Tears burning behind my eyelids,
I cry, silently, closed mouthed wails.
You see naught but my outer shell,
Of which protecting me, it fails.
I snap my mouth shut
With a hope you don't hear,
Even if you ignored me,
My pain and my fear.
I wish for some help,
Of which does not come,
Because I was prideful
Fear did overcome.
If tears could speak.
A thousand words will pass
But water remains,
No matter its past.
If tears could speak,
A cry would tell it all.
Be it emotional or physical,
Someone has taken a fall.
If tears could speak,
Silent we'd remain,
Joy, mad, or sorrow,
Tears made of pain.
If tears could speak,
You would know my fear,
But silent, they remain,
So they will stay here.
If tears could speak,
They'd say nothing at all.
Whether Spiritual or not,
Someone's taken a fall.

I'm working hard on my book as well... ((Only on chapter two *cough "fail"* but I have it planned! I won't give up!))

This is a work of genius, Sapphirianna. Usually I can find multiple things wrong with people's poetry. But I don't really see much here that I can critique. It is powerful, beautiful, and sad. Excellent work!

I wrote this on a whim, like most of my poems. sweatdrop
Usually, when I write something as dark and sad as this, I'm feeling like that...
I can't remember why I was feeling so dark that day... sweatdrop lol
And, I tend to write more somber pieces than anything else really. Something that really portrays how I'm feeling... lol.
