I don't know about anyone else, but the burning that is going to happen on September 11th, is starting to piss me off for several different reasons.
1. It IS going to put U.S. Troops in danger in the middle east. It is like giving gasoline to a bon-fire.
2. It's completely selfish. I know that there are a lot of people in the U.S. that aren't against Islam or Muslims, but many in the middle east don't know that. This is just going to make them think that all Americans are horrible people.
3. It's incredibly disrespectful. How would Christians feel, if there was a bible burning? [<-- is Pagan]
This also reminds me of the book burnings that the Nazi's preformed during WWII. Do we really want to put ourselves on the same pages as them? It depresses and pisses me off that people would actually support this event.

I agree with you completely. There is no real purpose in doing such a thing. It will only sow resentment and destory all previous attempts and efforts to get along. I don't think enciting more violence, disrespect and judgement is a very good way to honor those who died on September 11th. Even if people disagree with Islam (I'm a Catholic) this is just horribly rude, selfish, and undoubtibly mean-spirited. stressed
Not only that but such an act would have costly consecquence on future attempts to reconcile differences and just make the U.S. look in even worse in the eyes of the world. gonk

You guys are all right! These people really need to get over this...I mean 9/11 was very sad and depressing. But they don't need to be all mean and rascist (or religiost??) on Islam/Muslim! *sigh* And they call America the home of the free........ xp

Oh dear... I can't not BEGIN with how bad my World History teacher burned him in class.
It was beautiful to hear. It's ironic to me. Honestly, I thought Floridians were better than this! We are surrounded by all cultures and people! This is such GARBAGE!!
Dang it all! I've seen a Jewish/Arabic(I guess Muslim) couple work out here! And... STUPID!
Like the saying "He who burns books is not far from burning people' or something like that! We already tried to arrest a ambassador for saying it was 'my last flight' trying to go have a normal meeting and just....
WHY are people so STUPID!?
