An old mechanics garage that can be found in the middle section of G.E.A.R.B.O.L.T. Now converted into a steam garage, running on a constant supply of steam for energy. Marcus Laridius builds and sells his inventions here until he has enough money to rebuy his house back in Clockwork Town.

Marcus rides up and into his shop in his steamcar and parks in the garage. He closes the main gate and then flips the open light on. He walks into his workshop and sits on the old, ruined couch and closes his eyes for a bit, waiting for some customer to come in.

Osylla wasn't too familiar with the steampunk engineer she'd herd was well traveled in his crafts. His name running even into the dunes of Sairok and for his designs and prowess. She'd been feeling a bit light in armor and Osylla had to add something extra to her arsenal. She wasn't sure what it was but she'd suspected he'd have the tools to build it. She'd traveled the entire desert accumulating strength and building her reputation as a great mercenary of the sands. Though even she need some help here and there, as monstrous as her true nature was, far scarier thinga laid in wait barred beneath the sands. Osylla's travels had granted her one particular item of use. A cloak of sand able to move a person to a desired cloaked image. so whatever the sand cloak projected she'd appear in the area. Having shifted trough the sands o a few blocks off from where she'd strung out some haphazard directions Osylla had found the recently new position of The Engineers shop in G.E.A.R.B.O.L.T. Peaking inside she call ut in a load yell, "Ehhh! Anyone in the joint!"

(one thing cain you should realize it this character needs to be re-approved, so I'm only doing this so you can have a bit of something to do, but I'll give it to you up front. In this guild solo Rp'ing for a bit isn't frowned upon, just be sensible and pretty much build your characters relationship with their surroundings. NPc's such as towns folk are at your diposal as well. Though don't just say something out of the ordinary just happened to please you. really plots are based on group participation and to really be considered a viable plot is in how many people you get to join in.)

A loud thump is heard in the back of the room as some dust falls off the ceiling. The sounds of cranking gears can be heard in the back and the air was cool with steam. As the door behind the register opened up automatically, a tall character with dirt and oil on his face and clothes walked in. The tall elf smiled as he lifts up his steam goggles.

"Welcome to the Emporium. I am Marcus Laridius, how can I help you?"

Pulling back her hood and pulling down the mask on her face she tried to loosen up her look since she still looked obviously like a desert traveler."Yeah wait one second." She'd say as she'd drop a few heavy things which kicked up some of the caked over layers of dirt on the floor. Moving in to lean on the counter and look up at the tall elf with a quirked expression saying, Well aren't we tall~... She'd rankly begin to smirk and laugh to herself and continue. "Well now I need a job and I think you can do it, ya see i've got a water type of seishou and my gears been needing a small boost. I use specifically parasitic types of water and I think a little bit of your renowned steam punk skills could give me a new edge to my aging arsenal...so~ you for that? If not I'll be moving on...Hey you've ever done any private work before. Like guild specific?" Osylla's curiosity was peaking trough and the notion of either she'd had a point or not remained a mystery as her expression left no clue to any point. Though one could guess she was going to ask him to do a bit of privateer work for her guild. though she'd never been known to ask favors from those wh didn't owe her one, or had a good place of business behind it. Well at least to those who knew her or taught they knew her.

Marcus' eyes began to light up as he looked at the contraptions that the woman had brought in. He looked through the pile of machinery. He also noticed the machinery on her.

"By adding steam, I can increase the pressure to create a much more lethal blast in a gun type weaponry, much like that pistol you got. With an equiped steam engine, you can create a booster to increase the striking speed of a blunt or bladed weapons."

His ears perked up at the sound of private work.

"Never been hired by anyone before, always been working on farm equipment or vehicles. And sometimes special requests from local militia or some of the mafia."

"Well you must be doing something right . I heard about you out in the boonies of the desert, but I guess it must be a grateful soldier you fixed up that's been spreading a bit of praise about you, huh?" wiping the tail of her keepsake the sand dragoons coat behind her, she'd stretch her hands over her head as she'd go back toward her gear and pick up her magical machete, and place her saw-off shotgun pistols "The negotiators" on the counter. "Fix these and I think I can give you better work than chump stuff get you something reasonably challenging. I'm a pilot as it is and if you can make it i can drive it. I've been needing some fresh blood in my guild and you seemed filled with some of the purest crimson I can find. though you may get some of my attention the boys back home don't like it when mama brings back people who don't prove their worth. So state your price and I'll pay it, just make sure it's some of your best damn work."
Falling back on top of her things left on the floor Osylla would sit with her leg crossed over the other playing with her hair with an expression saying, " Well begin already.

Marcus grins a most maniacle grin as he slides his goggles over his eyes. The old keepsake of his glows brightly and zooms in a bit. He starts to take apart the weaponry and pulls out some steam gears.

"In my 105 years of working in the mechanic business, I haven't seen such beautiful weaponry such as these."

His hands work with great speed and precision. He turns a valve that releases a tank of steam. He moves his hands as the steam begins to bend to his command. After attaching the steam engine and almost completely remodeling the both gun's design, he forces the steam into the engine. He pushes the gun forward.

User Image

"I had to completely remodel the gun. The power of the steam's pressure would cause the gun to explode and you would lose your arms within a matter of seconds."

