People were bashing them in the LD saying they were a waste of time and money, yadday yadda.

I agree for the most part about being a waste of money, they are ridiculously over-priced. But I personally love them. I don't ever buy them, but I'm given one or two by various people and keep about 12 on my arm at all times.

How do ya'll feel about them? I have toy story ones, disney princess ones (including tiana!), batman and superman, and random animals.

I think they're too cute. lol

I have one silly band, which was given to me by my best friend's little brother. It's shaped like an elephant, and I love it!

Anyway... I'm the opposite of frugal, so to be honest the price of Silly Bandz doesn't bother me at all. That being said, I'd much rather spend my money on the necessitities of life, such as DVDs and the How to Train Your Dragon CD. 3nodding

Silly Bands? ugh... *bangs head against wall* burning_eyes those things are so annoying! I have plenty of useful rubber bands at home, I don't see why I need any that are only good for decoration. plus, the ones I have I can mold into any shape I want! eek

Yeah I think for the most part it's stupid and a waste, for the most part it will most likely be forgotten in the next year or so. That said I still... kinda like them. I have one on right now of a multicolored pelican that my little bro gave me. I get them from friends and my little brother who trades them for ones at school. They're pretty pointless for anything other than bragging rights.

This summer I volunteered at a bible camp where we had to watch over some younger kids as we walked them through activities. A few had some bands and I had on a few too. Some of them asked for mine, then one brat came up and ripped most off. I was just thinking you little... but he had half broken them so I let him get away with it. I gave the rest away to the other saddened kids cause they were at least polite about it.

yeah I have no idea why, but I just love them. I wear them constantly. I don't think I'd buy them for myself (I've bought packs for the kids I watch), but I think for the most part I just can't believe I didn't come up with this idea.

Some person is sitting as a millionaire right now because they came up with the idea of rubber bands that are in shapes that never lose form!

OR, maybe you could get creative and take a regular rubber band and SHAPE IT INTO WHATEVER YOU WANT. eek I have no idea how old you guys are, but I think they're cute on little kids, but when you get into high school and college, you may be regarded as... immature with a short attention span. and I wouldn't blame the regarders! honestly, being entertained by rubber bands? o.0
