When I first read the book, I believed it, but now I'm on the fence... the most interesting points to me is the fact that he called his brother 'semi-retarded' when he said that David wasn't abused at all, and the fact that noone saw the scar that his mother had supposedly inflicted in him with a knife...
It's the absence of the scar [David's mother stabbed him with a knife] that bothers me - if there was good evidence that he did, in fact, have that scar, then I'd believe the book...
