The sky grew darker as the sun withdrew beyond the horizon, and Jim could detect the dead creatures near by as he and his friends tried to make it back to their hideout after scavenging for supplies.

Adora's steps echoed as she walked down the halls of the building. She was armed and ready to shoot at any time. She heard a rustle behind her and turned, gun ready to shoot in about where a head would be. "Just the wind..." She sighed relieved to herself, only to turn and have a zombie jump on her. She let out a scream as the thing just missed her arm. She jabbed it in the face, getting it off of her for long enough for her to kick it off, stand up and kill it with a clean shot right between the eyes. She smirked as she continued on her way, down the quiet apartment building hall. She pulled out her walkie talkie that she had wired to the radio. She had finished clearing the hall and spoke quietly into it. "Hello, this is channel 287, is anybody out there? If so, please call 555-666-7874, please no comments on my cell number, the company decided on it, not me!" She sat in a chair, gun ready, repeating the message.

" Nice work", Jim said softly into his headgear, just be more careful, of them up close. "And also make sure you don't stay out too long, there could be more".

"With ya on that, this place gives me the creeps. Watch the window, Im busting through. Dont trust the main entrance..." She muttered back. She put her things away and looked out of the window. Aim for the next roof I guess... She thought, before bulling through, just barely landing on the next roof, "Did you see that?!" She laughed into the headgear, pulling herself up.

"Niiiicce, but watch for cuts, were gonna have to head back to the hideout soon, I say we pick some stuff up at the armory surplus store.

"Meet you there." She said before running and leaping across roads, Zombies swarming teh streets. "Bring your gun...." She told him, Before long she was above the Armoury store. She stood from the roof picking off the zombies. There were less here, so it was easy. "Clearing teh way for ya!" She laughed.

Jim took cover under a small fence," I'm throwin an incindiary grenade, take cover!" and lobbed the explosive in the center of the crowd. Making a few... Zombarbeques. "Tough luck compadre!" Jim shouted.

Adora laughed, "Nice shot!" She killed the straglers and found a way off of he roof top. She raced into the shop and searched around. "Ssuspiciously empty...." She said to the ear set, before continuing her exploration.

In a dark end of an alley, a pack of zombies loitered around. Then they sensed a human presence, which meant food for them. They turned their attention to the smoke coming from the other end. They saw a half-hidden face with eyes looking straight at them. In a frenzy they went towards the figure. The eyes kept looking at them as they came closer and closer, then without warning and remorse, two shots were fired, bringing a row of zombies crashing to the ground. Few more shots rang into the darkness, 'til every zombie lay flat and bleeding.
The figure stood up, shotgun in hand, and a cigarette in her mouth, and started walking. Time to go... Echo muttered.

Surviving, to say the least. Nice to hear from you Jim. Echo spoke into her radio. Haha, very funny Adora. Better die by smoking than die by being zombie chow. She muttered, killing her cigarette. Still monitoring the alley ways, and I found some canned goods along the way. A bit tampered, but not expired.
