Mac has some good programs for Video Editing.
Try finding one that fits your preferences and Start using it.

One that my school uses is Imovie I don't use mac much so I don't know how the editors work but I've seen some AMV's made with this one mac program they were pro xd
If I remember the name of it I can tell you!

From what I've heard the mac is actually the most used computer platform for in movie production because the programs it has for video editing are high quality. Here's a program that I have heard a lot about... But maybe it is pre-installed on macs since it's on the apple website? I don't know because macs are close to a new language for me...

Yeah, a lot of people on forums said it was good and I have seen some really nice AMVs made with it.
