I tried scanning it and doing stuff like tracing and using that wand tool thing but it didn't really work out well. Do I need a certain program for it???

Wow. Thanks a s**t load. Kinda sucks though since I already drew my character xD All I would really need now is an emoish hair style, which I may be able to make on MS paint. I'll actually upload my drawing for the RP probably tomorrow and then work on the sprite.
