Clan members retain all memories of their past lives, but are inserted into the nearest newborn to wherever they died. They must learn all their jutsu again and whatnot, and usually have a different affinity than before. Users always have a a kanji for cursed somewhere on their body and usually are much more intelligent than most their age, but otherwise they do not stand out. They only ever remember the last life that they lived though, however long or short it was.

DREAMERS☇★ -- // Unlike most of his clan Akemi was not a ninja in his previous life. His soul came into being shortly after the first shinobi village was ever established, and he was one of a hundred and thirty lucky enough to be cursed by this simple bloodline. Akemi was immediately assigned to the village of Amegakure along with eleven other from his clan, thus far only one of them has found the secret of "True death." As the souls of the Chishikimar never truly die they spend their lives looking for ways to live in peace for a lifetime rather than to seek out eternal life like some humans. Even those that experience the true death wander back after about fifty years and rejoin the clan. Some hidden force attaches their soul to the village they were assigned of so long ago, and ancient ways keep them in a permanent rank within the clan.
Akemi is number five of Amegakure, and number forty seven over all, in his past life he was a doctor that not only helped the sick and injured, but performed autopsies on the dead. This form died of murder during the last great shinobi war and Akemi was reincarnated into the body of a boy in Kirigakure, where he had been fleeing to to escape the war when he was murdered.
His new body was the child of two chefs that moved to the industrious land of rain to hopefully prosper in their business, and when they arrived there Akemi fled to the clanhouse. He returned with his clan leader and they both explained the tattoo of the clans kanji that he bore on his lower right back.
The next six years of Akemi's life are a blur of intense physical training sessions in the clanhouse until finally he enrolled in the academy again. He entered under the name given by his birth family rather than his actual name, and graduated top of his class, followed by succeeding in the chunin exams soon after. At fifteen Akemi became a jonin. Once rank was obtained he began to study forbidden jutsu. His main joy in life is to heal the flesh wounds of his enemies in death and store their bodies in a large scroll for later use. [Currently has 73 bodies in his scroll]
