Luinanu walked through the mines. There was supposed to be an exit around here that emerged directly out to the mountains. He ran his hand through his white hair and murmured to the bird, "Can you feel anything? A breeze? A draft?" He asked calmly. He did not like the mines much but he did not make a fuss about it. This was a needed rout he had to take. The bird let out a soft coo, 'No dear Luin. I have not. But something does not seem to be right.' Luin rolled his eyes and chuckled softly, "Oh poor poor soti. You think everything does not seem right." The bird dug it's talons into his shoulder, 'I'm serious!'

Xigfried watched the trespassers from above in the darkness pulling a chain from his coat he clipped it into a hook and dropped down, silent as death, with his scythe in hand as the toxic fumes drafted along the roof of the cave. he felt in the water along the cave floor and found a chord and yanked it. clanking noises came from the caves walls as poison tipped needles darted forth form them

Luinanu let out a groan. So the one time Soti was right he just had to ignore the bird. Curse his luck. He performed a spell that made a huge tree around them to protect the from the needles. The fumes were starting to get to his head as well. Now he not only had the toxicity of this place to worry about, but someone trying to kill them. He cleared his throat. "I mean you no harm! I am merely an elven healer. If you let me pass i will do something for you! A favor if you will."

a soft crowd of voices echoed through the cave "turn back, turn back" the voices grew louder and louder and the tree began to corrode and wilt away ad the poison took effect. using the chain again Xigfried ascended to the ceiling and pulled another rope triggering the natural vents inside the cave to release more of the fumes. "turn back, turn back!" the voices echo

Soti cawed for luin to get out but if there was one thing he had in common with his dear older brother was that he was not keen on backing down. Especially when he had come this far, "Please. I'd rather not. I swear i mean not harm." He coughed a bit.

Xigfried plunged down from the cloud of the dross gasses standing before this interloper. he bore his scythe in hand listening as the wails of mephidross nagged the person on to turn back. his blue eye somehow shining in the pitch-blackness of the cave gleamed not only with power, but with fear. he dreged towards the person his chains rattling moving somewhat like a zombie, slow and limping somewhat

Luin ignored his fear and soti's squawking, and walked forward a few steps. He couldn't tell if this person was hurt or not and he was slightly worried, "D-Do you need help? You look like your in pain."

he raised his scythe to the intruder and as he drew neared the stench of the gas intensified and the echoes got louder and louder drilling into the person's head as if the voices were his own. he muttered softly with somewhat of a wheeze to his voice "begone" he swung his scythe and a gust of razor like wind erupted forth ing the cave blowing the fallen darts and water from the cave floor toward the traveler

Luin once again used his magic to make a tree to protect him. He was almost on the verge of tears, "Please! I just want to help. I can't stand it when people are suffering. What do i have to do to get you to understand that!"

he rushed forward in an instant dicing the tree like a small union, as his blade gleamed in a small beam of light from the outside he swung repetitively at the outsider getting closer and closer with every slash. "begone!" he yelled his voice booming throughout the cave as a swarm of bats rushed around them

Luin finally listened to the mysterious being, but not in the way he wanted. "Fine!" He ran towards his and dodged past him. He ran further into the mine. Soti followed closely behind. Luin was always getting them into trouble like this, 'This is dumb!' Soti screamed in his head.

he turns suddenly and rushed after him with startling speed, no one knew the caves better then he did. he pulled his scythe apart using the chained increments throwing them to get faster by latching to the cave walls and propelling himself past the intruder. "you wont leave here alive" he said softly as he attacked the man with ferocity

Luin skidded to a slight halt and ran into another tunnel. Why was this guy so bent on killing him just for passage? He ran into a dead end. Crap. He fell to the floor coughing and gagging. The toxins were finally taking their toll on him. "S-Soti...go." The bird wanted to stay but he knew that would make luin feel awful if he got hurt for his sake, 'I'll remember you luin.' The bird thought to him and flew away.

he caught up with the traveler grabbing him by his collar and dragging him off into the twisted coils of the mephidross mines where his voice would join the others warning those who enter to turn back less they suffer the same fate. Xigfried coughing the whole way back to his makeshift command room.
