http://www.rickrescorla.com/I BET there will be a documentary today about him. I encourage you to watch it. He had predicted BOTH attacks on the twin towers and had done practice drills for them (one attack was in the basement in 1993 AND there was the famous 9/11 attack) people got used to the drills though and took it for granted. In the end he saved MANY people (2700) and died for that. ((I didn't know about him until I saw the documentary. He is a hero and I didn't know about him D': they should mention him in the history books at school... Heck my dad didn't even know about him until I told him about it! ))

[I remember that day, I had just gotten up when my sister's friend had called us, she was crying on the phone and told us to turn on the television. Almost all the channels were covering the attack. We watch as things went from bad to worst, all those poor people who were trapped and doomed to die on the top floors of the towers. I couldn't handled it anymore when some of the people began to jump. The rest of the day at my home was silent.]
*gives moment of silence for all the victims*

A day of tragedy for America. Also how heroic and brave Americans can be.

((psh, I spent my day watching the history chanel :'D I'm mostly posting OOC due to the fact that I am an American citizen = 3 = I want to say something not just Austria XD))

I think we all lost something that day...even if it wasn't a family member...but now that I think about it, it just ended up uniting the whole world together.
It can be summed up by a quote made by a French journalist that I found in my history textbook: "We are all Americans."
