*I...I dont even know what to say!
I'm just like HOW COW I wasnt expecting any of that. User Image

I'm actually kinda speechless.

I mean it was Crowley??! This whole freaking time? That was sorta staring us in the face but it was completely unexpected. .

And Christian was possessed the whole time??! hmmp, that kinda explains a lot.... (Heh, remember I had said Gwen reminded me of a woman possessed, though I never thought about Christian confused )

So much trickery and secrets from all sides tonight it's amazing.

omg I'm not even coherent enough to properly comment .. lol talk about bomb drops tonight

~~

EDIT: Wait a minute here...okay Crowley said Christian had been possessed for ages right? I'm figuring that means a long time.

Sooo how come when Christian burst into the room while Cas was checking Samuel's soul, Cas didnt seem to notice anything about him?
Cas should have been able to see the demon's true face right? I mean if he was possessed at that time. And that's assuming that when Crowley said "ages" he didnt mean just a an hour earlier.. confused
Anyways I just thought about that.

I'm going to follow pattern here and just say . . . . . I don't even know what to say!

Ok, not true. There are a few comments I'd like to share.

1. Christian is finally dead!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! Oh man, this whole episode, I was just begging for someone to kill the guy, especially when he made that crack about Lisa. I'm going, "Shoot him Dean! Do it!" And when they were wandering through the hallways looking for the alpha, my friend and I just knew his death was imminent.
At first, he was wandering alone, and we were like, "Yes, he's on his own! He's done for," but then he made it back to the group alive. Then he was hanging around in the back, and I was literally yelling at the screen, "Kill him! Kill him! Kill! Kill! Kill!" Honestly, the neighbors probably heard us and were like, WTF?
Of course, then we found out he was a demon, and the fact that he was a complete b*****d made a whole lot more sense, but still. . . . . glad he's gone. At least for a while, anyway.

2. I'm actually liking Gwen more now. I mean, I get it. She's not a b***h. She's just bitter because Grandpa refuses to treat her like one of the guys. That I understand. And other than her callous attitude towards Dean, she's not bad. She's sarcastic, loyal, and tough. I give her props for not outing Dean to Grandpa Campbell on the hunt, as well as for chewing him out when she found out about Crowley. Still not my favorite person on the planet, but I like her a lot more now.

3. Heh. Cas has teeth marks on his belt now. xd

4. Crowley . . . . . I love that demon. I mean, I also kind of really hate him for stealing Sam's soul, but I still love him. Favorite quote from this week's episode:
Dean: "You guys knew each other?"
Crowley: "Well, not in the biblical sense..."
rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl
(btw, for anyone not up on biblical lingo, when the bible says, "so-and-so knew so-and-so," it means they had sex.)

5. Sam and Dean . . . . . What is there to say there, really? I mean, I know Dean still doesn't trust Sam, which is super sad, but . . . . well, he kind of trusts him a bit right now, and Sam is actually realizing that he's not right and following Dean's lead on some things. Yeah, there's still a lot of issues between them, but they're on the mend. They're at least closer to what they were before.

6. Purgatory? Why the hell do monsters go to Purgatory when they die? Theologically speaking, Purgatory is a place/state of cleansing before entering heaven. Why would monsters end up there? It just really doesn't make sense to me . . . . . I mean, Limbo would have been a better idea if they wanted some in-between heaven and hell place. I take issue with this, as the lore is just completely off. Hopefully I'll get used to it in a little while, or this is just going to be one supremely frustrating season.

*flails in circles*

I don't even know where to start with this....

Actually, no, I do:

CROWLEY!!!! I HAVE MUCH EPIC LOVE FOR YOU BOSS DUDE!!!!!!!

And of course I love Cas, who now has more bite marks in his belt!!!

So Crowley had Sam's soul all along, which I kind of figured part way through the episode, but like Garra said I don't get the thing with Purgatory, Limbo was my first guess and would have made more sense..... we'll have to see where Gamble goes with this won't we.

Also, Christian is a demon, Cas you FAIL at spotting that (plothole writers, fail!). Other than that all I have is epic flailing of epicness.... There's not much more to say to it all.

Crowley got all the best lines too. ALL THE BEST LINES! That demon OWNS the best lines. I love him!!!

5. "Of course, your problems always come first" DID YOU SEE THAT? DID YOU ACTUALLY SEE THAT? CAS WAS TEARING UP! HE ACTUALLY WAS!! I get that Dean is pissed about Sam and all that but seriously, poor Cas!! He cant do everything!!
6. Oh Samuel you're an a**, Dean is more trustworthy than YOU AND SAM.
7. Samuel's hiding something, I FEEL IT TOO DEAN.
8. Christian looks like a smug p***k.
9. OMG CHRISTIAN YOU COMPLETE A-HOLE IJDOIFJSOFJ scream Dean should have just beat the crap out of him for saying that.

