child refs || A vague idea of fin placement, really. I have no idea where butt fins would go, lawl. I hope to see a dorsal fin that's somehow incorporated into his hair*, hip fins*, arm fins, and tail fins*.

Hair Color
Classic goldfish golden/orange or even perhaps the darker reddish-orange that some can be. * Ideally, however, the hair color would not be the exact same colors as the dorsal fins that are part of his hair-do.* New input! I just realized if he had the darker reddish-orange hair he'd be a Ginger. YES PLEASE!

Hairstyle
See the Child Ref's image for ideas. Hair that is very wavy but NOT necessarily curly. Shoulder length to between the shoulder-blades length is preferred. *Also, fins included in his hair-do in some manner.*

Eye Color
Dark. Perhaps a darkish gray, as fish don't really have eye color.

Eye Shape
Classic roundish american shape... perhaps a little rounder/larger to give him the familiar fish stare (and an innocent look, at that) ~ o0o

Skin Color
Pale skin color with smatterings of white and orange (ala calico fish scale colorings) scales over his body. Perhaps on his shoulders, around the areas where fins are attached (perhaps a FEW scales on his forehead if head(dorsal) fins are worked into his hair).

Facial and Body Structure
Slender and delicate features (little nose, long, slender fingers, etc...) I know the Veiltail is one of the egg-shape body type Goldfish but I personally cannot imagine a way that can be incorporated well into a human figure. However if the artist can... then by all means. :>

Other
Giving Vai a surprised expression or finding some way for his mouth to be slightly open so he can give a o0o fish face is WELCOME. I like humor! And gills!

suggested inclusions || Fins in his hair (dorsal), on his hips, and his backside (tail fins). Gills. Delicate features.


clothing style/dress sense ||
Vai's fins are delicate... needless to say he HATES wearing clothing that in any way could press on, ruffle, rumble, or *gasp* tear his fins. He prefers loose, flowing clothing that will prevent this. In the circumstance that not all the fins I'd like to see can be added... his clothing (particularly his sleeves) can be very loose and flowing to replicate the look.

Depending on how things are RP'd, how things go, and what friends Vai makes there is a high chance that he might get into wearing WOMEN'S CLOTHING. Not necessarily because it makes him feel pretty (or does it?) but because dresses and skirts are soooo much more forgiving than pants or slacks, which would have to be worn so far down on his hips he'd nearly be showing it all for everyone to see to make sure his hip fins and tail fins wouldn't get smooshed.

character development ideas ||
-There is an incredibly high chance that Vai will take to wearing women's clothing (i.e. dresses and skirts). It's not necessarily because he's into cross-dressing or it makes him feel pretty (or does it?) but because pants or slacks REALLY hinder in smushing and rumpling his fins which is something he hates almost more than forgetting something behind.

-Vai is really interested in the arts. No so much as a DO kind of guy but a LOOKER. Eventually he'll realize that he could be the one painting pretty pictures or singing songs. I'd like for Vai to go through a process of cycling through many different types of art, from trying to paint, sculpt, act, sing, and trying to learn to play different instruments. In his circumstances it'll almost be like a soul search. Looking for that thing that HE is good at and enjoys doing (and won't just forget about).
Possible Phases
*Painting/Drawing
*Sculpting
*Music (so many different instruments to try!)
*Baking (decorating cakes is like art!)

-Relationship. As in with a girl OR a boy. This is something I'd like to see happen but REFUSE to try and force out. I don't like talking with another player (the person behind the character) and deciding from the get go that two characters WILL fall in love. Rather I prefer to have the characters interact and see what happens between them. Vai is the type of person who might even end up having a FAILED relationship, so that's always a possibility as well!

-Vai's sexuality is UNDECIDED. I want to make a point of saying this because I don't want people to assume that 'He's a guy, he likes to wear dresses... he must be gay!' I don't know Vai very well yet... I have yet to get the chance to RP him. I don't like deciding how a character is going to be and setting it in stone, rather I prefer to let him 'decide' what he prefers by RPing and having things happen. I hope this paragraph is easy to understand but if it's not feel free to send me a PM and ask me any questions.

-Have any suggestions? I'd LOVE to hear them. Vai isn't a created character yet so I can't really PLOT with him but if someone has an idea that COULD happen between him and their character then please by all means give me a shout out!

-Whatever the staff wants to come up with. Honestly Vai doesn't have any direction at this point simply because he hasn't come into creation. My characters tend to develop a personality all their own and start going on the path that THEY chose. However if staff decides they'd like to make some plans for Vai then by all means I'd LOVE to see what they can throw at me! I don't really have any limitations when it comes to RP...just no character death, please!

possible job interests || Something artistic. Vai LOVES admiring everything artistic... eventually he'll realize that maybe even HE can do something like that. I don't know what he might figure out he can do but I'm probably going to steer it towards something Musical in nature. Then again... he might decide that that's not the thing for him!

If you've got any suggestions that you might think would be a fitting future job for Vai feel free to shout it out.

So if you've got any crit or suggestions feel free to give them! I don't think I really have the right to try and plan so far ahead as to make plot ideas with existing characters as Vai does not yet exist but I'd still be giddy to see what you think your kid (if you have an existing CAMPer or if, like Vai, it is just an idea) would think of/how they would interact with Vai.

Aah, I know that fins are really actually very strong. You have a good point there and a good reason to worry. I don't THINK I said anything where I specified that his fins WOULD get damaged at the drop of the hat... rather I wrote it KIND OF from 'his' perspective if you know what I mean?

HE's going to be super duper cautious and careful but me as the player of the character won't have a strong wind blow and his fins tear to shreds, ya know?

And aaaaah I just realized... Butters wants a beautiful world and Vai thinks the world is beautiful! They would make such great friends! <3 Clothes shopping would be a blast. 8D
