This is a series that I was very fond of as a kid. For the first couple years I was terrified of these books. Whenever I saw them in the library I would turn my head the other way because of the covers. ;P
But then I was at a used book sale, and my mom was like, "Hey, these books are a quarter. Why don't you give them a try."
And I'm glad I did. While the stories were similarly formatted, R.L. Stine created lots of unique and chilling tales. When I reread these books, I can't help but smile.
Anyway, I was just thinking of this series because Halloween is coming up, in a little over a month.
Questions: Did you read these books as a kid/young adult? Which one was your favorite? Did your read any of R.L. Stine's other books?

I read these as a kid because my older brother had tons of them in the basement. I loved them and still have a few on a book shelf now. heart I thought it was sort of wrong that all of them had those unhappy/scary endings that I would not want to be caught in except for maybe 3 of them. I can't really recall a favorite at the moment. No I haven't read anything else by the author. What was you favorite or favorites?

I read those books when I was a kid, like 10. My favorite/the one I thought was the scariest was the Night of the Living Dummy one. But here's a funny story: One day after checking out two Goosebumps books from the library, I lost one and never found it! To this day, I have no idea where it went. Guess which one it was?....the one where the kid turns invisible! The cover has a picture of someone eating pizza by a freaked out cat.

My favorite one was Piano Lessons Can be Murder. Probably because my piano teacher was really mean, and she looked like she wanted to kill me whenever I admitted that I didn't practice my scales. sad
