These are the mountains to the North East of Sunagakure. They are very much unlike the desert surrounding them. They are green and abundantly filled with greenery. However, the trek up these mountains are not very easy. Only those have been here many times are able to enter easily. Not only that, but there are wolves guarding the mountainʻs pastures. Tread carefully.

Sora watched as the ground began to change from loose sand to hard ground with growing grass. She didnʻt have to look up to know that she was home. But when she looked up, she immediately saw that she wasnʻt alone. Three wolves stood up on the rocks, looking down at her with their beady eyes. But the girl wasnʻt afraid. She had literally grown up with these animals, and she knew them well. Hopefully, they remembered her. "Okashi-sama," she whispered, regarding the wolf with a bow. For a while, the wolf did not move and Sora wondered if the wolf was contemplating killing her at that moment.
"Sora..." a familiar voice whispered quietly. Sora looked higher up on the path to see a young man with vibrant red hair looking down at her. Immediately, the wolves backed off and ran back into the woods as the man began to walk down the mountain. "I trust you are doing well?"
"Akira... I thought you were dead," the girl said, her voice trying to keep a hard tone even though her eyes were watering slightly. The man just shrugged his shoulders as he came to stand before her. "Why did you disappear?" She asked, her eyes flashing a dangerous yellow.
"Aah, you have awakened your Chijoukei... Wonderful," Akira smirked. You must tell me... about your stay in Sunagakure. Iʻm sure itʻs very interesting," he motioned for her as he turned and began walking back up the mountain path. Sora quickly followed after him, not wanting to get lost.
"Of course Iʻll tell you... Father."

Sora sat on the floor of her fatherʻs new house, built right on top of the old house. How could it be possible that he was really alive? She had seen their house burn to the ground, she had seen the fragmented bones of what had been her father! Yet there he was, ten years older than he was before, living and breathing just like any other human... everything about him remained the same.
"I trust that you are healthy," he suddenly muttered. Sora nodded her head quietly in response. "What? Gave up talking now, did you? Come on... " he hissed, but his eyes looked up to see a crimson red blade looking right back at him. "So you found it? Good... at least you learned how to use it," he sighed, but the blade was just thrust closer to his face.
"You left me. Why?" Sora asked, hurt apparent in her voice.
"Still asking stupid questions? You havenʻt changed one bit, Sora," Akira growled. But the girlʻs eyes just narrowed on the man, determination fierce in her features. Yet there was a calm elegance about them, almost like a rose protected by its thorns. "I stand corrected. You have changed," the young man sighed quietly. "But, I believe that it is only fair that you tell me about your life first."
Sora nodded her head and lowed the blade slightly before she took a deep breath and began speaking. "Once you left I salvaged the wreckage here and gathered everything that I could. After that I left for any village that would take me in. Sunagakure just so happened to be the first village that I happened across. Niigata-san took me in and made me into her daughter, so I was brought up with some love. But then she died unexpectedly when I turned twelve, leaving me alone. From there the Kazekage rented me an apartment and I have lived there since. While still in the academy, I was sent as an ambassador of the Sand to Konoha and Iwagakure, which ranked me as a Chuunin. You could say that it was my fifteen seconds of fame. Upon returning I was stripped of my position and once again sent back to the academy. All of my fellow classmates had graduated, leaving me as the only academy student. I trained under Natsumi Koizumi, the Kazekage, but that didnʻt really work out well. We arenʻt the same... she has a different element than I. But thanks to her, I met Tanzu Zamni. We got into a relationship but it fell apart... It actually fell apart right before I left Sunagakure. Anyway, Koizumi was replaced by Hajime Zane and I began to train under him. From there I learned basic medical ninjutsu and taijutsu. I have also befriended the Ichibi host, Greyson David. Such a talented child... very bright with so much potential... He will become a great shinobi." Sora finished. "That is my story."
Akira remained quiet for quite some time before he brought his hands together. The continuous clapping was beginning to unnerve Sora, but she allowed it to continue until he finally stopped a little while later. "So... you found a boyfriend?"
"It did not last."
"I knew you were destined to be alone."
"Do not mock me."
"I am your father. I may do what I wish," Akira growled. Sora rolled her eyes slightly. Things never change... She thought to herself, but then the sound of flesh on flesh rang through her ears before the pain swept across her face. "Yet, I see that your respect toward authority has yet to be polished. I will re-teach you," he sighed.
Sora bowed her head slightly. "Yessir."

Today would have been a very peaceful day. There was no howling wind, the sky had just enough clouds so that it wasnʻt too hot or too cloudy. But of course, Soraʻs father just had to ruin that. It seems that when he said he would ʻre-teach her respectʻ, he wasnʻt kidding. Every time she didnʻt show enough respect toward him a senbon was lodged into her body. Somewhere, somehow. But Sora no longer minded. She knew simple medical jutsu, so the minor cuts and bruises were a thing of the past. Well... except for the fact that he had punched her in the eye so hard that it had bruised almost completely shut. That was near untreatable. So it got bandaged instead with her headband.
"Kyuuketsuki, Sora," a sudden voice called out, forcing Sora to her feet. An ANBU from Sunagakure was standing at the doorway, a scroll in his hand. Immediately, Sora took the scroll and read it quietly to herself before she handed it back to the ANBU and bowed.
"Father, I need to go back to Sunagakure," Sora said as she packed up her bags again. "Something has come up." Of course, Akira put up no fight what-so-ever. It wasnʻt like he really cared anyway.
So with that, Sora was running in the direction of Sunagakure to meet Zane at the tower. Last order as Kazekage? Did that mean he was leaving?

