The sound of summer was everywhere that Cael looked, from the slopping hills, to the stream nearby and lastly to the field in which the young Saigh stood. The field was the picture of peace and contentment. Something that Cael had begun to cherish ever since he had stumbled into it.
Cocking his head to the left, Cael began to travel through the field, heading unknowingly towards the one place that the sounds of summer could not reach. The forest.
With every step towards the dark woods, Cael began to hear less of the birds that had accompinied his exploring. At the edge of the forest, Cael stopped. His gaze falling on the old and worn path that led into the darkness. Glancing once more back at the sunfilled field, Cael took his first few steps into the darkness.
Once inside the forest, Cael turned his sight to the forest floor, His small nose twitching as he began to explore.