18. Samuel wants to know where Purgatory is??? WTF? dont go all LOST on us.
19. Ugh christian, samuel, gwen, just DIE.
20. IS THAT MARK? what ever happened to mark. he was the sweet quiet one.
21. YES CHRISTIAN DIE.
22. WHAT THE ******** CHRISTIAN IS A DEMON??!?!?!??!
23. CROWLEY!!!!!
24. samuel is crowley's b***h.. and samuel set them up!?!?
25. CROWLEY PULLED SAM BACK!?!?!?!?
26. Crowley is so freakin' badass. I LOVE HIM.
27. "girls, money.. hair" rofl rofl
28. CROWLEY IS DA MAAAN.

Okay so that episode cleared up a hell of a lot but it also raised a whole new pile of questions. And seriously, am I the only one who feels sorry for Cas?!? He was definitely tearing up right before he left, I mean seriously, the little guy tries his best. But lol Cas has bite marks in his belt.

To sum up what I thought:

- people need to stop being mean to cas.
- I feel less scared/confused now that I know crowley is in charge.
- I still hate christian, samuel and gwen.
- yay for sam choosing dean in the end.

The whole thing about purgatory depends on your sources I suppose. I've always heard purgatory was essentially the same thing as limbo. Depending on the source they found, it's either the place repentant souls go to be purified or where those who belong in neither heaven nor hell go for tempral punishment to be endured forever. However, after looking around there isn't much info about where the souless would go, so they probably found an idea and ran with it. It wouldn't be the first time SPN varied a little from the customs. *cough*vampiresinsunlight*cough* X3

Edit: Ok, so before you read this, I would like to clarify that I'm not attacking you here. I'm just a bit peeved at the SPN writers for this and I think my post may have come out a bit harsher than I intended. Please don't take offense at it. I've just had a LOT of arguments with people on what Purgatory is over the years, so I think this topic is hitting a bit to close to home with me. sweatdrop

Thing is, if there are sources saying that Purgatory is a place to endure temporal punishment for all eternity . . . . well, that doesn't really make sense. Temporal punishment is temporary (by the definition of temporal), not eternal.

I'm sure there are a lot of different sources on what Purgatory is, but a lot of that comes from the fact that most people (including the Catholics who are supposed to believe in it) don't really understand what Purgatory is exactly. However, the word Purgatory means purification (or purging), which really strongly implies (if not dictates) that it is a temporal place.

I dunno. I'm probably taking issue with this a lot more than I should be, but it does kind of bug me. I mean, so far, I've been really impressed with how the SPN writers have been able to take actual Christian beliefs and give them an interesting and unexpected twist, while still staying true to a lot of the core teachings they're drawing from. (Example: angels being terrifying warriors, not diapered babies with wings) Even the stuff with Revelations was a break from how a lot of Christian traditions see that book, but it was still close enough to seem believable. This thing with Purgatory just isn't for me . . . . .
Really, I have no problem with SPN giving monsters their own afterlife. I just wish they didn't call it Purgatory. Unless, of course, monsters are supposed to be purified there and become good guys. I guess that's an option, but it doesn't seem particularly likely with how they've described it so far . . . . .

Well, to be fair, dying in sunlight wasn't always a trait of vampires. Dracula could walk in the sun all he wanted without dying. He was just weakened by the sun. Supernatural vamps can walk in the sun, but it does weaken them (it hurts and gives them a bad sunburn), so I really don't consider that a huge departure or anything.

1. Ohh hahah man you know that hadnlt clicked with me yet. I still hadnt gotten over the fact he was a demon I kinda forgot he got killed..technically.

So no wonder he was such a jerk, he was a demon. That really does make more since.

So wait is Christian Gwen's brother? or just his cousin as well?

Well anyways it's kinda ironic how he's sitting in the midst of a bunch of hunters... a lot of them supposed to be his own family and they dont notice he's a bit off? Wooowww

2. I get exactly where you are coming from about Gwen. She seemed more personable in this episode and I actually warmed up to her a bit. You know?

She was less creepy in general lol. And like you said she could have ratted Dean out but she didnt. So yea she's a bit more tolerable.

That's what I said!!! What the heck!!? There was an angel in the room!!

That made no sense it's such a huge plothole! That really does fail.

Plus they still have the ongoing plothole on how Cas can suddenly find the boys effortlessly despite the sigil on their ribs. It's like they totally forgot about that. *facepalm*

Wait what he did? I didnt notice... I need to watch that again...
if soo awwwww sad

But yea I agree. Dean is way too bossy towards Cas. What ? he expects him to drop everything in heaven and just help him? I mean he's nice enough to help where he can, Dean doesnt have to be so bossy. Cas doesnt have a clear schedule like last season where he had no choice but to help.

Dean is treating him like he was treating Bobby, the whole "Do-this-for-me-now-kay-bye" attitude. Very ungrateful. *shakes head*