Flying through the mountain passes, the silver hawk let out a screech which echoed through valleys and mountain's alike. It seemed this hawk rather liked hearing himself amidst the deaf mountains and the upcoming desert. As the mist crest around his neck shone brightly throughout the foothills, the scroll fastened around his foot stayed secure and safe.

Kay would be following his nose and using his instincts to guide him to Kirigakure. He had followed Etsushi as far as the mountains, and from there could smell the sea and salt of the ocean. Needing only that he sped ahead, very at home in the noise of the mountain jungle. He went through trees with amazing agility, almost as if he had a sixth sense at work for him as he moved much faster than a sight dependent creature would have. Well, he kind of did have a "sixth" sense, but since it replaced his sight didn't it make his a fifth sight? He didn't know, and didn't care. He made sure to stay in sight range of Aeden, so that Aeden could see HIM that is, but otherwise moved with unheard of grace and speed. But he would suddenly stop, crouched low on a tree and staring out at something in the wild life... something big that had a blade lodged in hit's shoulder, probably someone's last act of defiance before death. It was being attacked by wolves in the forest... But the wolves were losing, their bodies much to small to fight this prey. Wounded they ran as the monster roared at them, but suddenly stopped as it caught Kay's scent. It picked up a large rock and roared, lobbing it at the tree he was in. The tree was utterly destroyed, and the Ogre figured he'd killed another wolf. Behind him stood Kay, his blade in hand. He was noticeably faster now than before he went into the hospital, and could see a little better too. He didn't notice it too much though, writing it off as adrenaline. The ogre turned to him, and rushed at Kay. He skillfully jumped out it's range of attack and then bravely dashed in to attack. He jumped, removing the blade in it's shoulder, and then jumped off to avoid it's massive arm. The beast hit itself, and shambled backwards. Kay, at a slight disadvantage based on size, slashed with his blade first, then again with the other. As the beast stumbled back Kay jumped from it's knee like a stool, and then jammed both blades into it's chest. As it fell, Kay removed both blades and then stabbed the blade he had found in it's head as it roared in pain... and then in death. Sheathing his own weapon, and removing his bloody, but replaceable, cloak to reveal his shirt. He then jumped and continued onwards to the mist village as the wolves came out to claim the treasure for their own.

Sora followed closely behind Kay, noting the direction that they were headed. This was her home. This was where she had lived for three years of her life. But she didn't get too carried away. She saw the ogre, she saw the fight, and she recognized each and every single wolf there. She smiled softly as they looked up at her, ignoring the fact that Kay had pretty much left the group behind. "Ookami-sama," Sora whispered quietly as she squatted down, ruffling the wolf behind the ears. The canine responded with a low growl, but it was not hostile in any way. When she looked up again to try and find where the chunin had run off to, she noticed the glint of silver in the trees above her. She saw the shock of crimson hair before it disappeared back into the shadows of the trees. "Chichiue," she whispered. Then she was gone, sprinting after Kay through the mountains toward the ocean that meant Kirigakure.

Instead of the trees like any other ninja, she took to the ground, dodging in and out of the trees. A couple of hours into the forest, she stopped, her back collapsing against the trunk of a tree. Her breath was ragged, and she suddenly could feel the effects from the fight with Zane radiating across her body. She held her hands out in front of her body, her arms and hands covered in bandages to protect the new raw skin from damaging winds, sand, and other elements. But right now they were throbbing in pain.
Sora and Aeden were far behind her, so she let out a cry of pain not caring if only Kay heard her, looking up at the sky, and knocking her head against the trunk of the tree to try and calm herself down and get the pain to stop. Sweat coated her brow, her face, her neck, and chest. She cried out again, her throat tightening as tears threatened to spill down her lashes. Her arms were shaking again, and she held them close to her body. She pushed off the trunk of the tree, and began forward again towards the nauseating scent of the sea. ✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 101/120
Status: Fatigued and injured.
Mood: Determined No pleasure
No expression
Just and illusion of what should have been
but wasn't...

