User ImageOn an island off of the Country of Tea, there lies the Country of Flowers where Sakuragakure no Sato is found. It is very small and is known to have an incredibly high birthrate of baby girls, the whole village is filled with a majority of females and many actually leave the island in order to find a suitable partner. Though, I can assure you, these women aren't ones that'll be sitting around in the house, expected to clean, cook and breastfeed.... AT THE SAME TIME. No, because the island seems to be overpopulated with WOMEN, they had to create some sort of 'force' that could be called upon when in need, thus, the Hidden Village of Cherry Blossoms was created. Specializing in skills that are traditional to the ways of the 'kunoichi'. And in this village, they try to emphasis the differences between a 'kunoichi' and a 'shinobi'.

Though given a different name, they are still ninja and are spies/tools. A kunoichi though is more a mistress of deception and 'flowery combat'. She is a spy, messenger and observer. Her training, although similar to her male counterparts, focuses more on the psychological techniques, including manipulation, disguise, feminine charm and the use of female intuition. She may also be taught how to not only play with the emotions of others, but to keep their own emotions in check - traditionally, they were not allowed to fall in love with their targets. "Kunoichi" or, "female ninja" are classified as part of the kamae of sui (water) and were cultivate to manipulate energy through preying on increased feelings of emotional satisfaction; like the ocean, they would draw out, only to come back, like a wave at riptide, in unexpected ways. Because woman naturally aren't as muscular as men (with exceptions) they have their own practices. But, in normal 'shinobi' terms, these women tend to be incredibly skilled in control and genjutsu. They make excellent medical ninja and are sometimes requested to accompany other villages on long term missions. But, over all, they are given special training in psychological skills and intuition.

Traditionally, kunoichi are taught to manipulate men high-up in the enemy hierarchy, they were known to conceal blades inside musical instruments and sex toys. So really... you'll need to be careful if you're requesting the company of a female from Sakuragakure. They are spies, and while they were taught not to fall in love with their targets or lose sight of their ultimate goal after successful seduction, they may also be not so obviously ninja with disguises as maids, mistresses, entertainers, fortunetellers, prostitutes, or artists.

So, in other worlds, you're going to have to be careful when exploring the village.
