If you're looking to expand your arsenal of deadly weapons or embrace heavenly innocence, September's Monthly Collectibles have you covered.
A sword of exquisite craftsmanship and startling killing prowess, the Muramasa is wielded by only the most skilled assassins. It is said this legendary blade cannot be sheathed until it has drawn blood.
If you need a little protection from above, the Light Spirit will watch over you. This angelic force is a wellspring of untapped magic, though its power is most potent when exercised by the innocent.
Muramasa and Light Spirit are available this month only, so grab both while you can!
Anyway, this month we clearly have the Muramasa and the Light Spirit.
I'll go over the Muramasa first. Remember when the Katana first came out? Remember how expensive they are now? I would buy a Muramasa right now. They will go up in price dramatically. Why?
They are a weapon/sword and the blade is red, white, and black. Red and Black items are the bane of the hardcore ATer. However, they are the shining light for anyone trying to make a good avatar fast. So, people will try to snatch this item up as fast as possible.
Personally, I do not like the Muramasa. Last month we saw the Nitemare Crown as the newest Black/Red item. I liked the crown because it could lead the Black/Red combo into many different directions. The Muramasa is a step back for Black/Red avatars. The Ninja avatars, Samurai Avatars, and terrible avatars will probably multiply.
The Muramasa Blade is good to get. Mostly, so that you can sell it again later.
Now, the Light Spirit.
I didn't think I could hate an item more than Rock Puppy or Mecha Form. I was wrong. The Light Spirit is the most pathetic excuse for a Monthly Collectible ever. This is why Gaians have lost faith in the Monthly Collectible. Coming up with something good seems to take the average Gaian a day to think of and the Gaian MC creators never come up with good ideas anymore.
Anyway, the Light Spirit has five poses. Two of which are companion poses. So, the Light Spirit has three poses.
One is Innocent Blush. Which can easily be done with the already available Masquerade. The pose offers nothing new.
Then we have Holy Runes and Summoning Circle. These poses are nothing I would ever use. Which isn't to say that I'm snobbing over the items. These poses are decent but, what are they? It would be almost impossible to shade match with the items. However, they would be perfect for Blobs.
Overall, terrible month. Terrible items for the avatar community. However, I would recommend getting the Muramasa. It'll help you get some extra gold later when it's gold price doubles. (As I expect it will)
