That is so crazy. On Thursday, September 16th, I will have been alive for about twenty-one years, which by law in these United States of America, lets me purchase, receive, and partake in alcoholic beverages, and rent a car without a guardian cosign. Being a nerd, I'm just going to hang out at home some weekend in the future, and play Long Live the King with my irl friends.
Speaking of which, I'm really sad that the online version completely fell apart, but there was nothing to be done for it. I think the game is too complicated to keep eight people in it online for the entire duration.
I'm probably not going to drink on my birthday, though I'm sure my parents are going to show up with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, and I'd be hard-pressed to turn them down. I do like a good cheap red wine, but I feel uncomfortable when it's my parents pushing it on me. It's so weird being able to drink in Europe, then coming back to the states and not being able to.
When my parents and I were traveling in Norway, customs caught my father accidentally trying to smuggle a huge bottle of Bailey's onto the plane, and confiscated it. His birthday is next month, so I think I'll replace it for him, it will probably be the best birthday present I've ever gotten him. He's so hard to shop for, like me.
But all I really want for my birthday is for my peeps to join me in a solid 6-hour session of LLK without anyone leaving early, or not showing up. But that's never ever happened before, which makes me sad. But alas.
I wouldn't say no to avi artz either >.> either gift'd or discounted.
So I'm not really doing anything special, it's really just a number to me, because I don't care about drinking all that much. I just really felt the need the write this up at people, and SGers are the coolest people on the internet.
