Personality: Koinu being in a wolf pack has the most indispensable personality trait to exist as part of a group so he gets along well with his squad and on missions with others. it's not very hard for him to form a attachment to others in the slightest, at least during a mission. The presence of an understood hierarchy serves the crutial purpose of elimating conflict. Like a wolf to Koinu, this enhances enhances their survival during any situation by a uknown percentage. Koinu is capable of talking but he rarely doesn't unless he just happens to be fond of you. He would rather use sign language or facial expressions to actually get his point across but he doesn't take to well to being called names or insults either for that matter. If you approach him in such a way then you will be met with a very rude choice of words. At first glance, Koinu seems to be an aloof, distant individual who always keeps his cool. Koinu takes great pride in being a wolf(to a certain extent that he thinks he is). Despite being of a calm disposition, he can have a somewhat temper and tends to be impulsive, acting mainly on his instinct in certain situation which can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Koinu thinks with his heart rather than his head, which can put him into life-threatening danger that he seems to always get out of. Call it a wolf's luck if you will. He is willing to save and protect his comrades from danger but they have to prove that they will not just be trampled all over. There are times when he is arrogant about his own skill but that could come from him being a lone-wolf at one part of his life.
To be heard, there is no specific way to describe Koinu if you are not relating it to a wolf. His personality never stays the same upon meeting him which is similar to how no wolf is the same as another. It can vary from all kinds of things because he was gifted with the multiple personality disorder. You figure someone would say suffer if they were referring to a disease but his is rather strange. His does not have an off switch nor do the personalities distinguish themselves as one separate being. Instead, they all look at themselves as one fusion of mental persona. Dreams to achieve power, life itself, they all just have no meaning to him. There is only one thing that plagues the psyche of Koinu and that is desire. Now what the desire may be, just like his personality, depends on the current situation at hand. However despite this strange trait, he is a fan boy of warmth. He likes when affection is given to him but do not think of him as desperate, he will not waste his time to seek it out. But, strangely the snuggling or fingers ran through his hair is all too settling. If he has even taken an interest in you, you will know right off the back. Hesitation does not run through this antsy individual and he will go far as to lick the face of another which can probably come from being raised by wolves. What does Koinu appreciate in life? Once again, you are not paying attention if you need an answer to this question. There is no one specific thing, it’s a gaggle of things that he appreciates but it depends on the time. He was and never will be one to intentionally try and outshine others however; his skill and way of speech would deny such a statement.
Do say a jar filled with the words wise beyond his days would be a good fit. He has a perceptive and indulgent understanding of how another person thinks through body language, expression, pattern movement, way of speech, just about anything your body subconsciously does reveals a piece of the person. A language that he has deciphered if you will would be the best way to describe it. So, without even having a exchange of words with another would not stop what you reveal to him. With little details such as this, he will use it against you in a fight to play the utmost ugly mind tricks. As long as he succeeds in fulfilling the desire for that given time. He will bend his own personality to fit that will and even make you bend yours without you even being aware of it. No other can tell you when your desire is filled only you can, which is why he prides himself in such a way. The pride of a wolf if you will. Clemency has not surfaced like it should have to another. It tails right along with his desire. If he wishes to make you suffer at that given time, no matter how much stronger he is than you, he will make you undergo physical and mental pain no matter what his orders were. If his aspiration is to cease your existence quickly: than he will do so. Your life merely hangs on the mood that he is in. If you are to combat Koinu, you only have two choices, the first, simply run away. If you do not take the primary choice which is the smart decision, you will find yourself thrown in the world of the second choice. Fighting for your life to continue and trying to crack the jigsaw puzzle of just what goes on through the mind of Koinu, the mind of an animal. You think you can ignore his mental stability but even he isn’t aware that it draws you in and makes you wonder about it. Weaklings, the strong, the average, they all provide what Koinu seeks, that is entertainment. It fills his throbbing desire, closing in on it like a missile. The stronger the opponents the more he will learn what his own limits are because he has yet to actually see it. No one has yet survived that long with him to get a full grasp of his actual potential. So he longs to recognize it which is why all combatants are viewed as amusing leisure. His desire is what he prides more than his fighting ability because it is that desire that has pushed him beyond his power limit. He is just not your ordinary individual in the slightest.