Jishaku Furimawasu
|The Gold Lightning of Kumo|Ninjutsu Specialist|Elemental Control Sunaton(Sand)/Jiton(Magnetism)|Kumogakure|Raiton|Jounin| 
For a time, Jishaku went through countless mountain paths that lead from Kumo to Suna. Down below, he could see the beginnings of the Suna desert and shook his heat. "I'm definitely not going to enjoy this," he said to himself aloud. Deciding to not waste anymore time, Jishaku jumped onto a boulder and launched himself off of it towards one of the mountain-side cliffs. Running with great speed, he positioned himself on the cliff so that he could continue running down until he reached the beginning of the sandy area below. Being a former Kumo-nin Jishaku was pretty used to scaling down mountsides. In fact, he didn't even rely on the art of wall walking to support himself or even steady his body. No, he was quite used to using this as the quickest method to descend from a mountain. With a final front flip, he landed on the last bed of rock, beads of sand breaching the land between desert and mountain in front of him from time to time. Shaking his head, he pressed forward into what began the desert. "This should be interesting."
Walking through the desert, Jishaku grumbled heavily to himself. The sand certainly wasn't the problem for him, but rather the direct sunlight and heat that came with it. "How do these people even stand this!" he said through gritted teeth, an attempt to keep sand out of his mouth. But he continued to put up with it for now. What he would achieve in Suna would be worth the annoying weather, so for the moment he bared with it. He'd been to Suna a few times on missions, so finding it was not the task he currently thought of as being the toughest obsticle to overcome. In fact, this to Jishaku was convincing the Kazekage to allow him to stay in the village for a week or two. He didn't need that much time there, just enough to collect data on their current forces. He guesstimated that as easy as it was to take down Iwa, Suna may be only slightly harder; just slightly though according to his guess. Seeing the entrance in the distance, Jishaku smiled to no one in particular as he said, "Here we go."

Kensei walked across the desert and was heavily sweating. This was actually his first time coming into the desert, but he read a lot about them. He was carfully watching his feet to try and avoid any snakes. Snakes was one of his main phobias directly after spiders. "Alright guys we're almost there. I can see the gates." He shouted as he stumbled around in the sand. He stopped for a few seconds to reach in his bag and pulled out a canteen of water. Kensei drunk a lot of it before offering some to Sora.

Laxus was faring far worse than he had expected. He had accidentally swallowed the first stone, and it definitely wasn't going to digest. His canteen was starting to run extremely low. He had made a smart move sucking on the stones, but that was about to run out. He'd lost most of the stones, stumbling into the sand is a great way to rip up cloth. His right arm was lightly burned, and immensely darker. His hair was soaked, and matted to his head. His headband of sorts was obviously wet, and had small crystals forming on it. " Good, I'm on my last gulp of water. " Laxus said laughing as he shook his canteen walking up to Kensei and sitting down on the sand. " I wonder how deep until the sand is cool. " He muttered aloud, looking at the sand and dipping his right arm in.

Kensei was breathing heavily. He noticed laxus sat near him. "We should have traveled at night but it would have been too cold." Kensei said as he got up and dusted himself off. He wanted to hurry and get to Suna as soon as possible. Hopefully the village Kazekage would let them rest for a while. "Alright break time is over let's go." Kensei said as he started to walk again.

Enter from Mountain Pass to Cloud Village
Sora brought up the rear... while eating an apple. It was one of the fruits she had brought to serve as food--keeping in mind that they were going to the dry desert, Sora thought it would be best to pack foods that had and could retain moisture. She had finished her first canteen of water but had a bit left in her second canteen, both in addition to the third canteen that had yet to be touched were a few of the miscellaneous items that she had packed. In addition to the copious store of water, Sora had also been sucking on hard candy for most of the trip much like how Laxus had been sucking on stones. The effect was similar, although Sora hadn't known that sucking on something would help with the heat (and candy is significantly better tasting than rocks). Of course, she still had the rock Laxus had given her; it was in her shoulder bag.
All in all, Sora was taking the heat the best out of the rest of the squad. Sure, she was breathing hard. Sure, she was sweating so much that her clothes were soaked in various places. Sure, she didn't have the usual bounce in her step. However, at least she wasn't stumbling through the sand (okay, she had tripped countless times, but that's different) or trying to see if she could find a cool spot if she dug deep enough into the sand. In exchange, though, the girl did have sore shoulders. Preparation had a cost, and the cost was more luggage. Still, though, Sora had plenty of energy to go about hauling a bit of extra weight.
Upon catching up to Laxus and Kensei, Sora bent double and took a bite of her almost finished apple. She did not, however, plop down to sit in the sand. It would take too much effort to stand back up again and the girl didn't want to get any more sand in her clothes. She listened quietly. Up until the point Kensei began walking again. "Ah, before we continue. Anyone want something sweet?" the girl made her customary offer as she held up the bag of candy she had brought with her. A tired, sweaty smile graced her face.

Laxus moved his tongue around in his mouth a bit when he realized that he hadn't had anything in his mouth since they had stopped. He hung his head slightly in defeat. That was the fifth rock he'd let fall out of his mouth during speech. " Yeah, we'd have looked fairly awkward dressed in warm clothing by the morning if we traveled by night. " Laxus said smiling at the thought of them all wearing coats and thick pants. " Hurrah, We're almost there. " Laxus said standing up shortly after Sora popped next to them.
" I'll take one, do you have any lemon flavored ones? " Laxus said as he turned to Sora. He didn't want to continue to suck on the rocks as they were covered with dirt. Plus the flavor would make him salivate more so than sucking on a bland tasteless rock.
