SkylarSerenityStone
Four AM sharp and Skye's alarm rang as it usually did. There really was little use in her waking up so early, but she had fallen into such an easy routine in her apprentice days that she just didn't feel like moving out of it even when she had earned the comforting title of 'Slayer'. Of course, there was an extension rather than that one word, but she wasn't very tolerable of people calling her a 'Demon Slayer' or something of the sort. Little things like that made her tick, and like a bomb all it took was the slightest poke and she would explode into a tantrum.
Skye had awaken before her alarm had sounded, so she was already up on her feet and getting ready when it did finally drag attention to itself. Sighing, she walked briskly back into her room, clicking off the clock and rushing back into the bathroom connected to the dark room, holding her hair up behind her head with a comb slipped between her teeth. She let the comb drop to the counter and finished tying up her hair, and putting on what little make-up she bothered with that morning. Today was the day she was going to meet her new 'apprentice.'. She didn't feel as if she would be impressing them, so her looks were the least of her concerns.
At first, she had laughed. It was silly to think, for her, that anyone would want to work along side her. But Skylar Stone had become a somewhat popular name and she knew things like this would eventually start happening, even though she liked to keep her slaying abilities private. Word got out. Yet, they failed to tell her whether this person had chosen her specifically, or if he were merely placed with her. Either way, she figured she would have to act obliged, no matter what she actually felt. The meeting was to take place sometime today at a coffee shop she would undoubtedly be walking to. And, since this was her first real 'apprentice' and she knew little to nothing about him or her ( they hadn't even gone as far as to mention the gender of the student ) , she was feeling the tiniest bit nervous.
Skye finished up around six and headed for the shop at seven. A long walk resulting in her getting there later than planned, but she doubted anyone would show up earlier than nine, as she had been told to be there by ten. What she was worried about was having some time to herself, so when she got there she immediately ordered a coffee and a small breakfast for herself, grabbing a window sit and beginning her short meal as she awaited the arrival or her new apprentice. How she dreaded this day.
