Anybody already getting ready for this year?
PostPosted: Mon Sep 20, 2010 12:39 pm

I've decided on a title.
Getting ready to start outlining.
But I know that as soon as I do, I'm going to want to start writing, which will be problematic.
But I have a couple of ideas unrelated to the title I've decided on, so maybe I can use one of those instead if my willpower breaks.

This year's title?
Chocolate Milk, Sweet Tea, and Beer: A Novel in Three Acts
Inspired by the contents of my friend's refrigerator.

Cathartic Denouement

Anxious Codger

I've gotten a start, anybody else gotten a start?

My year's title though isn't fully thought out yet, nor has the synopsis.
But I've so far gone with 'Reality breakers' name of the group that it focuses on. Basically another supergroup to add to this world, but it focuses on a young group of boys, inspired by my friend, who go through emotional and complex feelings as they work for the government to fight off supernatural monsters that are given life by the same things that gave them their unique powers, that range from super eyesight to telepathy.
At the same time it focuses a lot on a fictional character I wrote that owes gratitude to a superpowered group like them and tries to help the boys. He brings an moral argument in the story though about life satisfaction versus reaching full potential and tries to shift the image of the boys from being weapons of the government to human beings who are just have superpowers.

It's hard to explain what it's about and what it fully offers being that I'm tired right now, but I'm already got 25,000words done? Anyone else want to share how they're doing and what they've done so far.

Link to my thing http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/139252, feel free to add me as a writing buddy if you feel like it.