Just like his fluttering personalities mixed into one, his zanjutsu, and just raw skill can be described the same way. A combination of many thing is the most accurate to go about it. He has no foreboding with even making you think that you have the upper hand just to turn it around on you and crush your resolve to fight. Not only is he a master of the blade, but more so potent, he is a master of versatility. The change that cycle through his mind is faster than that of a clock ticking second by second. It just constantly changes. He even dares go so far as to label his style through the different weathers that exist. However, he has been known to lie about what weather matches his fighting style just to throw his opponent off. Are there flaws in his technique? Of course there is but not one that his enemy may see, he makes his own flaws and he will do it on prose to make things more entertaining for his own desire. His defense is also very all-around, resourceful, and multi-purpose if you will. He is blindly and comfortably a dirty fighter and why shouldn’t he be? He primes himself on the rule that no one should fight clean if a person is trying to kill you. You do anything by all means necessary to win or in his case, fulfill his throbbing desire.
Is it possible to shake Koinu’s resolve absolutely not and for one reason alone? His resolve is to not be shaken up. Over the years he has build up an immunity to just that and it has gotten to a level where he doesn’t even know how to be afraid even when the person can easily show how much stronger they are than him. He has conquered himself ages ago before he dare learn anything about wielding weapons because people usually defeat themselves. So though it was never his goal to become the strongest, he has been doing that ever since he could stand on his own two legs. To label it down to the core, Koinu is a formless wolf.
Physical Appearance: Underneath Koinu’s black/silverish ashen kosode is his white and platinum shitagi or better known as his under-gi that seems to be like garments made from feather concerning how buoyant it is. It fits to his body like it happens to be an extension of his skin. His hakama of course is jet black, the standard look of all of shinigami except being cut slightly at the bottom and at the tips it has the color of snow streaks at the bottom of it. His hakama himo is a silk texture and milk in color adding to his unique and impressive style. It’s larger then others because he can also use it to fight which goes right along with his formless hidden martial art. Unlike others it isn’t used to keep his garments fitted because they already stick to his body without the help of this accessory. It could be compared to glue if you will or tights that have a enhanced feel of comfort. Whoever designed Koinu's shinigami garments devised them for the most agile and speedy of movements. They have little protection in terms of armor and it would feel to him as if he barely has anything on. This is perfect for anyone who is now or formerly was apart of the second division. If not the second division then just a hakuda specialist in general.
His tabi worn are ashen/gray in color just as most other soldiers with in the soul society though in times they are opted for a bright white color to match his hair. His waraji are the normal brown, tannic color that resembles the finest sands. Koinu has lavender/lilac male orbs that just scream out for attention and from the way his eyes are half hazard closed, it roars with seductively on even the normal looks that he gives. They seemed to glow like the radiance from a amethyst jewel of rarity from a digging event. It’s kind of a weird look because it almost appears as if he has no hues but if you look closely then the glimmer of white can be seen with in them. It’s a very exclusive look indeed. They can stare and if first meeting him its hard to discern his thoughts. By far, he is classified as sort of a pretty boy because of his look. His hair if combed down would reach the middle of his back but due to unknown reasons, Koinu’s hair looks as if the wind fell in love with it and constantly blows it. This could be just the way his natural hair looks or from other mysterious reasons that will never be revealed. His hair is a mixture of two colors and oddly, he was born like this. They say it is due to him being born underneath a snowstorm. Most of the hair is hoary but not your normal silver. Its more of a two toned platinum that can be compared directly to the moonlight snow storm. With in that blizzard are streaks of white tresses all through out it. On the tips it is of a brighter silver color and one would think it was dyed but this is still his natural hair color. This appears to be in the front while the back is made up of darker and flowing streaks of the purest platinum.
His build could be compared to a person who regular works out and perfect for the captain of the second division and leader of the Onmitsukio. He is lean and underneath his light garments his body seems to be very impressively chiseled for optimizing the most power, control, and flexibility for hand to hand combat in which he is by far a master in. His muscles don’t look overly worked he just is impressively toned for a man of his lean stature. He is a little taller then average height for a male but being fit helps a lot. Koinu’s complexion is a peach tan in color. His skin is very soft to the touch in appearance giving on the added bishounen effect. On his right ear is a earring at the bottom of his ear and midway to the top giving off the rock star look. On the arms under his garments are wraps that are the same color as his garments. This is merely used for fashion. Koinu’s look is certainly limited to him because no one else would probably be able to pull it off.

