basically it's what Sam should be feeling by intuition, but he's not. The confused look on Sam's face is priceless. He isn't Sam. Without your intuition and compassion, you're just not human. It's like someone literally made a robot of Sam. It's just no the same confused (EDIT: rofl I just realized the boys had a heart-felt talk under a bridge  How typical xDD)

32. BADASS!SNIPER!DEAN IS BADASS! cool

33. "Take it anyway" I HATE YOU SAM, YOU SICK b*****d! Yes, let's kill the innocent woman and her child, of course, a*****e stare

34. AWWWWW POOR LUCKY sad

35. Oh she ain't ever gonna let you back in hon, sorry sad And seriously, what a b***h. I mean aside from him being pervy and watching you shower, he really wasn't that .bad. He even saved her and her sons life. sad Poor guy went from homeless to stray. Sad.

36. "Like Lisa and Ben.... I've been acting like I care about them.... But I don't. I couldn't care less" WOW SAM. JUST. WOW. JUST. talk2hand

37. "I should probably go back to being him" NO s**t SHERLOCK stare

Well in summary, definitly not one of my favorite episodes. I literally fell asleep during it last night, how sad is that? I'm just not feeling the myth this year, with getting "Sam" back. I think it's because I always said the show wouldn't be right is they ever lost Sam or Dean, and well, we basically lost Sam this season. It's not the same show anymore. I'm still hooked, but the love I had for it is waning. It's depressing. I just want the boys to be the boys again. I want to stop hating on Sam every episode. I want Dean to be carefree like he was in season 1 and 2. I just *sigh* miss what we had sad

Kripke, please write/direct a episode soon and fix this mess, I'm begging you dude. We miss you, sincerely sad

You know what, I kind of agree with Punky on this one. I want Kripke to come back to fix this mess. Something just isnt right this season. I mean, I get what they're doing with Sam. I get it. He went to Hell, Crowley is king of hell and took Sam's soul so he could hold something against them to work for him. It makes sense. But, something still doesnt feel right about this season. Maybe it's because we're aware that Kripke isnt the main man anymore, and that just goes against Supernatural religion basically. But I mean, maybe Kripke was right to step down. Maybe he was right wanting to end it at season 5. I mean, yes, I would have been depressed. BEYOND depressed because quite frankly, I never want the show to end. But if you re-watch the season five finale and take off the part about Sam coming back and everything, it's a bittersweet ending. It isnt a perfect, happy ending. It's an ending you would expect from Supernatural. Sometimes part of me wishes that had been the ending.

But then again, part of me still wants to keep watching. Kripke did say, "I'm going to be writing a few episodes in season six, and I'll direct one. I'll still be here." It might all come together and it might make sense. Maybe this not-feeling-it kind of feeling that I think all of us are feeling right now is just supposed to happen and maybe it's happening for a really good reason. I hope it's happening for a really good reason.

I'm holding out and just waiting to see what happens. I mean, I'll never lose my love for Supernatural because this show, I've realized after the convention and all, has given me so much more than just entertainment when watching an episode. So much more than that. And for that reason, I do not want to see it go down hill. I'm keeping my faith in the writers, for now, anyway. I'm sure Kripke will be there, somewhere, and he'll keep them right.. right?

Edit: Egads this is long! Sorry guys. sweatdrop

I kind of agree with Punky and Panda, but I also kind of disagree. I mean, I really do miss the Sam and Dean from seasons 1 and 2. They were a lot more light hearted and care free (Well, as care free as our SPN boys could EVER be, which really isn't all that care free when you think about it, but still...), and as a result of that, I think they were just a lot more fun in general.

But at the same time, I mean, we all enjoyed the story told in seasons 1-5, right? We liked the angels. We liked Lucifer. We liked Sam's dark and mysterious destiny that he fought since season 1. And I think it's safe to say, we're all glad that those things happened.

But then, all those things had their price. Dean had to go to hell for us to get angels, and that really took a toll on both Sam and Dean.
Lucifer, the father of sin and prince of darkness, pretty much the ultimate bad guy, had to be defeated, and that had to come at a price.
Sam's dark and mysterious destiny had to be confronted at some point, either with him giving into it or him going head on with it and coming out as a good guy. We got the preferred confrontation with that, but it required the ultimate sacrifice from him, which left us without a Sam.

Now we're left with two choices. We can either end the story or continue, but with a big mess to clean up as far as the brothers go. Honestly, I think I would have been OK with either option. Like Panda said, the ending of season 5 would have been a good end to the series. However, I do love the idea of getting to see Sam and Dean battle evil a bit more.

Problem is, now we have this huge mess to clean up, and I don't think it's an easy fix. I mean, they could have brought Sam back with his soul, then we'd just have damaged post-hell Sam, which would kind of just be a re-hashing of the damaged post-hell Dean story. I think, in order to keep it interesting, they have to keep the mess. And in order to keep it as Supernatural, they have to keep the mess. I just really don't see any way they could get Sam and Dean back to how they were in seasons 1-3. They're just too damaged. But obviously, we want to see some healing going on, and I think that the way they're going about it is going to allow for the most realistic healing to take place.

When Sam gets his soul back, he'll have had some soulless time to cope with what happened to him in hell, and I think that might help make it have less of an affect on him, but he'll have to deal with all the emotional baggage of what he did when he didn't have a soul. I think that will give us some nice angst, but it won't be the re-hashing of an old story.
As for Dean, it would have just seemed too neat for me if Sam had come back and he and Dean had been all BFFs right from the get go. I would have been highly suspicious of that. However, this is story is allowing Dean to get used to the idea of having his brother back, while also setting him up to be wary of Sam long enough after he gets his soul back to actually be a realistic sort of reunion.

