Kytara lounged near the shore of the lake, her always present journal tucked away in her bag and left safely forgotten in her room for once. Today she had decided that she would simply take advantage of the last of the nice weather in the season. Her eyes drifted closed as she let out an audible sigh of relaxation.
The sun beat down warmly and the tiny waves of the lake lapped invitingly just below her perch. With everyone busy with drills, and candidate lessons forgotten in favor of lessons with the new senior weyrlings, the girl felt that the time was simply perfect for a quiet and lonely afternoon. Not that she was complaining about the lack of company.