The Hymn of the Wolves
Name: Hymn of The Moon Water Wolves (Munu Otaookami no sanka)

The sealed zanpaktou is actually rather unique, in that it has two swords instead of the single blade of a standard zanpaktou. What is even more interesting is that these swords are sheathed at the same end of the saya, side by side. A very interesting, and quite useful design. Based on it’s appearance alone, you might not guess that there were two swords hiding in that innocent looking piece of wood but stealth is the name of Namakai’s game. Anyway the light wood used (often magnolia) was usually specifically selected for the purpose and cured for many years to remove all moisture, and the lack of finishing, or more precisely, the lack of the traditional lacquer finish, was by design intended to allow the saya to “breathe” and allow moisture to escape, so that the blade will always be at its maximum in its time of not entering battle. The design is of such significant aesthetic value that it has been subverted for no one else to dare use. A note must be made that one sword is the length of a katana while the other acts as the short sword of a wakizashi.

The Katana and the Wakizashi that are all embedded into one becomes a water-covered sapphire surrounded claws and yet another that has moon shaped patterns strapped on the back. This is a One-handed light weight Sword primarily for Stabbing and piercing which is perfectly used for assassination and quick and close combat however the design and shape allows it to be used as a normal katana. Through the short, it sword seems to be that wind is churning threw it wildly. While on his free hand, wintry claws forms over his hand with a orb with in the middle of the palm that resembles the moon. The sword in the orb specifies the large body of waters being pulled from strong winds influenced by the moon. So you can guess what his power is. The gravitational push and pull and manipulation of the water in the atmosphere. Constantly and everywhere there is moisture in the air to be managed. He directs them in a way of killing his opponent like a true assassin. Though the catch is this water has distinct sound when he chooses for it too, like the sound of a wolf pack. So essentially, the second effect of this zanpakuto is sound that the water alone seems to hold along with the control of that sound. If he has full control over his zanpakuto, it would be weird for him to separate the sound from the water and use it separately.
Shikai Attacks: Chikara Pusshu/Kone (Force Push/Pull): The manipulation of pushing or pulling combining his reiatsu with the moisture in the air. The bigger the object, the more reiatsu he must use but he is capable of using it on himself as well. Each force push and pull that is done has a distinct sound of a wolf pack howling which has no effect unless the water that he is pushing or pulling comes in contact with the body. If hit, that loud sound will ring through your body disrupting the water in your body. Seeing as how the body is made up of eighty percent water, it’s going to bring internal pain. If done on someone of weaker level, they are going to be paralyzed for one post.
Kengeki Heisetsu( Sword Play Link): Each attack produces an *almost* simultaneous parallel attack in the opposite direction. This means that an enemy is attacked from both sides depending on the angle the sword or his claws come from. Successful counter of blocking both strikes with in the small interval would be the best defense but that’s not the only defense nor is that easily accomplished. However when he misses or when the blade clashes with another weapon, they store and snatch up sound. This makes it looks like the battle that is going on is a silent one. This is the type of battle that assassins specialize at. The sound that was store or via collected can be reinforced and released in a loud howl around the user. This results in solidifying the moisture in the air around the user and turning it into water type shield that had pack of sound around it. It can be broken but when done so; it will fill as though the howl has increased in volume. You can guess what the means to someone who is close.
Kengekinami(Sword Play Wave)- This acts just as his passive striking ability except it’s a projectile that can be performed from long distance. Focusing the moisture with in the air or from the blade or claws itself a blue colored arc wave cuts threw the air as a high velocity force but another blast forms from behind or whatever the opposite direction the first wave is coming from so essentially its two attacks coming at the user. With it being condensed water pressure the impact tends to be highly sharp. The sound that it collects on its path tend to shape and mold the arc wave into a wolf giving it more maneuverability, and just all around agile speed. When it impacts, it has the same effect as the attack itself with in terms of cutting power. They think on their own which would be hints of the Zanpakuto spirit taking over.
