A knit or crochet pattern for a D20 dice bag? Thinkgeek has a sewn one, but I was hoping for a yarntastic one instead as that will be easier for me to make (and cheaper too). Any help would be much appreciated.

I make dice bags all the time, and sell them at the lovely renaissance faire. Here's my pattern, I use worsted weight yarn and size 8 or 9 needles for a bag that's approximately 6"x6", but I have a very loose gauge. You can make yours larger or smaller with different sizes of needles and yarn.
Cast on 26 sts. I leave a long tail to sew the side up with. Knit in stockinette stitch for 1 1/2 - 2 inches (more for a bigger bag, less for a smaller one), ending with a purl row. Eyelet row: k2, then yo, k2tog across the row, leaving 2 stitches at the end. If I remember, this usually means your row ends yo, k2, so I just p2tog above that last yo on the next row. Remember, you want to keep 2 stitches on each side with no increase or decrease so that you'll have nice, even edges to sew up. Keep knitting in stockinette until the bag looks big enough to hold all your dice when you fold the eyelet row against the needle - make sure to unroll the edges when you do this so you'll see how big the bag really is. Once you've achieved the desired size, work another eyelet row, then your top edge (that 1 1/2 - 2"), and bind off. I like to bind off at the opposite side from the cast on thread, so that I can just use those ends to sew the sides up.
Your drawstring can be made any way you want. I-cord, crochet chain, braid, a single piece of yarn, or even something fancy if you feel like it.
Please keep in mind that this is my pattern, simple as it is, so please give credit if you post it somewhere else - Meaghan Kochheiser.