Of course, I think it will take Dean some time to trust Sam once he has his soul back, and I really want to see the brothers as BROTHERS again before the end of this season, so I hope Sam gets his soul back in episode 10 or 11. I think it would be a great way to kick off the winter hiatus, giving us fans a bit of a treat and making us want to come back to see happy Sam and Dean after the break. I definitely think dragging out soulless Sam for the entire season would be a mistake, and I know the writers listen to the fans, so I hope they're listening now. Give us back Sam's soul. SOON!

Also, on the subject of the show runner changing . . . . . I've heard a lot of people say, "You can tell Kripke's not in charge anymore" or "I wish Kripke was back to fix everything," but I think a lot of that is just imagined stuff coming from the fans.

I agree that the show feels different, but I think that's because we've got an entirely new mythology arc we're working on, not necessarily because Kripke's not the show runner. One of the biggest changes I've seen are that the show mythology isn't centered around the Winchesters anymore (as in the whole destiny thing). That's something that really hasn't happened since the end of season 2. It's actually just like season 1 in that sense, but it's something we're not used to anymore. We're going back to the beginning of a story, but we're also in the middle of the story of our guys, so it's obviously going to feel different there.

As for Kripke coming back to fix things, he IS still actively working on the show. He was in the writer's room breaking at least the first 6 episodes with everyone else, and he checked over all those scripts. I mean, Kripke may not be the show runner anymore, but he's still there and he's still keeping anything he doesn't want to happen from happening.

I just think a lot of people know Sara is the show runner now, so they expect things to have a different feel to them and end up seeing that a lot more than they would if they didn't know.
I'm not saying there isn't a different feel to the show. Just that maybe it's not as big of a difference as people seem to think it is . . . .
But that's just my crazy rambling opinion . . . . .

I agree with what you're saying. I dont want the show going back to the season 1-2 days, because as you said, I liked what happened through seasons 1-5. I loved the angels, I loved Lucifer, and I loved the whole Adam thing. And I agree with you that Sam coming back from Hell all fine and dandy wouldnt have made much sense at all. It made sense that he came back soulless and now Crowley has a hold over them, it makes sense and its a good plot. But I also agree, I hope they dont drag the whole soulless thing out. Because I dont want the show going down hill. It's not good when they drag things out for too long, and I dont think they'll be stupid enough to make that mistake.

I actually totally agree with what you're saying now. The whole thing about, this plot being the most realistic approach for them and the whole new mythology arc - it makes sense, actually. I think maybe we're too early yet for this new direction to totally feel right. But I think if the writers do a good job of it, it'll go right and all of the stuff is happening for a good reason. There have been a lot of times in the early days of a certain plot we all havent felt right about, but it gradually starts to make sense. I get what you mean about people noticing things a lot more than they would now since they know Kripke isnt the main man anymore. When you think about it, he is still there and it isnt much of a difference. I mean, maybe we dont give these writers enough credit sometimes. It's not like Sara is someone completely new taking over the whole show. All of them have been in it the whole time and everything has turned out well so far. So, we just gotta have faith in them for the rest of season 6. As you said, the writers do listen to the fans.

So, yeah, I actually agree with what you're saying Garra 3nodding

ahhhh I dont feel like reading all what everyone else typed. haha I scanned a little bit though. Hear I go:

1. It wasnt like a super epic amazing episode or anything, but it was good enough.
Didnt feel like typing much myself last night so I didnt bother to come in here, though there's not much to say. LOL I think Garra said it when she put it this way: "It was mostly just Sam being a creepy hanging out in a playground with binoculars and switching back and forth between saying, "He's creepy" and "Ok, he's kind of cute" about Lucky. "
haha so true.
I'll elaborate on Sam I suppose.

2. He definitely was creepy as usual. Man does he give you bad vibes just watching him. He's so cold blooded. He scares me. gonk
But on the bright side I'm happy he's finally not pretending that everything is all good and normal and Dean can trust him. rolleyes
He told it straight up. So good at least he admits it.

3. Though what he said about not caring about Ben and Lisa, I could seriously tell that already. Just some of the comments he'd make. Like when Dean left them the first time, all he could say was " oh well it's probably the best anyways." I could tell he couldn't sympathize and it made no difference to him in the first place. He just needed Dean's undivided help on hunts. Family was a distraction for Dean ..that's how Sam probably saw it anyway.

4. People are stupid if they are gonna hate on Jared because of something his character is doing. I mean it's not him doing it, if you gotta bone to pick with someone go look at the writers. I mean sheesh. Cant they tell the difference between a fictional character and an actual person. I dont get some fans. mad

5. Random: OKAY Sam with that ball!? ROFL what the heck was he doing?? I mean has he lost it? He kept whistling at the skin walker and waving the ball like it was gonna morph into a dog really quick and suddenly want to play catch. Like Dean said "Not helping Sam!" *shakes head* lol

6. Okay good I wasnt the only one who kinda halfway sympathized for the skin-walker. I mean yea it was terrible he killed some people, but I thought it was sweet how he protected the family.

Still, cant blame the lady for closing the door on him. I mean yea he saved them, but still that has to be a shock. You had this "thing" in your house as your family pet who was really a disguised half-man monster that murdered your boyfriend. A bit traumatizing.

Also, the scene where he watches the woman get in the shower was was so creepy. mean wow pervy doggy much? Glad I dont have a dog cuz I"d be giving him funny looks right now... gonk

7.Okay I cracked up for the longest at the promo for next week "Fight the fairies!! Fight the fairies" ROFL rofl rofl Oh god..... rofl rofl