Bankai: English: Hymn of the Moon Water Wolves Aura

When initiating the Bankai known as Aura, it makes the users weight change as if they were upon the moon making its user extremely light-weight which brings fourth so many rare upgrades For instance, he can push and pull himself at greater speeds and with a lighter interior/exterior, his all around swordplay will just increase in speed. When attacked then it will push him back further saving him from a onslaught of attacks of rapid attacks, and finally he has control over his own form of liquid dubbed as, Lunar Water. This water runs like normal water but the temperature is comparable to ice. It’s not capable of being frozen. So it’s essentially getting hit with the force of normal water but with the temperatures of ice. In Bankai then a radiate glow that a full moon would give off, envelopes Koinu completely. The claws that were once wore only gets a new design completely of every type of moon and his second weapon elongates and splits into a beautiful halberd and scythe combination. Said to be one of the most beautiful and probably the most powerful Water Based, Moon-like zanpaktou. On the arms, blades like glowing white surround his form making arm blades. His Bankai turns his body into a living weapon with so many ways to attack. His clothing matches a certain male style of his zanpakuto’s spirits. Each and every skill of shikai is still accessible.
Bankai Weapon One
Bankai Attacks: Aoi Tsuki (blue moon): the moisture that is in the very air and around his zanpaktou is molded into what starts as a regular baseball size orb. It is tossed into the air and it will continue to grow. Once it reaches full power after (one post of the user and opponent) then it will shine down upon the battlefield with a brilliant wintry light. This will transform the moisture into lunar water which will allow him to make Tides of the lunar water. They are very cold to the touch and the tides are compressed so forcefully that it also can slice threw the toughest metal. When the tides cut through something they release sound waves capable of amplifying the cut or making it vibrate wildly which will increase its cutting power or just make it dangerous to try and block not that it isn’t block able. But, imagine what kind of damage will be done to the inner tissue?
Gesshoku (Lunar Eclipse): This works in conjunction with the control of the tides. Once the Aoi Tsuki technique is complete then the user is capable of rising a tidal wave that comes from both sides and blocks out the light from above. This is where the true assassin nature comes into play. The only light that is provided are the glows from the Lunar water moisture in the air. The tide can be impacted upon and will force a gash with in them but they quickly close up due to the moisture in the air. Bring upon darkness to the Assassins liking. On the outside though is where the attack is most dangerous because that’s where the water is compressed which makes it very sharp. Making it hard for others to penetrate and enter. On the outside the sound is very deafening as if constant wolves were howling and he usually wont use this technique if he is fighting more than one opponent.
Gekkou(Moonbeam): By changing the own water with in his body to the Lunar water then he is capable of in a sense charging himself into a weapon. This can be used as just a armor in which his skin becomes so cold that it can cut. Though since it is his skin he still can be cut himself with the right kind of force applied. The real power behind such a technique is to push the energy from his body in water compressed beam that gathers moisture as it approaches its target. The course of attack can be controlled with the constant push and pull. It’s only able to be done twice due to his body not being able to take any more damage. However, it can be turned into a wolf pack style making a total of ten wolves with the same power as the Gekkou if all attack at once. If split, then the power is decreased but used to overwhelm opponents. If they successfully strike a blow, they will howl and disperse cutting the opponent and injected sound into that part of the body. That sound will rupture the blood flow depending on the reiatsu of his opponent, either cause a great deal of pain, or immobilize wherever it hit.

Skills: Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant (Wolf Style): As the principal of the Onmitsukido, Koinu is required to be highly proficient in hand-to-hand contest, which he had been training in before he first connected with the Onmitsukido taught by his mother and father. He is one of if not the most proficient hand-to-hand combatant in all of Soul Society. Koinu can adequately block and attack others and is hard to actively lay a hand on unless he allows which he rarely does unless he is trying to embarrass a person. A master of every single Wushu art and a wide series of martial art including his own which has yet to be seen. Others who are not sufficient in hand to hand combat should certainly steer clear away from him in this department. Though do to his nature, you will most likely see him use the Wolf Style martial art.Inspired by the stealth and cunning of the wolf, Wolf Style is a martial art form that focuses on skill and speed. As such, it is a defense-oriented form even when used offensively. A master of Wolf Style will enter combat aggressively, preferably after having observed his opponent from afar. Once actually in combat, the Wolf master will be more circumspect, using offensive and defensive moves equally and leaping in and out of combat range to throw his enemy's timing off. Special and hidden technique known as Wolf's bite. The Special kata used is Wolf pack.
