The two links below are just an example of the many sites on the topic Gaia vs. Christianity: http://home.olemiss.edu/~csjoseph/religion/rlgn.htm Gaia is a Cult sponsored by Al Gore: http://www.wealth4freedom.com/truth/5/GAIA.htmNow, when commenting, keep in mind that I am aware of the difference between Gaia the religion and Gaia online and I am not suggesting they are one and the same. However, this site was named after the religion and the Godess and I wonder why so many christians come here since Gaia is a threat to their religion. I guess they dont know what they support. The idea and essence of Gaia is ingrained within every pixel of this online world. It would be like muslims joining a site called Jesusworld.com, it's not gonna happen I am a Gaian, and it was my research on the religion that led me to this site

However, i dont think Gaiaonline gets it's name from this religion. Gaiaonline actually gets its name from the greek word for Earth (also translated as mother earth). This religion you speak of probably gets its name from the same place, but this religions beliefs don't neccessarily reflect the same beliefs of Gaiaonline. I do find the irony of the massive number of christian members of this site quite amusing regardless though whee P.S. Thanks for inviting me to the guild, i've never been invited to one before.... makes me feel kinda special biggrin

Gaia is more of a philosophy than a religion. We hope to have many such discussions as the guild matures, and you are special, thanks for coming

I've read the same post in the public forums. And I read the opposing statements of Gaia to Christianity and I must say, like Satanism, I agree with their words but remain strictly Atheist.

Gaia is the Mother Goddess in Greek mythology. Terra is the Roman name for Her. Sumerian mythology has the creature/goddess Tiamat. Likewise there are other goddesses in various mythologies that act as the Mother Goddess.

gaia is a commonly used word nowadays.
gaia may have been a number of 'Gods/ess' but tht doesnt mean that gaiaonline as a site is anti christian.
this1 knew of gaia long ago, manily because his ex girlfriend is pagan, and talks alot about the various folk religons, and other sorts of religions.
this1 does find it amussing listening to the really dumb christians slag off religions like the gaia religion, when they use a site named after the same mother earth they are arguing against

Um, yeah. Anti-Christian in the same way that any religion which isn't Christianity is anti-Christian because it isn't Christian?
That's like saying that Judaism is anti-Christian. Funny how it's also anti-Voodoo and anti-Hinduism...

And these gothic lolita dresses, they're totally converting people. Please point to me a single official aspect of this site which is religious. Ah, please point out to me the point where I said it was religious? The site was named after the Goddess of earth, not the word earth. Any Goddess is against Christian teachings, so there you go. I am sorry if you can not see the inherent irony involved with all the christian religiously posting their dogman all over the site.