Watching the entire time she'd note how fast he was working. Of coarse he took a bit of time, but as for figuring out and playing with the functions of her guns. she was fairly impressed. Field work would come in handy as she had some uses for him. Standing up she'd look at the guns and flip them aroun ing her hand taking aim at the bridge of his nose. Then dropping htem down she'd tilt her head to the side in inspection of the negotiators new look. "Hmm, looks nice but how'll this do with my rounds?...wait forget that question." Quickly loading a round she'd fire at a wall, and once she'd force a considerable large whole in the wall as if it was hit with a cannonball she'd whistle and place it on the counter."Well that's answers that, what can you do for blades. I'd like you to branch out a bit and make it that a focused channel of stem can run along my machetes mystic blade. I want it so the parasitic water I use can shift into a gas form an in it's increased molecular movement work faster in raining my enemies dry. You do that and your done." Sitting back down she'd now pull out a lollipop from her coat and flick it a bit as some dust and sand was on the wrapper. Pulling it of and placing it in her mouth she'd look at a watch on her wrist and start to time him to the second. (you can say what time you think would be reasonable as your skill level for brand new work)

"Oh, I already have something I can do for your weapon to increase its power with the addition of your request."

Taking out his tools, Marcus began to unattach the grip to the sword and began to attach an engine to it, adding small thrusters to it as he inserted the steam engine tanks. He then began to carve the liquid channels into the blade with a chisel. Next, he walked into the back of the room and came out carrying an intriquitely crafted pistol. He unattaches the pistol grip and reattaches the machate handle to it, then attaching the blade underneach the gun.

"What I have done here is taken a steam engine and put thrusters on it. By activating them, you can increase your chopping speed and can no cut your enemy's arm off more easily and even from the shoulder, unlike the blunt cut you'd get from a regular machete. I have also put in the parasitic water channels you asked for."

He then points to the pistol.

"This is the part I am really proud of. This pistol has a unique engine that can encase your parasitic water into a fragile bullet that will explode on impact. However, if you focus enough of your water, you can make it so it can explode when the bullet hits the victim's bones. Is the weapon to your approval?"

With the pickpocket's directions, Mina was able to locate the mechanic's new shop. She had actually come up the back of the garage, so she walked slowly around the property to study the building. There were all sorts of way she could climb up onto the roof, and the Hunter was so very tempted to do so immediately, but refrained since it was daytime and she didn't want to frighten anyone or have them think she was a burglar. She took her hands out of her pockets when she got to the front of the building and neared the workshop door. It was habit carried over from when she worked in the slums. Anyone with their hands in their pockets could be a short movement away from stabbing you, and therefore had a tenuous relationship with those around them.

Opening the door, Mina saw a woman looking at her watch amidst a big pile of bags and weaponry. She had an impressive stature, and Mina guessed she was probably associated with a traveling caravan as a guard or something of the sort. The tall male elf had just finished saying something, but Mina didn't catch what. Figuring the shop owner was in the middle of a business transaction, Mina let the door close behind her and stood silently with a quiet face and her hands interlocked, resting in front of her.

Kale stroled into the shop and surveyed his surroundings. As he had expected the girl was standing in front of him looking at the , what he assumed to be, the owner and a customer. The customer was showing off weapons and talking to the owner who looked like he was having a ball upgrading all of the weapons mentally except the one he already upgraded.

"Hmm, steam engines on a blade. What the hell is this world coming to."Kale said to himself as he browsed the shop by himself while listening in on the conversation going on and hoping that the woman could at least prove to do something interesting at the time.

As a third person came into the store, Mina suddenly felt out of place, not least of all because she was the shortest one in the room. That, and she really had no idea what anyone was talking about. Mechanics weren't her forte.

She was getting impatient. Waiting around the store was time she could be using to inquire at other places. Hoping now was a good time to butt into the conversation, she walked further into the room closer to the new customer, semi-directing her words at him in case the shop owner didn't take notice. "Yeah it does seem kind of... counter-intuitive," she shrugged, "But then again I don't know much about mechanics." Claiming to be ignorant in a specific field tended to bring out the more opportunistic vendors, she found, and hoped it could lead to an opening with someone in the room.

Kale heard the woman's comment and smirked a little." Yeah mechanics aren't really my thing either I just never would have thought that someone needed a virtual jet pack on a blade to make them swing faster." Kale said as he turned to the lady. He took in her form and found her quite the ready one. She looked eager for something and if it was a fight then Kale was truly ill prepared since he took none of his weapons or gadgets to this little outing of his.

"Name's Jak by the way and I really am just looking to see if he got something that will give my bike the boost it needs if you know what I mean." Kale said lying completely since he had no idea how most motorcycles worked or even how to start one.

Mina laughed a bit, "Well anything to get an advantage, eh? Can't blame anyone for wanting that." She was kind of surprised that he introduced himself so readily, but she always followed the lead of her company, and acted just as cordial. She offered her hand for a friendly shake, hoping he wouldn't be one of the ones that recoiled when they saw her claws. "Nice to meet ya Jak. And I can only guess what you mean," she added with a wink. She really didn't care to get too friendly too quickly, but she learned you never knew what kind of connections a stranger had. For a fence, connections were everything. "Motorcycle, huh? I didn't know they made them with such quiet engines now... I didn't even hear one pull up!" Mina couldn't help but smile mischievously.