Swordsmanship Specialist: Koinu is a highly adaptable combatant learning throughout the fight at a rapid rate as it goes on. Koinui’s fighting style involves evasion and attacking an opponent either in the front or back using the element of surprise to overwhelm them. Incorporating flexible movements and hand to hand combat into his swordsmanship is what he is known for doing. His strikes are very similar to how a wolf stalks, learns, and then strikes its prey.
Animal Senses: Not only can Koinu communicate with animals and understand them but being raised with them gave him the keen senses of a wolf. Which is developed eyesight, remarkable hearing, and a potent sense of smell. These tools are a good companion in both hunt and communication with other wolves/animals period. A wolf can sense a prey by smell 3 kilometers away. The eyes are like almost all predators pointed forward with a sight-field of nearly 180 degrees. Koinu can take on all these senses along with the agility and the reflex of a wolf. However, it is limited. He must go into wolf mode to actually use them in battle. Outside of battle, it is always present.
Disturbing Strength: Did you think that the chiseled body and all of that physical prowess was for show? To make this simple and sweet, Koinu doesn’t even like to use his zanpaktou. He prefers to break bones with deadly strikes. That should speak in terms for his strength. But if it doesn't, too many hits from him can leave your body in shambles.
Hoho Master: Sure, Koinu is fast and can be classified to be on the higher rank for a captain but that is due to his wolf-like nature. More or less, his agility is what is impressive. Combing this with shunpo makes for a more proficient shunpo.
Koinu's Hidden Martial Art: The Style known as Wuxíng de youlíng which translates to Formless ghost. It's a style that incorporates speedy movements and deadly strikes with attacks that contracts the diaphragm, and was first originated by Namaiki. The training methods consist of under water training. By holding your breath you strengthen your heart and lungs. This is the basic of the water submerged training. With water pressure you strengthen your power and with pressure on your heart, it will give you stamina. All these prepare the body for one thing, to be able to overcome pain which gives you the most important thing, will and psychological strength. The style steers towards the teachings of formless beliefs as well, which could be directly stated as," Not lacking the crucial element of the heart to fight. Mind over matter is the best way to put this." When it comes down to it, a style that brings fourth the reality of showing, their are no perfect beings in the world. This is stated with the most dangerous way of bringing your opponent to death. Five organs appear in five colors someone where on the face.

When striking then the style will transfix on one of these dangerous areas and work there way until the color is present on the face and then, they will continue to work on that area until they are dead. A unrelenting force is what is used in a formless martial art to destroy the internal body. A style that has incorporated many forms into just one formless style. What you accept lives and what you falsifies dies. One only grows by keeping the integrity to the teaching and incorporating it into your own.. One who imitates is a mere copy. That means, nothing is copied with in this style but only approved in the purest way to make it better than the previous. With flexibility and power the offense cant be beat. With energy and flexibility, power is unlimited. Until the blood is dry, and the bones turned to dust, a person of this style will continue to fight. You can fix a twisted bone but not a twisted heart. This style aims to do both with just a natural instinct to fight.
Your eyes will deceive you, don’t trust them. A member of this teaching Must sharpen their senses for the strongest grappling. Grappling is sensed with the finger tips, even one millimeter off the pressure points and your moves become useless. It involves momentum, leverage, and perception. Don’t struggle out from the force. When mastering this then even the simplest grapples can become dangerous.
Wolf-mode Spiritual Pressure: being a captain of the gotei thirteen allowes for Koinu to have a concentrated and impresive amount of spiritual pressure. However, he seems to have two forms of it making him vast. Its more of a subconcious thing if you will. It's really only one but it is so huge that it's broken into two parts of mentality for him. You have the regular captain spiritual pressure and then when he gets serious,his whole demeanor changes and his spiritual pressure howls constantly off and on like a wolf. This is the signal that he is in wolf mode.
