“Feeling Empty”

My glass of life isn’t complete
But it’s not empty either
When I wake up from a dream
Where I feel fully complete
A world where he holds me in his arms
Filling me with nothing but love
Then I wake up feeling unusually empty
My dreams only stay dreams
I close my eyes and I live in a perfect world
My wishes only stay wishes
I have wished on a shining star for most of my life
If they were to come true I’d have him
But I don’t so they are only as they appear to be
I always create situations in my head
And they don’t become reality
It’s depressing to dream in an unfair universe
When your dreams are candy sweet
