Bio: Regan hails from a well known family of good standing and wealth. However, her mother (who comes from a long line of swordsmen) has made sure that the wealth does not spoil her family. They keep a minimum number of servants, to allow the two children (twins) in the family to do chores and know what it means to keep a tidy house, as well as work. Their mother spends plenty of time with her children, teaching them the way of the sword and the honor that comes with it, and of kindness, to always help their fellow man.
Their father, who hails from Germany, owns a successful business, the source of the family's wealth. In setting a good example for his children, and making his wife proud, he makes sure his business runs only on the best, most personable practices. He has the power and the position to do good, so he does just that. His employees are paid well, and goods are priced reasonably, with an emphasis on customer support. The reason the company is so astoundingly successful is because of their upstanding business practices, combined with an absolutely brilliant Head of R&D. His work is astounding.
Regan shows promise in her family swordstyle, but her mother realized she would need to be educated properly if she were to stand a chance in the world. The echos of sexism still sound, and she would need to be more rounded out, not just a skilled swordsman, lest she be looked down upon. So, she was sent to Mahora, a place her mother knew would be able to provide everything she needs.
